Loved it! The staff were very kind, breakfast was solid (actually good, fresh bagels), and the room/bathroom made good use of space. View from the bar on the top floor is awesome. Decor is a little dated in the hotel so the place needs a refresh, but the bones are great. Excellent value.

Dec 22, 2024 · Ted MoranJust recently this month I stayed at the hotel with my girlfriend. Being from Europe, the hotel prices in New York are definitely something most Europeans find unbelievable. However, this hotel had the best value by far (in my opinion). Breakfast was basic but a great start in the day, as it was included in the nightly fee (clearly stated on their website and in the messages I got sent by booking.com). Furthermore, one can always ask for more water bottles at the reception, which is of course standard for most 4-Star hotels but definitely not the norm for New York Hotels. I was really impressed by the kindness of the 4 female members and the one male member of front staff we encountered. In my case, they were patient and really helpful. Luggage storage worked perfectly and the room was really clean. Nevertheless, like almost every New York Hotel that is not 2.000$ per night, this one is a bit old and some cabinets or closets were slightly damaged. But the view and space of the room (again- comparison in New York) made up for that. Subway was really close too (I suggest Grand St, especially with luggage). Chinatown is a really vibrant neighborhood but it was always quiet enough to sleep. Overall, we had an amazing stay in mid-October!
Oct 23, 2024 · Henri RosenbrockGreat value. Good location in Chinatown. Close to subway. Compact room, but comfortable especially since I was alone. I was on the 11th floor with a great view of the Empire State Building. Was quieter than I expected. Nice breakfast was included. Staff was helpful. I'd stay here again.
Mar 04, 2025 · Rob SThis is a very small hotel that lacks a loading area and assistance for arriving guests. Don’t arrive early unless willing to pay additional to check in early even if the room is available. Compare the reservation to the guest checking paperwork. There may be differences and a lack of staff support to correct errors. Expect small rooms but nice room amenities.
Feb 15, 2025 · Maria WitkowskiTwo nights of terrible sleep makes for a bad vacation, and this hotel was the cause. Prepare to sweat it out if you stay here, because you won’t be able to control the temperature of your room. Based on older reviews, this is a long standing issue they haven’t addressed. Yes, this hotel has a great location. Rooms are the norm for NYC, small and slightly rundown. But what ruined our trip was two nights of sweltering heat (in November!) because rooms don’t control their own temperature. Over breakfast, we heard many other people with the same issue. The front desk staff clearly know this is an issue and that nothing real can be done. They provide fans (doesn’t do anything) and offer to send the “engineering” team to take a look. All useless.
