HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My booking was cancelled the day before via text message. Seems to happen to a lot of people. I would not recommend taking the chance with this property. Haven't been to the property but believe me. It's not worth the hassle. hey don't answer the phones and you won't get your money back.
As Maryland locals, we understand the diverse needs when it comes to accommodation, whether for visiting family, a staycation to explore our own vibrant city, or a convenient spot for business trips. Today, we're taking a close look at Chase Apartments at Light Street - Baltimore Inner Harbor & Convention Center. This property positions itself as a furnished apartment option rather than a traditional hotel, designed to offer a more home-like experience in the heart of Baltimore. It's crucial for us, as residents of Maryland, to have a clear and factual understanding of such places, especially when considering them for ourselves or recommending them to others.
Chase Apartments at Light Street aims to provide a comfortable and independent living experience for guests, often featuring amenities you'd find in a typical home. Situated in a prime downtown location, it appeals to those who prefer the flexibility and space of an apartment over a standard hotel room. However, it's also important to acknowledge that the nature of apartment rentals can sometimes differ significantly from hotel operations, particularly in terms of on-site service and immediate resolution of issues. This article will break down what you can expect from Chase Apartments, based on publicly available information and customer feedback, helping you make an informed decision for your next Baltimore stay.
The location of Chase Apartments at Light Street is undeniably one of its most compelling attributes. This means unparalleled access to some of the city's most beloved attractions and key business hubs. Guests are just a short walk from the Baltimore Convention Center, making it an incredibly practical choice for those attending conferences or events.
Beyond business, the leisure opportunities are vast. For those arriving by air, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is approximately 9.3 miles away, with airport shuttle services potentially available (often for a surcharge), offering reasonable accessibility.
Despite the highly desirable location, it's worth noting the importance of understanding the operational differences between an apartment rental and a hotel, especially concerning immediate access and on-site support. While the address places you in the thick of the city's action, the experience of checking in and receiving immediate assistance might vary compared to a traditional hotel with a constant front desk presence.

Jan 17, 2025 · Phoenix CamelDo not book this property. I booked in advance. The day before my booking (10/24/24), after numerous attempts to contact the property for check-in instructions, I received a text message saying the room had been double-booked and was no longer available. The property has not refunded my $587 booking. I have made numerous attempts for a request but nearly 3 months later, I still have not received a refund.
Jan 17, 2025 · Amber HarroldSCAM! We booked months in advance and sent two emails prior , saying "Hi" we're excited to stay and a question about parking. I could tell that the host read them, but did not respond. Like all the others, two days prior to departing, they sent a message suggested a different location. I told them we did not want to move to a different location (due to prior reviews of the places they sent people to). He never sent another message or canceled my stay. I worked directly with AirBnB to receive a credit for my stay, since the host does not communicate. A side note, this is right in the middle of Preakness and multiple Conventions in town.Finding a new place to stay was extremely difficult and costly. I would love to believe that the only message the host sent was true, but due to all the poor communication and reviews.... I think its a lie. Here's what he sent (just in case you receive the same message): "Emily we have a medical family staying at that unit and unfortunately they needed to extend their treatment in Hopkins and the unit now won’t be available for the dates requested. I sent you an alternate option for your consideration Ty"
May 21, 2024 · Emily Pajak-StengerThis company is bogus. Charged my husbands business account for a reservation in March. In between the booking and the actual reservation , his wallet was stolen. He received a notification to update his card information even though they were paid and were attempting to process they payment again. They cancelled his reservation which was for a business convention and they refused to work with him or even have the courtesy to speak to him. They blame Sprint for their lack of phone service. You will likely be scammed if you book.
Apr 19, 2023 · Jenna StableyScam! I rented the penthouse apartment at 25 Street Light, it was mysteriously unavailable and they took us to 1 East Lexington Street. The bathroom in the apartment didn't work and they moved us to another one, which we later discovered was dirty and full of bedbugs!! We had to find another hotel and they don't want to refund our money.
