6 Columbus - Central Park Hotel

I stayed at this hotel about 10 days ago, from feb 20 to 23 for a conference. I paid my rate and deposit(for a total of $761.3) using a DEBIT card, whereby the funds were immediately drawn from my account. Upon check out, I repaid my bill for the stay($561.3) using cash, and was assured by the front desk staff that my earlier charge would be cancelled. I was also provided a receipt confirming cash payment. However, my cancellation and subsequent refund has not yet been processed. 761 dollars is not a trivial amount, and I would expect a quicker response considering the circumstances. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope to hear from you soon. Stay-wise, the hotel is great. The king deluxe was spacious, location superb, and housekeeping efficient. Apart from the refund issue, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC. [Update] Total refund was processed on March 10.

Just returned home after a quick getaway to NYC and was sad to leave 6 Columbus! Friendly and attentive staff handled all of our requests (we had our 2 kids - 8 and 11 - with us) and made our stay so comfortable. The King Suite was the perfect size for all 4 of us and we had round the clock assistance with room amenities, valet parking, and luggage check. You can’t beat the price or location. The Columbus Circle subway station is across the street and all midtown attractions/Central Park/Times Square are an easy walk. We will definitely be back (when it’s warmer and can take advantage of the rooftop or a terrace room)! Thanks for a great stay.

We had the best time at 6 Columbus! The boutique Hotel is in the heart of everything and minutes to anywhere we needed to be! Accommodations were as expected - if not better! Christopher made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable! He really goes above and beyond! The holidays can be so hectic, but he was able to navigate with ease! The staff overall was very attentive to our every need. The sushi restaurant/bar adjoining the hotel downstairs was a fun place for an evening cocktail! As a family of three, we highly recommend this hotel!

I've stayed at 6 Columbus multiple times while visiting my son in the hospital 2 blocks away (and keep returning). Wonderful location: 2 mins to Central Park, 7 minutes to Carnegie Hall. The rooms are small and typically without views. The beds are comfortable, the hot water and towels are great. Occasional issues with heat and the safe were very quickly fixed by the staff. No coffeemaker, but there's a Starbucks next door on one side, and a great bagel shop on the other side. Side entrance to Columbus Centre is right across the (quiet) street: Whole Foods has lots of prepared foods you can heat in their microwaves and eat there or bring back to your room. Peek-a-boo view of Central Park from the small but well fitted out roof deck. In the Summer there's a bar on the roof with a retracting roof.

I highly recommend booking here! The location is fantastic—just steps from Central Park and conveniently nestled between a Starbucks and bakery. There are plenty of nearby dining options, and we enjoyed a nice walk back from a Broadway show near Time Square. The room was clean and exactly what we needed (and I’m very picky about this!). What truly stood out, however, was the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Having not visited New York City in many years, I found the city a bit intimidating at first, but the staff made a huge difference in our experience. I stayed the weekend of 11/16/24, and though I can’t recall their names, the daytime gentleman, the nighttime lady, and the bellman were all exceptional. Thank you—we’ll definitely be back!
