Clean, modern hotel in a great location. However, that’s where the positives end. We arrived around noon and requested an early check-in, if a room was available. We were told our room was available, but we would have to pay a $27 fee for early check in. No thanks - that’s kind of ridiculous though since the room was ready and just sitting there already. I’ve never had to pay that at any hotel before. Then our room was positioned literally across from the elevator, which was a no go. It’s impossible to stay asleep here because of the noise and commotion in the hallways. Thankfully I wore my custom ear plugs after the first night and was okay. Maybe the other rooms are better from a noise perspective, but this experience makes it impossible for us to return.

A notable feature highlighted by guests is the complimentary offering of croissants from Ferrara Bakery, the oldest Italian bakery located across the street from the hotel. This is described as a delightful morning treat, and a visit to Ferrara is highly recommended as a true gastronomic experience.
The hotel is considered excellent, with top-notch service. Guests appreciate the attention to detail, noting that every aspect, including brushes, slippers, and other amenities, is carefully thought out. The focus on guest comfort and details is described as priceless, leading to highly enjoyable stays.
However, one guest reported a less positive experience regarding noise. They mentioned being asked to pay a $27 fee for an early check-in, even though their room was reportedly ready. Additionally, their room was located directly across from the elevator, resulting in significant noise and commotion in the hallways, making it difficult to sleep. While custom earplugs helped, this experience led them to state they would not return. It's worth noting that this guest suggested other rooms might be better in terms of noise.

Mar 16, 2025 · Thor YThis is our fifth time staying at this hotel! Amazing service! The rooms are new and clean, and the staff is always ready to help and check us in earlier if possible. The location is perfect! In the morning, they offer croissants from the oldest Italian bakery across from the hotel as a gift. I highly recommend visiting Ferrara! A true gastronomic delight! The hotel is excellent, and the service is top-notch! Every detail is carefully thought out — even the brushes, slippers, and all the other amenities. The attention to guests and details is priceless! Stay here and enjoy!
Jan 22, 2025 · Maria StolyarovaThe hotel is lovely. Right in the middle of “real NYC”Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and a short walk to Greenwich Village. Subway is really close. Be mindful. This isnt midtown. The subway will take you to all the tourist sites. The room was perfectly designed for travelling, with plenty of electric outlets to charge everything, room safe, mini fridge (empty) comfy bed and fantastic shower. Room is small if you arent used to NYC hotel rooms. Staff was fantastic. Its an authentic NY experience. And great view from the roof.
Feb 09, 2025 · Rebecca SchafferCons : 1) thin walls - can hear everything in hallways 2) no daily cleaning (not stated at least when I booked or maybe I missed it) 3) for winter: cold rooms - set at 67 and max 78 but heater turns on very slowly, blanket is thin. 4) street noise . I paid for premium room and I’m not sure what’s upgraded from normal room. I’m pretty sure they just gave me the normal room. Friendly upon greeting but the guy seemed bothered when I requested turn down service (staying for two nights and I just wanted the sheets turned down - whole room didn’t needed to be cleaned or sheets changed). It was also my gf birthday and it’s nice to come back to a hotel where the bed is made. They did accommodate the request so that was nice. This is going to sound weird but some of the staff made facial expressions when asking for things. Like they are awkward. Pros: although city size room, well organized . Nice shower. Bright room that covers well with window shades. I think if staff was better at handling request without being bothered by it in their body language (like it’s better to say a warm no if needing to say no) then I would give it a little higher rating. But certainly not a 4.8 hotel - I’ve stayed at many in nyc and I would give it a 3 star. It’s a nice location if you want to be near soho and Chinatown . Parking at Mott street garage can charge your car for you. That’s nice too . I wouldn’t had stopped at a Tesla supercharger before that if I had known.
Feb 09, 2025 · Chin HoA truly excellent stay at this well appointed boutique hotel. It has everything you need, clean spacious rooms with extra toiletries and slippers, and coffee and tea downstairs. There is even a little stuffed monkey that is a gift for staying. We had a great overnight exploring nearby LES hot spots, they are of course happy to watch your luggage once you check out in the morning. We will definitely come back!
