We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric. Everything was amazing. We even had an issue with air conditioning and the front desk sent up a technician right away. We ended up having to move rooms but the technician was so helpful. The room was spacious and comfy. We met the housekeeper and she was very sweet and cleaned our room well. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Location was perfect! Our family gives this hotel 5 stars!

Apr 28, 2025 · Thao SwansonFirst time staying at Hyatt in NOLA and second at a Hyatt in general. Much like Nashville, this location is great! It is close to everything on Bourbon Street, yet just a block or two off the path so you still get that quiet city calm for sleeping. Loved the bar area and cocktails (would recommend for a quick night cap), and the rooms were pretty spacious and clean. Gave it a 4 only because there was a mix up with our room and when we got put into the new room, the thermostat didn't really work. 🫠🥵 If you get a chance to meet Jabari and Maria (staff on site), you're lucky! Both were incredibly kind, delightful and accommodating to us guests! Someone give those two a raise! Really made our trip amazing and gave us a real treat of southern hospitality! ❤️
Jun 09, 2025 · Rachel 'Bo' ThompsonWe stayed in the Balcony King Room overlooking Bourbon Street. It was absolutely amazing, complete with a balcony to look down on Bourbon Street, which was amazing during the weekend. A little note: the balcony doors are near soundproof, so we had no issue with noise. There is so much to praise about this hotel, from the bellhops, valet, and even the bartender Ken (who happened to be the most idealistic version of a bartender, well-versed in conversation as well as mixology). Our bags were brought to our room, our car was parked, and everything was turnkey and as easy as possible. There were two elevators that were down, which became a slight issue; however, the absolutely splendid service of this hotel made up for any shortcomings. The rooms were as clean as a hospital, and the views are second to none. I cannot rave enough about this hotel. The food served there was as perfect as the drinks made at the bar; clearly, this hotel hires the best employees in their respective fields. I highly recommend it and plan on returning.
May 23, 2025 · Anonymous Miles (Meyham)The Hyatt Centric is a beautiful hotel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and professional. I want to give special recognition to the hotel manager, Maya, who was absolutely amazing. During our stay, we experienced a health scare, and Maya went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her compassion, responsiveness, and genuine care made a challenging situation much easier to navigate. I am forever grateful to her and the entire Hyatt Centric team for their exceptional service and support. Because of this incredible experience, we will absolutely return to New Orleans—and there’s no question we’ll be staying at the Hyatt Centric again. Highly recommended!
Jun 01, 2025 · Cortney SWe had a good stay at this hotel and would consider staying here again. It’s very well situated in the French Quarter—perfect for walking to restaurants, bars, etc. That said, the location does mean there can be a fair amount of street noise, which might be an issue for light sleepers or those especially sensitive to sound. The hotel offers solid value for the price, though it is starting to show its age in some areas. The elevators in particular could use an upgrade—only one was working during our stay, and it was very slow. We often chose to take the stairs to the fourth floor rather than wait several minutes. Check-in was smooth, the staff were welcoming, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I also want to give a special shoutout to Eric, who truly went above and beyond. Without us even asking, he came over and kindly offered help with directions and local recommendations. It’s people like him that make you want to come back. Overall, a decent option if you want to stay in the middle of the action in New Orleans.
