As a local resident with a long history in this area, I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions when it was under the previous ownership. My experiences were always satisfactory, with clean, well-maintained rooms and a courteous, helpful staff. Unfortunately, the new owners seem to prioritize financial gain above all else. I made a reservation for a two-night stay with my one-year-old daughter, booking online and selecting the pay-upon-arrival option, with a scheduled arrival time of around 9pm. Beginning at 8pm, I received calls from the front desk indicating that my card was being declined and that I would be unable to stay without sufficient funds. I explained that my card remains locked for security purposes and that, having chosen to pay upon arrival, I should not be incurring any charges until check-in. The staff member told me she needed an alternative card, but after some discussion ultimately allowed me to proceed with paying upon arrival as originally planned. When I arrived and checked into my room, I was greeted by a strong, unpleasant odor. The room had a musty smell, indicating that it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time. The accommodations were also clearly outdated. Additionally, the room's design raised concerns about privacy, as individuals walking by could easily look in and see my daughter and me, unless we kept the curtains closed throughout the day. I found this particularly troublesome, as I value natural light. To make matters worse I found crumbs in my bed before even using it. While striving to remain optimistic, I decided to disregard the minor inconveniences during my stay, despite the challenges of caring for a one-year-old who was feeling cranky and tired. So we just went to sleep. Unfortunately, my morning began with a disturbing discovery - a roach on the hand towel in the bathroom. I quickly disposed of the pest in the toilet. In an effort to learn from the experience, I took it as a sign to avoid staying at this hotel in the future. I shortly left the hotel after that incident. After spending the day out, I returned to the hotel expecting to find my room cleaned and the trash cans emptied, as per the hotel's advertised services. Regrettably, I found the room in the same state as I had left it, which raises concerns about the hotel's dedication to providing the services they claim to offer. It is likely that the hotel's lack of attention to cleanliness contributes to the presence of pests. I considered spending time with my daughter at the pool or playground, but unfortunately, the playground was extremely dirty and partially inaccessible due to furniture blocking the area. The pool, advertised as warm, was cold and dirty, resembling an abandoned facility. The pool room, separate from the hotel, lacked towels, changing rooms, and sauna access, forcing guests to walk outside in the cold after swimming. This is a significant decline from the hotel's previous standards, which included well-stocked towels, accessible lockers, and sauna facilities. This place has gone so downhill! In conclusion, I would like to bring attention to the unacceptable behavior of the front desk lady. Her demeanor and tone suggested that she was dissatisfied with her job and took her frustration out on guests. During my visit to the pool area with my family, we were informed about the hotel's policy regarding outside visitors. While I understood and respected the policy, the front desk lady's approach was overly aggressive. She yelled and demanded information, causing my nieces and daughter to become frightened. I believe it is essential to communicate hotel policies in a clear, respectful, and professional manner. The front desk lady's behavior fell short of these expectations, and I hope that the hotel will take necessary steps to address this issue. Do better! This lady should not be the one greeting/or even handling guests for that matter. She should be cleaning these nasty rooms with her nasty attitude!

Its location on US-3 provides easy access to nearby attractions. The hotel's exterior and overall design suggest a more traditional motel style, with rooms potentially offering direct outdoor access. While the hotel aims to provide basic comfort, some guests have noted that the accommodations appear somewhat outdated. The general environment is described as being in the mountains, offering a retreat-like feel, although privacy can be a concern in ground-floor rooms due to direct views from walkways, which might necessitate keeping curtains closed. Parking is generally available and free for guests.

Services and Amenities:

Travelodge by Wyndham Lincoln Near White Mountain advertises a range of services and amenities designed to cater to its guests. A key offering is the complimentary self-serve breakfast, though the variety of options can be limited to items like bagels and cereal. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub, intended for guest relaxation and recreation. However, it's important to note that guest reviews frequently mention issues with these facilities; specifically, the indoor pool has been described as cold and dirty, resembling an abandoned facility, lacking towels, and requiring guests to walk outside to their rooms for changing. The hot tub has also been reported as not working properly by some guests. For families, the hotel includes a children's play area, though this has also received feedback about being dirty and partially inaccessible due to furniture. Other amenities include free in-room Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, air conditioning, microwaves in rooms, and private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Daily housekeeping is advertised, but there have been reports of rooms not being cleaned or trash cans not being emptied, even after guests leave for the day. Features and Distinguishing Aspects:

The hotel allows children 14 years and younger to stay free when using existing bedding, making it potentially attractive for families. While the hotel does not permit pets, it does offer non-smoking rooms and heating in the rooms. However, the functionality of the heating system has been called into question by several guests, with rooms reportedly remaining cold even in winter, and in some cases, the phone to the front desk not working.

Promotional Information and Guest Feedback:

The hotel is positioned as an affordable choice for visitors to the White Mountains. Promotional materials highlight its proximity to attractions and key amenities. However, objective analysis requires incorporating significant guest feedback, which indicates a wide range of experiences, from satisfactory to highly negative. While some guests have had positive experiences, noting clean rooms and helpful staff, especially under previous ownership, a substantial number of recent reviews highlight significant concerns under new management.

Common complaints include a strong, unpleasant, musty odor in rooms, suggesting a lack of thorough cleaning. Guests have reported finding crumbs in beds before use and even pests like roaches in bathrooms. Issues with room maintenance are frequently cited, including broken TVs, non-functional heaters in winter, non-working phones, and a lack of hot water in showers. When these issues are reported, guests have encountered unhelpful or dismissive front desk staff, with instances of rude and aggressive behavior being particularly alarming. Concerns about privacy in ground-floor rooms due to direct outdoor views have also been raised. The condition of recreational facilities, particularly the pool and playground, has been a major point of dissatisfaction, with both described as dirty, cold (for the pool), and poorly maintained. The absence of basic amenities like towels and changing rooms at the pool area has also been noted as a significant decline from previous standards.

In conclusion, Travelodge by Wyndham Lincoln Near White Mountain aims to provide basic lodging for visitors to the White Mountains. While its location is undeniably convenient for accessing area attractions and it offers some expected amenities like complimentary breakfast and an indoor pool, recent guest reviews indicate considerable challenges regarding cleanliness, room maintenance, and customer service. Potential guests exploring "Hotels Near Of Me" should consider these varied experiences and manage their expectations accordingly, especially regarding the current state of facilities and service quality.

Absolutely the worst experience. The rooms were filthy with other people's hair and hair ties and accessories left all over the room. The TV was broken when we reported it they kind of laughed it off. The heater never got hot and it was the middle of winter we were frozen all night. The phone in the room that's supposed to connect you to the front desk didn't work when we walked down and told them that they laughed and said everyone has cell phones don't worry about it and when I asked what we were supposed to do if there was an emergency they said use your cell phone. There was no hot water in our bathroom shower. When we reported this they waited until midnight to offer us the access to a shower in a separate room so we would have to walk in the colds back and forth between rooms. When we asked for a discount because the rooms were not what we expected they were not clean they were not heated properly and they did not have access to a phone system to call the front desk and they did not have a working shower we were told we could get a hour later checkout time as a solution even though we needed to check out 3 hours before the checkout time

The most cold and rude welcoming to an establishment I have ever experienced. Woman working the front desk made multiple rude comments after she gave us two faulty key cards. When we asked for new key cards to enter our room she threatened to fine us if we “did it again”. There was also hair in the shower, stains on the sheets, and the room had a bad odor. Don’t come here it sucks.

We booked one room last weekend and three rooms this weekend. Clean rooms, warm rooms, location is key, not too far from Ski Resorts and summer fun. Staff were really friendly and Professional. The hot tub was really hot and clean.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I totally would. The lack of empathy and training from Rina at the front desk is utterly disgusting. My husband booked our night via Priceline and it auto populated to 2 guests. We booked for a 2 queen bedroom would be able to sleep 4 people comfortably. Upon check in he was asked how many adults and he said 3. It was me, himself and my mom along with our 6 year old daughter. Rudely she informs my husband that she needs to charge an additional 25$ fee for an extra adult. Say what? That’s crazy. I can see if there were 4 or more adults to charge that due to fire hazards etc we called Wyndham corporate office to ask about the policy behind this and they basically told us that this property is a franchise property and that they can make any rule that they want about their property. Now my husband is of course upset as we traveled to this part of NH with a strict budget. We get into a room now myself as a manger of hotels for the past 14 years of my past life I know what I’m looking for in the rooms hence bed bugs… while looking my daughter opened the drawers to the nightstand and found drug paraphernalia. I immediately put it in the coffee cup in the room and brought it to Rina at the front desk. Now I’m extra upset at this point not once did she let me talk. Over talked me and tried to argue with me not even apologized. Then I asked about the $25 charge and I asked to see their policy behind this in black and white writing she proceeds to pull out a stack of registration cards and starts showing me other peoples information ie room numbers names etc and saying she had to do uncharged to them as well. Other guests are not my issue and to be showing me that kind of information is quite crazy to me, what if I was a stalker… kind of made me feel really unsafe at that point. I asked Rina if she was alone as I’d like to discuss this matter with a manger as she became very argumentative with me about the whole situation. She informed me she was alone and that the manager would not be able to speak with me until next Thursday…. We will be home by then.. I asked for the managers name and contact information ie email address and she informed me that she doesn’t have that information available and was only able to give me the managers name. Now Dakota the “manager” if you’re reading this I’d accept you to reach out to my husband immediately in regards to this matter as I have gave Rina his email address and phone number. All we want is the $25 back on his card and we will never ever stay here again. Oh and also the rooms are very outdated and the equipment in the room is broken. The room you can tell was not inspected after a cleaning. Again another training point with the housekeepers… now I can see why this hotel was the cheapest and only rated 2.8 stars please do better what a disgrace of a stay this was
