The place was nice, I would stay there again, but they need to get a better quality of towels & provide more than just one per person. The shower curtain should be washed more frequently. The location was good, it is close to family attractions and dining. We stayed in one of the newly renovated cottages, nice place.

Beacon Resort Introduce

For those searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Lincoln, New Hampshire area, Beacon Resort offers a practical and conveniently located lodging option. Situated at 557 US-3, Lincoln, NH 03251, USA, and accessible by phone at (603) 745-8118, the Beacon Resort aims to provide a comfortable base for exploring the myriad attractions of the White Mountains, focusing on affordability and accessibility rather than high-end luxury. It’s important for potential guests to align their expectations with the resort's value proposition, as some customer reviews highlight a more no-frills approach to certain aspects of the stay.

The environment surrounding Beacon Resort is a significant advantage. Located directly on US-3, it offers excellent access to the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the White Mountains. Guests are just a short drive from major attractions such as Loon Mountain, the Flume Gorge, Clark's Bears, and the popular Ice Castles in winter. The resort's setting is nestled amidst the scenic landscape, providing a pleasant backdrop for a vacation focused on outdoor adventure and family fun. Its proximity to dining establishments and other essential services in Lincoln further enhances the convenience for visitors, reducing the need for extensive travel once at the destination.

In terms of services, Beacon Resort provides the fundamental offerings expected of a motel-style resort. The staff aims to be accommodating, though interactions can vary, as indicated by a review that mentioned an abrupt tone regarding hotel policies. Daily housekeeping is typically provided, and the resort offers amenities such as free Wi-Fi, which is crucial for modern travelers. One reviewer noted an issue with the quantity and quality of towels, and the type of toiletries provided, suggesting that guests might consider bringing their own preferred items. However, the resort does offer an on-site restaurant and gift shop, adding to the convenience for guests who prefer to dine and shop without leaving the property.

The features of Beacon Resort are designed to cater to families and travelers looking for practical amenities. The resort offers both traditional hotel rooms and newly renovated cottages, which are a popular choice among guests seeking a more updated experience. These cottages provide a pleasant and comfortable stay, as noted by a satisfied customer. The resort boasts both indoor and outdoor heated pools, providing recreational opportunities regardless of the weather, along with a jacuzzi and saunas. These water features are a definite draw, particularly after a day of exploring the area's activities or hitting the ski slopes. A game room and children's playground are also available, emphasizing the resort's family-friendly appeal.

For dining, Beacon Resort is home to Dad's Restaurant, which offers on-site meals, and a lounge area for relaxation. This provides a convenient option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner without needing to leave the premises. The location on US-3 also means that a variety of other local dining establishments are within easy reach, offering guests diverse culinary choices just a short walk or drive away.

However, it is important to provide an objective overview, and some customer feedback points to areas where the resort might fall short of expectations, particularly for those accustomed to higher-tier resorts. Several reviews specifically highlight concerns regarding the comfort of beds, with descriptions of old and uncomfortable mattresses that sagged in the middle. This is a critical aspect of any hotel stay, and for some, it significantly impacted their experience. Similarly, the provision of a bulk industrial hand soap dispenser in the shower in place of individual toiletries was a point of contention for at least one guest, indicating a focus on cost-efficiency that might detract from guest comfort.

While the renovated cottages generally receive positive comments, some rooms, particularly those in the "West Wing" according to one review, may suffer from strong odors and outdated amenities. The quality of towels and the frequency of shower curtain washing were also noted as areas for improvement. These details suggest that while some parts of the resort have seen updates, consistency across all room types might vary.

Promotional information for Beacon Resort often emphasizes its affordability and excellent location. It positions itself as a practical base for exploring the White Mountains, appealing to guests who prioritize proximity to attractions over luxury services. The resort is family-owned and operated, and some of its long-standing staff are noted for their dedication. Packages and deals might be offered through various booking platforms, though specific current promotions would need to be checked at the time of booking. The resort's appeal lies in its straightforward approach to hospitality: providing a clean, accessible, and activity-adjacent stay at a competitive price. Guests often highlight the value received for the price, especially if they are primarily seeking a place to sleep and enjoy the local attractions. The resort's history, having been a staple in the area for decades, also contributes to its local charm and familiarity.

In conclusion, Beacon Resort, when considered within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, serves as a functional and budget-friendly option for visitors to Lincoln, NH. Its key strengths lie in its superb location near major White Mountains attractions, its family-friendly amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, and the convenience of on-site dining. While some aspects of guest comfort and room quality may vary, especially in older sections, the resort's renovated cottages offer a more updated experience. For travelers who prioritize location, value, and access to the region's recreational offerings, Beacon Resort provides a practical and enjoyable base for their New Hampshire adventure.

I really wanted to give two stars but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that not all of their rooms are as bad as the one I stayed in. At check-in our host pointed out a $200 fine for smoking in the rooms, I told her we (my girlfriend and I) don't smoke. But she still mentioned it another two times before we left, adding "when you get caught, don't come crying to me about it." Maybe she thought we were some ruffians coming to break some rules since we arrived on a motorcycle and dressed in leather. The room we were given in the West Wing was very clean but had a very strong odour that I can't find words for but if I could, they would not be nice ones. The worst part of the room by far was the beds. I would not be surprised if someone told me these mattresses had not be changed in 30 years. They were terrible, they sunk in to the middle and to the center and were very uncomfortable. It's a hotel. Your whole business revolves around providing people a comfortable place to sleep. The least you could do is spend a little money on mattresses once a decade so your customers don't have to sleep in a bed that transforms into a hammock the minute you lay down. The shower was another bit of evidence that this hotel hates spending any money on guest comfort. In lieu of small shampoo/conditioner bottles was a large Kimberly-Clark industrial hand-soap dispenser mounted in the shower. Yes, the kind you find in public bathrooms. Not only is it odd-looking but it's completely useless for washing your hair or your body. We had to go out and buy our own toiletries. Again, I'm not sure if all of the rooms are like this or if the only gave these to the groupon customers. But at a regular rate of $130/night for a West Wing room, I would definitely not come back. No way, no how, not when I can pay Holiday Inn $120 for a bigger, nicer-smelling room with a new TV, better beds and toiletries. All-in-all it's not a bad hotel. The location is great. Very close to all the awesome stuff the White Mountains have to offer. But they need to get new beds. If I stayed any longer, I would have sent them a bill for my chiropractor.

Everything! Free wifi did not work at all. We changed rooms due to a horrific smell. The room we changed to smelled like fresh paint which was better, but the room was supposedly renovated. The bathroom door was all beat up on the bottom , the trim of door was half painted, and the curtains were stained and falling off the rod. The room had to door entrances one to outside and one to the inside pool, the promblem with this is that the door to the pool gets locked at a certain time when the pool closes so we can't get out that way, I'm not sure that could be a fire hazard. we spent one night was suppose to stay 2, we were not comfortable at all. This is not a resort or a hotel this is a overpriced motel. would not recommend this place to anyone.

All the basics with a nice pool setup for certain rooms. Mountain views for some rooms, nice pool setup for others, river across the road. Clean rooms that dont feel sketchy. Best value around.
