We just went for a visit , first time tour of NYC . Room was cozy, just big enough for a couple. Clean and tidy, small fridge and closet space. We’re from WNC and it worked great for us!! Staff were nice and very helpful!! They stored our luggage prior and after departure for a $10 charge. Shower was hot and clean! All around a reasonable price and excellent location!

Oct 25, 2024 · Crystal NorvilleOnly the location is good The room was very small and not cleaned, the floor and the bathroom were dirty. Housekeeping doesn't come during your stay. And the breakfast is just dry bread and coffee. $20 a day for bagagerie. Basically the review you see are true. I wasn't going to leave a review because for the price in NYC you get what you get. But the day we left we realised we left a souvenir bag with food in it and immediately emailed the property to come and pick it up. We sent a couple of emails, no reply. After being on the phone with them 7 times, they told us the housekeeping thought it was for them and they ate it, they didn't understand why we kept calling. The staff barely speaks English except "what do you want ! we don't have it!" "you listen to me now', instead of finding a solution. Doesn't seem to understand the problem... Not to mention the bag was open so very unhygienic for the housekeeping to eat something opened from a customer...
Dec 03, 2024 · Alexandre PhilionDespite all of the negative reviews, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. We had a short trip to NY and everything was booked so we had to stay here. We arrived super early and got an early check-in (huge bonusł). The room was small (as expected) but very clean! I mean, the walls had lots of marks on them but mostly scuffs, not stains. The shower felt amazing, the air conditioner worked wonderfully, the beds were comfortable, the microwave and fridge worked great. The staff was also very pleasant. My husband wanted to watch the football game and was able to choose from a few bars very close by (walking distance) as well as pick up a vegan meal on his way back.
Sep 10, 2024 · Linda Ligons-WestWell, first of all, there is the entry. Watch the last step down, it's deceptive. Once inside, you realize that this is place is very basic. The reception desk is very small. Next, don't even ask where the restaurant is that is mentioned... there isn't one...our lobby attendant told us it was just outside... what he meant was, go find a restaurant, we have nothing to offer here. Once we waited 10 minutes to get into the rickety elevator, we got to our 5th floor hole, literally next to the elevator. The view was of a construction site, and the 2 full beds, clean I will admit, left only a shoe's spacing between them. The walls and ceiling all had peeling paint, and questionable black spots. The icing on this $500+ room was that our motion sensor operated lighting was malfunctioning and would turn on anytime either of us rolled over in our bed. We called the front desk. The hotel clerk, also the maintenance worker, brought up tape and material to attempt to cover the light.. it didn't work. Still not sold? There is a lovely breakfast awaiting you...a loaf of bread and a toaster... don't go rummaging for creamer for the coffee though.... you will be met by the other employee, clerk, chef, and bodyguard, who questioned the idea of opening drawers to refill creamer packets. There were no bugs and the location was very convenient to 9th street, but that is about all this property has going for it. We definitely will not return.
Dec 06, 2024 · Scott TarzwellThe hotel is with an amazing location near everything that is worth seeing in Manhattan. The room though is miserably maintained, housekeeping doesn’t change the sheets of the beds and doesn’t provide you with new towels and toiletries on a daily basis. The staff at the front desk is insanely rude and impolite, giving false information about the luggage storage provided and charging the guests charges that are not previously and officially disclosed. Overall an awful experience lacking communication let alone customer service or hospitality. These two don’t exist in the vocabulary of the people hired to maintain the establishment.
