I had a terrible experience at this hotel due to the ignorance of the employees. I traveled with a service dog, and they charged me a $150 cleaning fee without any prior notice. When I called to inquire about the charge, I was told that even if the dog hadn't caused any mess, they still had to charge extra for cleaning. I contacted corporate about the situation, and they filed a claim against the hotel and refunded the fee. Additionally, the housekeeping manager was rude and disrespectful. The general manager appeared unaware of the ADA regulations and Marriott’s policies regarding service dogs. Overall, the employees were very disrespectful. I showed them my medical evidence and certificates, which I am not legally required to present, yet they still insisted on referring to my dog as an emotional support animal. It was an awful experience.

Feb 26, 2025 · Marielena AlfonsecaDecent hotel overall, but there are a few things they could improve upon, for starters, the bed. It was very firm, yet lumpy, a bad combination, and the shower floor was quite slippery once it was wet. Add to that, the room had a very strange odor, and I never quite figured out where it was coming from.
Jan 11, 2025 · Constance KennedyFirst off, I exclusively stay at Marriott and normally when visiting New Orleans, I stay near the quarter. This time however I decided on a quieter location outside the city. On the first day I noticed small cockroaches in the room. I alerted the front desk and was told they would take care of it. The next morning after waking up, I again noticed cockroaches in the room. I attempted to contact Marriott customer service and have not had any replies or correspondence since then.
Feb 26, 2025 · James Van PeltEnjoyed my 2 weeks stay for business. Rooms were nice and clean despite minor damages (missing lampshade and fridge shelf). Gym equipment was all functional. Toast Gretna was an amazing breakfast within walking distance, but not super walkable otherwise; prepare to cross the bridge. My allergies offer a million thanks for being pet-free. There should be dedicated hotel chains for people who don't want to board their animals, and dedicated chains for those who want to be away from noise, fur, and dander. Please don't change Courtyard, many of us appreciate these policies.
Nov 26, 2024 · Jude SwansigerClean, nice rooms and facility. Gym was limited but decent. I was able to get my basic workout in without issue. I did have some issues with the wifi that nobody seemed to be able to fix, but I had decent phone service so I just used my phone service to watch Netflix while I was there. Kind of awkward getting to for out of towners, but once you figured it out it wasn't too bad.
