We stayed here for three nights and overall we would recommend it. Check-in was easy, friendly, and quick. There are two elevators and we didn’t experience any issues or unusually long wait times. The room was great. The bed was comfortable as was the bedding. The bathroom was nice sized with lots of counter space. The shower was nice sized as well with plenty of hot water. The towels were not plush but adequate. The room was surprisingly large. We requested a coffee maker and fridge upon check-in. When we got to the room there was already a fridge in the room and the coffee maker was brought in later that night while we were out. It was quite warm/mild during our stay so having AC would have been nice (they apparently turn it off during the winter??) so we just opened the window to cool it off at night. The room was clean and having a chair and foot stool was nice. They cleaned our room daily but never replaced the coffee so we had to go get more every day. The room was adequately sound proofed to the sounds of the city and we slept without earplugs. This was despite there being a huge group of young athletes staying at the hotel who were extremely loud in the common areas. The biggest draw back was the overpowering smell in the hallways and the lobby of some kind of sanitizer? It was horrible. It assaulted you upon entry and never dissipated or faded. We had a glass of wine one night and a cocktail our last night at the lounge and couldn’t imagine trying to eat with that smell stuck in our noses. Thankfully, the smell was not in our room. I did send them a message while we were there and they did apologize for the inconvenience. It was close to all the major sites, Broadway and the subway. The lounge was nice (except for the smell) and Nancy was great. I will say that they should enforce their rule of not bringing in outside food and drink. The staff work very hard and to bring in food and take up table space is wrong. We would return.

Mar 17, 2025 · Kristi CWe stayed at the Park Central Hotel in mid-March and it is a nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the bar area was very nice. We booked 2 rooms and provided a $200 deposit for each. While one has been returned less a bar charge, the other hasn't yet been returned. Other hotels we stayed at returned the deposit within 1-2 business days which is what I would expect. It's now been three weeks and the deposit still hasn't been returned. Edit: If your team could look into this then that would be helpful. If you physically cancel the deposit transaction then it’s usually returned quite quickly. If you wait for the transaction to expire then it can take up to a month. Please confirm what the situation is.
Apr 06, 2025 · Derek Philip-XuOverall, I had a good stay here having booked a package through the airline. My room (King room on 7th floor) was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious too with great lighting and plenty of hot water at all times of day. The location is unrivalled being a few blocks from beautiful Central Park, walking distance to everything and close to some amazing restaurants. There's a subway round the corner if you're headed downtown for anything and don't want to walk. Being British I requested a kettle so I could make tea in the mornings and this was brought up to my room 20 mins later along with some takeaway coffee cups which was appreciated. Housekeeping staff were so friendly and asked what you needed every day which was great. The staff were also very helpful when I needed to extend my stay at last minute due to a flight home cancellation, although one member of staff had initially told me it wasn't possible to extend, before I spoke to another member of staff who sorted it out for me, so there are some differences in staff training perhaps. Huge thanks to Angela for extending my stay and to another team member who gave me a breakfast voucher after my travel stress! When I left the luggage storage staff helped me secure a taxi to the airport which was super appreciated as the AirTrain was down that day. In terms of areas for improvement, I did think the staff could be a bit more welcoming on arrival. Additionally, during my stay the hotel was full of large groups of unaccompanied young people / students who were incredibly noisy in corridors at night and frequently took up space in common areas at times when I wanted to use them. There were no chaperones or teachers in sight. Having visited NYC as a 15 year old some years ago I understand the excitement of visiting with your friends and teenagers will be teenagers, but the levels of noise were unacceptable, luckily I wasn't afraid to ask them to keep the noise down myself. I would recommend that to keep its otherwise cosy and peaceful feel, that the hotel enforces tighter rules around the conduct of big groups, working with chaperones and teachers where necessary. I would definitely return to this hotel and had a great stay here but would want to see that the hotel revises its policies as above as I felt the noise in corridors took away from the experience slightly. That said - overall happy!
Mar 27, 2025 · Abi FarrellI have some mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is absolutely amazing and the price we got was great for the size of the room. However, they really need to work on cleanliness in this hotel. When we checked in the room was so dusty and it was obviously not cleaned properly from the previous guests. When I emailed them about this, they said they will see to it, however they never did. So I emailed again and they just ignored it altogether. The hotel really needs more lifts as we had to climb 8 flights of stairs several times in order to get to our room because there are only TWO lifts. Also, they need to deal with large groups way better as there were a lot of school children shouting downstairs and gathering in massive groups being rude to other guests. This must be managed better. Overall I would recommend this hotel however they need to clean the rooms way better and actually respond to guest concerns.
Mar 24, 2025 · VeeDecent rooms at a prime location, but not really a 4-star hotel. The lobby is nice, though the rooms can be better. It is a 10-20 min walk to most destinations and there is a subway at the end of the block. The front desk had offered a paid room upgrade in lieu of the destination fee, but the room given was the same one I had already booked. I had called weeks an advance for a special birthday arrangement yet nothing was done. There is heating/ac in the unit as well as an electric fan, but we found the unit to be very loud and slightly dusty, triggering my allergies. The cleanliness can be improved—the bedding was fine, though the bathroom curtains had smelled a bit like mildew upon arriving. We also found that half of our towels had holes in them—though housekeeping was quick to replace them. The toiletries were very basic, only one bar of soap/lotion for a group of 4. (They were irritating to the skin anyway) Also there is no refrigerator in the room, but is available upon request. As for the elevators, they were working completely fine (week of 12/2) so we didn’t have trouble getting to our room as others have mentioned. Also our $500 deposit was quickly refunded as we asked the front desk prior to leaving. Overall our stay was okay, but could’ve went better if the staff was nicer/more accommodating and there was more attention to detail with cleaning.
