We were traveling from across the US, and from the moment we arrived from the airport to this hotel, it was such a great experience. The front office manager checked me and my daughter in, joked and laughed with us and made us feel welcome. The room was beautiful, and the balcony was the best part, in my opinion. My favorite spots are sitting on a good balcony, with a coffee and a good book. And it just happened to be raining that Saturday, so this one was just beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful, and accommodating. I usually sleep 5 to 6 hours a night, and I'm not a good sleeper, i don't take naps, and am a light sleeper, but the first night here I slept 10 1/2 hours, I most likely needed the sleep, but the bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I just can't say enough about traveling from a different state and having such an all around great experience from the rooms to the people. It really made our trip special. The downside to this hotel that I have to add, and probably why these rooms are not more expensive, is there is a hospital with an emergency room about 2 blocks away, so your getting fire trucks blaring down the street below every so often, and even though the windows look like the hotel tried to make them sound proof, they just weren't. I read a review that stated this before I booked the hotel and bought some cheap silicone ear plugs, worked like a charm and only needed one plug because the other side of my head sunk into the big fluffy pillow. My opinion, from someone who loves taking weekend trips, and have been to 20+ hotels all over, despite the noise at night, this hotel is very much worth it. I highly highly recommend!

Apr 29, 2025 · Stephanie PaysonI went to this hotel as part of a work retreat and I loved my stay here! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was treated warmly by the entire staff and felt well taken care of. The doorman, Jerome, was especially kind—always welcoming our group inside and making sure our luggage was handled with care. My room was very spacious and included a mini kitchen stocked with complimentary water, coffee, and tea. Having a microwave and utensils came in handy when I needed to eat my takeout before checking out. The hotel is also conveniently located—less than a 10-minute drive to the Washington Monument, or a little over 30 minutes on foot if you’re up for a stroll. My colleagues and I agree that this is one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at. I would definitely stay here again!
May 18, 2025 · Katherine TuangcoThis was hands down the best hotel I ever stayed at in the U.S.. I stayed in a lot of places, including several 5-star big chain hotels, but nowhere was the service so excellent and friendly as here. From the gentlemen at the door to the reception to the housekeeping staff, everybody was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Absolutely amazing. The rooms are big, bright and beautifully designed. Unlike most hotels, the housekeeping makes up the room UNLESS you tell them not to, not the other way round as now usual in the U.S.. While my previous hotel charged me 10 Dollars for each delivery they received on my behalf, just to shelf it away for a few hours, at aka, they receive the delivery, put it in your room and that's it. The cherry on top were the free-of-charge washing machines and dryers which are very helpful when you stay for almost 2 weeks. The only small thing that bothered me was that the kitchen at their restaurant closes at 9pm which i find a bit early. Very recommendable place in a nice location.
Jun 18, 2025 · Marc M.Okay, I stayed here for 11 days, I just came from a really bad Hilton in NY, this hotel was just so refreshing. The staff is friendlyC helpful and forthcoming! The rooms are clean, spacious and have all the things you need and if you need anything the staff is always ready to help! Honestly I think this will become my standard hotel in DC if ever I come back to visit again, and I think I will try their other locations too whenever I can! Very cool! Thanks for the great stay and the great sleep!
Jun 13, 2025 · Alexander VartzbedReally great hotel in a really great location, with great customer service – Kudos to them. Was in town for the holiday weekend and this was our home away from home. The suites are spacious and bright and the bathroom was huge ha ha. The balcony gave us a great view overlooking the vicinity.. thank goodness for the good weather. Also, the little cherry on top was the Nespresso machine in the suite. Those helped my mornings shine just a tad bit brighter. Didn’t get a chance to check out any of the hotel’s food. Didn’t see much that was appetizing to vegetarians.. seems like most meals came with meat and no substitutions. Bummer. The fitness center was also really good and had more equipment than expected. So, it was really easy for me to hit the gym to get my days started. Overall, enjoyed the stay. Next time back in town, will definitely stay at the AKA (I rhymed there) I’d recommend this hotel to everyone. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. 👍🏽👍🏽
