Casamia 36 Hotel

A totally serviceable hotel for a short stay in New York. The location was very convenient. The staff did their best to meet all our needs with the resources available to them. Website said there would be a safe, but that was not the case. They did offer to hold our passports for us, though that was not the ideal solution. Room was thick with the smell of bleach for the first couple days. At least smelled clean, but it was honestly quite abrasive until it finally aired out. Also, no screen in the window so hard to expedite the air-out process. All in all, met our immediate needs with no frills. But a few more frills might have been nice.

Vlad at the front desk was amazing! He was extremely friendly and very helpful. He made me feel welcome and was a great 1st impression! They have a breakfast with coffee and bagels and croissants that were delicious. The rooms are a decent size. Very clean and the beds are so comfortable. They use a code for the front door to get into the building which I lived. It’s in 10th Avenue so it is close to midtown but on the quieter side. I’d recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing time here. Customer service was beyond exceptional! I also liked that you can check-in anytime. The location is also great in Manhattan. My only issue was that the towels, bedsheets and bed covers were not that clean but I enjoyed my stay regardless. I'd definitely go back there if am in New York again 🤗

We came for a birthday girl trip for 4 days and it was great. The staff is amazing. We came in early in the morning and wanted to get our day started,Vladimir was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early, he was very kind and helpful the whole time. The rest staff was very helpful and nice as well. We had a king room which was perfect for two people. They have a free breakfast, which we didn't partake in but, it's nice that they offer it. They have a cozy chill spot/smoking area in front of the hotel with pretty flowers and trees and a locked code gate so you feel safe at all hours the hotel door also has a code to enter. There is a 24hr gas station with a dunkin donuts steps away which was great for snack and drinks runs. The location is actually pretty quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but, close enough to easily walk to parks and attractions. If you don't want to walk everywhere, Uber came within 2 minutes of ordering and there is low traffic on that road so you didn't feel rushed to get in, which was great when loading and unloading luggage. We had a late flight out Monday night and the hotel allowed us to store our bags there until our flight. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Thank you Vladimir and the rest of the staff for making our 4 days enjoyable.

Though my review is a little bit late cause I visited this hotel in the end of October, still I hope it will be useful! We stayed here just for 3 nights and we liked this place! What we liked: 1- location, 2- warm and clean, 3 - friendly and helpful personnel, 4- they have breakfasts (croissants, coffee, juices, cream cheese, cereals, fruits, butter and jam) not too much, but enough to start your day, no problem with hot/cold water, 5 - no bugs. we lived on the 10th floor, it was a nice view, no problems with elevators. We were ‘hiking’ in New York almost the whole time so we needed just a clean, warm place to sleep and it was the best place for this purpose. Yes the rooms are not big, but more than enough if you don’t plan to live there. Yes there is a little park with scary homeless people, but they don’t bite and they actually don’t care about you, so just pass by these 5 meters. If you came to see New York not to sleep inside a hotel room all the time, this place is perfect. Subway is close, Times Square and Vessel are 5-10 min walk. The quality of the hotel is worth it’s price. I recommend.
