My recent experience at the Da Vinci Hotel New York was shockingly poor and deeply frustrating. We booked our stay expecting basic hygiene and comfort—what we encountered instead was entirely unacceptable. Within the first two days, we found our room infested with ants and silverfish, not just a few but over twenty ants pouring out from the AC unit and multiple silverfish. We promptly reported the issue three separate times, each time being reassured it would be resolved. However, the hotel management completely failed to rectify the situation, forcing us to evacuate after two nights. To add insult to injury, the hotel's response was to falsely accuse us of causing the infestation by leaving "open candy" in the room, something entirely untrue as we don't even eat candy. They also falsely accused that it was one incident, and not the 3 we had reported to them. Despite our repeated requests for a fair refund given that we had to book another hotel for three additional nights (costing us over $700 extra), the hotel management refused accountability and offered a meager $92, insufficient considering our expenses and the distress caused. The hotel’s dismissive attitude, refusal to acknowledge the severity of the problem, and dishonest claims about the situation demonstrate an alarming lack of customer care and professionalism. I strongly advise potential guests to avoid the Da Vinci Hotel. The hygiene standards are evidently poor, and management's reaction to genuine complaints is defensive, misleading, and utterly inadequate. Our experience was not only inconvenient and costly but genuinely distressing. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Apr 09, 2025 · Klaus SalminenWe were thoroughly impressed with this hotel. For an economy option, especially during the busy Thanksgiving holiday, it exceeded our expectations in every way – from its convenient location and budget-friendly price to the comfortable and well-maintained rooms. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, and our room was surprisingly quiet and clean. We particularly appreciated the minimal light pollution, ensuring a peaceful and restful night’s sleep free from the distraction of glaring LED lights. Without hesitation, we will choose this hotel again for future trips to New York. We wholeheartedly recommend it to other travelers.
Jan 04, 2025 · Sophia GarrettThis is a European like boutique hotel located by Columbus Circle in NYC. The location to Columbus Circle, Central Park, subways, eateries and stores (Nordstrom's)is fantastic. We stayed for 2 nights on Thanksgiving and the day after so prices were high. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The lobby is quite nice with a seating area and brochures and maps available. A 15 percent discount is available to find at the adjacent Italian restaurant. We stayed on the 5th floor. The hallways are quite tight and the elevator was sometimes slow. The beds were mediocre, the pillows were horribly flat and uncomfortable. The bathroom was spacious and there was plenty of hot water. Complimentary soap, shampoo and lotion was provided. There was a mini fridge and safe. No microwave. There were some dings and dents in the flooring and furniture and a crack in the mirrored armoire and bathroom sink had multiple cracks. The hot water faucet was loose and hard to turn on or off. All of these things by themselves are understandable and to be expected, but it cheapens the experience when paying premium prices for a not premium setting where things aren't being repaired or updated. The area was quiet. All in all ok but not I would return unless the price was was lower.
Dec 26, 2024 · Denise A.It is a very nice choice for tourists to stay in New York. Very close to Central Park, MET, MoMA, 5th and 7th Ave. Multiple choices of subway(subways and the subway, lol). Only if you come here during the off -season, this hotel would offer you a satisfying price. I live in 3rd floor and it is very quiet. Ample heating and 24-hour hot water make me a lucky man in freezing January New York. I am warmly welcomed by the front staffs. Nice memories ever.
