Total stars: 4.8 (giving 5 because I round up) After reading negative reviews, I was definitely curious how our visit would turn out.. I think people expect too much for the price this place charges. This is not the Ritz Carlton, nor does the resort ever advertise as such. It’s a nice place to soak and get an average room! That’s what it is! We arrived at Indian Head Resort after a day of skiing. The views are beautiful all around the facilities. We absolutely loved soaking outside in the hot tub. The views and vibes are nice and peaceful. Lots of kids but it totally is fine! My partner and I seriously had the best time. We were so happy like children. Yes, there is a lot of chlorine. We were in the tub for a few hours and by the end, my eyes and skin started getting a bit enflamed but it was kinda funny—not some disaster like others are painting it. People just get pissed if anything doesn’t go exactly how they want, and trust me, you want that chlorine in there. Also, the hotel could improve the changing room. There’s no where to set or store items. But again, it didn’t make me have a bad time!! We had the freaking best time and will 100% be back. Good value. Awesome soaking! Yay!

Mar 30, 2025 · Natalie PI should begin with, if you expect a resort quality stay, DO NOT stay here. The location is close to Loon mountain and the Ice Castles but the quality of stay for the amount you pay is sub par. The rooms are low quality, mold in the bathroom, peeling wall paper, dust which has a terrible effect w those who has allergies, the resorts adjacent accommodation requires you to drive to the main location to access all the amenities. Leading to those… while the outdoor heated pool and hot tub are nice, the amount of chlorine in them took my swim suit from royal blue to almost white within 2 visits. I guess that could be a plus considering the amount of children in these. Breakfast buffet was good but shockingly not included and priced at nearly $20/person. The shuttle service… tells you it’s worth it to avoid parking issues at the attractions. However, the wait for the shuttle service was over twice as long as told and the shuttle windshield wipers were broken, it was precipitating and he was on and off his cell phone while operating the shuttle. I was looking forward to a nice weekend away w my daughter and if we ever come to this area again, we will certainly NOT BE STAYING here. There are much nicer, actual resorts closer to Loon and more centrally located.
Feb 17, 2025 · jennifer territoWe were disappointed with our stay at Indian Head Resort. I had higher expectations given the word "resort" in the title and the photos on the website. On the plus side: - It is close to the sights we wanted to see (Ice Castles, Loon). - The restaurant was convenient, and the food was good. We enjoyed the entertainment by Carroll Brown (aka Solitary Man). - The Greenery room was a nice bonus room for hanging out in. - The "fireplace" in the room was great. On the negatives: - We had to go outside to get from our room to the lobby, pool, and restaurant. When it's freezing out, this is not pleasant. - Every time we turned on the bath, the water was brown for a few seconds. - The hot water from the tap became scalding, which is concerning when you have children. - We could hear people walking around above our room at night. - The wait to be served at dinner was long. - Checking in took awhile. We also had a very bad experience at the pool. When we turned on the bubbles in the hot tub, our children complained that it was hard to breathe and my daughter's eyes turned red. Soon, every kid in the room (at least 10) was coughing. Some were gagging. Our guess is that when we turned on the bubbles, chlorine got kicked up in the air, and we were exposed to high levels of it. We communicated this to the staff at the front desk, and were told that others complained as well and that the water was tested, but was in normal range. There is no question, however, that we experienced something frightening and abnormal.
Feb 23, 2025 · Jill SchererI should have read the reviews. I decided to book without doing my research because a dear friend said the psychic weekend was a blast. If you expect resort quality THIS IS NOT IT. Our room smells awful of mildew and old stagnant smoke. The screen door was bent and ripped. The pillows on the bed were throw pillows in pillow cases. The tub sounded like it was going to shatter into a million pieces when you stepped into it. The toilet was literally sitting on and angle and you slid into the cabinet when you sat down. Tried to watch tv with the fireplace on and it blew the power cord so many times my damn phone didn’t even charge. The food a joke if your going to have a weekend of a lot of people have enough food and seating so we are not on top of each other. So slow with the coming out of food you feel guilty taking any because of the amount of people waiting. They certainly couldn’t keep up with demand. And the so called card readers and psychics no not one of them was good. We spent 700 on two nights and we got the Friday at 5 and left Saturday at 6am complete waste of my money and time. Never again
May 11, 2025 · Carissa JonesWe went here for the 16th annual "The Mystery in The Mountains Dead Again" murder mystery tour. Indian Head resort hosted it being the central location starting point. The resort appears to be very clean and well kept. We didn't stay here. We were here for the murder mystery, so I can't comment on the rooms. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. They all had big smiles and seemed to be happy being there. We had lunch and it was just a buffet. The food was good and plenty of it. I would recommend coming to Indian Head resort and have some fun.
