We stayed for three nights and absolutely loved this hotel. It was spotless, and the rooms looked exactly like the photos — no surprises, just clean, stylish, and comfortable. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces, and it was super convenient to get to coming off the I-10. A unique touch: the ground floor doubles as a museum, which gave the place some really interesting character. The only minor downside is that there’s no food or drink available in the hotel after the café and shop close, and no breakfast offered — but we knew that when booking and planned ahead. There’s a nice coffee machine in the room, which helped. Location-wise, it was perfect — an easy walk to everything we needed in the French Quarter. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

May 26, 2025 · Chloe PearsonMy husband and I stayed here the first week of April and it was such a treat! Our room was very spacious, loved the vibe, and overlooked St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 which was just so cool. It was generally pretty quiet at night, just far enough away from the hub bub of the busy nightlife, but still incredibly walkable. We always had fresh towels and the beds were comfortable and clean. Looking forward to staying here again!
Apr 23, 2025 · Tara MiksikJust across the street from the French quarter but w/ dedicated ample parking, clean building and well cared for rooms, and of course quiet when its time you want to take a break at your room or go to sleep. The building is a historic location and is a major stop for the Hop-On Hop-off bus tour. Loved our stay!
May 17, 2025 · OAThe Brakeman Hotel is a hidden gem. This boutique hotel is only a few blocks from the French Quarter and the rooms and parking are at a much better price point than FQ hotels. Even though this is a stop on the Hop On/Off bus tours, access to the hotel rooms is very secure. Everything about it was charming from the staff, historical decor of the building to the room itself. I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was, and loved the walk-in shower. A huge plus was the Keurig with a drawer full of K-cups. We will definitely be back.
May 25, 2025 · Felicia Hull-LeffallWe stayed here to be close to the French Quarter and it was a great choice. There was plenty of parking (for a $20/day fee) and very convenient car access to I-10 and within walking distance of the river and Jackson square. They run tours out of the hotel which we didn't do but it looked like it would have been very convenient.
