It's more like a serviced residence with kitchen ware available to do some quick cooking. I bought groceries from Traders Joe nearbu and made some quick dinner using a microwave there. The place is neat, quiet and the staff are very kind and accommodating.
Hello, Washington D.C. residents! Sometimes, a traditional hotel room just doesn't offer the space, flexibility, or home-like comforts you need, especially for stays that extend beyond a few nights. That's where The Concordia truly shines. More akin to a sophisticated serviced residence than a conventional hotel, The Concordia offers a unique and highly appealing accommodation option right here in our nation's capital.
Designed for those who appreciate independence alongside attentive service, The Concordia provides spacious suites equipped with full kitchens, making it ideal for business travelers on long assignments, individuals undergoing home renovations, or even locals hosting extended family visits. Beyond its practical amenities, it boasts a commitment to environmental consciousness and a warm, international community feel. This article will guide you through The Concordia's prime location, its distinctive services, key features, and why it's a suitable choice for those of us living in the District.
The Concordia is conveniently located at 1250 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036, USA. This address places it in a highly desirable and central part of Washington D.C., nestled between the vibrant Dupont Circle and Washington Circle. This location offers an excellent balance of accessibility, local charm, and proximity to key city destinations.
For D.C. locals, the accessibility is a significant advantage. The hotel is just a short walk from the Dupont Circle Metro station (approx. 15-minute walk) and the Farragut West WMATA station, connecting you to the city's comprehensive Metro system. This makes commuting to various neighborhoods, government offices, or attractions incredibly easy and efficient, whether for work or leisure. Its "walker's paradise" rating (98 out of 100 from WalkScore.com) highlights its proximity to essential amenities like grocery stores (including a nearby Trader Joe's, as noted by a guest), coffee shops, restaurants, and cultural centers.
The Concordia's central positioning also means it's within walking distance of major institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, making it exceptionally convenient for professionals affiliated with these organizations. For those attending events or exploring, it's also close to The Phillips Collection Art Museum, The George Washington University, and just a short ride to iconic landmarks like the White House, Smithsonian museums, and the Kennedy Center. While parking options are available (often on a limited and complimentary basis, as noted in some sources), the excellent public transport access often negates the need for a car for local exploration.
The Concordia distinguishes itself by offering services tailored to extended stays, blending the comforts of home with the conveniences of a hotel. Here's a look at what guests can expect:
The Concordia is characterized by a set of thoughtful features that contribute to its unique appeal as a serviced residence in Washington D.C.:
While The Concordia primarily serves a niche clientele, it aims to provide value and comfortable stays. However, the hotel does offer various benefits and it's always advisable to contact them directly or check their official website for any specific seasonal or long-term stay discounts.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on any available offers or special rates, particularly if you are affiliated with their primary clientele, it is highly recommended to contact The Concordia directly or visit their official website's "Offers" section.

Furthermore, for those hosting extended visits from family or friends, The Concordia offers an ideal solution. Your guests can enjoy the privacy and amenities of their own apartment-style suite while being close to your home and having the flexibility to prepare their own meals. This is especially beneficial for long-term visitors who might appreciate the ability to maintain their routines.

May 06, 2025 · Jessica WooThe room was very nice. The hotel is simple and clean. My only reservation is that I had an injury. I asked if they had a bag of ice and they seemed completely flummoxed. I suggested a garbage bag and some ice from the freezer and they looked at me blankly. Perfectly friendly, but not obviously good at basic problem-solving.
Nov 12, 2024 · Chris BlattmanProfessional and friendly staff, spotlessly clean. Five stars for the balance of cost vs amenities and good location. The well-equipped kitchenette and three-quarter size fridge is welcome, the workspace is ample and bedding excellent. Rooms at the back have balconies and not much of a view, while those at the front have a better view but no balconies. No bathtub, if that's important to you. Iron and ironing board supplied, as is a small nespresso machine with a few pods to get you started. Among the benefits of location: three-minute walk to a Streets Market grocery store. No food service on premises but a range of options within a block or two. The photos posted by management are accurate.
Apr 18, 2024 · Gregory BoydOver the past 6 years the Concordia has become my home away from home. Every single person in this hotel, from GM Jean on down, has been absolutely a treasure to deal with. They make every stay easy, comfortable, and fun. Great location, I walk everywhere from here!
May 19, 2024 · Jennifer FowkesGreat stay for several days in this hotel. The room is large, clean, and feels fresh. The location is good too, you can go to many places just by walking from this hotel. They have a free laundry machines, but you need to buy the detergent by yourself. They clean the room everyday. They got nespresso machine in the room so you can enjoy your day with a cup of coffee. They have kitchen, refrigerator, and microwave in the room. Would love to recommend this hotel to my friends.
