I was truly disappointed when they would not honor my free night & points as I was told when I made the reservation. They were also doing construction on the floor above & we heard drills before 9am. My family & I were dismayed since we have been staying at this Marriott for years & have always had a wonderful experience. We will be staying at a different Long Island Marriott location from now on since we have loved all of the other places we have visited & stayed at such as the Marriott Marquis in Times Square & the Grand Adirondack Hotel in Lake Placid.

Environment:
The Courtyard Republic Airport Long Island/Farmingdale is situated within the Marriott Plaza, often implying a well-organized and accessible commercial setting. Its close proximity to Republic Airport means convenience for air travelers, though it's important for guests to consider potential aircraft noise, depending on individual sensitivity. Farmingdale itself is a suburban town in Long Island, offering a mix of local attractions and business centers. The hotel's location offers easy access to major Long Island thoroughfares, facilitating exploration of the surrounding area. Nearby popular destinations include Adventureland, Bethpage State Park & the world-renowned Black Course, Long Island's beautiful Robert Moses & Jones Beaches, as well as various concert and sport venues. The hotel also features an outdoor patio and firepit, offering a space for guests to relax outdoors, which is a desirable environmental feature. While specific details on the surrounding landscape are not always highlighted, Courtyard properties typically maintain a professional and welcoming exterior designed to appeal to both business and leisure guests. One specific guest review mentioned "Not enough parking," which suggests that during peak times, parking availability might be a concern, impacting the overall convenience of the environment.
Services:
Courtyard by Marriott hotels are known for offering a range of services aimed at enhancing both productivity and relaxation. Complimentary Wi-Fi is a standard offering, ensuring guests can stay connected for work or leisure. The hotel typically features a Bistro, which serves breakfast and dinner, offering a convenient on-site dining option and specialty beverages made with Starbucks coffee. This is particularly beneficial for guests who prefer to dine within the hotel premises. Reviews and public information indicate services such as a 24-hour fitness center, allowing guests to maintain their workout routines. The hotel also provides a 24-hour business center and meeting rooms, catering to business travelers and events. Additional services often include laundry facilities, dry cleaning services, and a 24-hour reception desk, providing assistance around the clock. Guest reviews, while highlighting some significant issues, also mention "friendly staff at check in" and pleasant and professional staff, suggesting that basic customer service interactions are generally positive. However, a crucial service-related disappointment mentioned by a customer was the hotel's refusal to honor a "free night & points" reservation, indicating potential issues with reservation management or customer loyalty program adherence, which can significantly impact guest satisfaction. It is always recommended to confirm all aspects of loyalty program redemptions directly with the hotel prior to arrival.
Features:
The Courtyard Republic Airport Long Island/Farmingdale typically features well-appointed guest rooms designed for comfort and functionality. Common room amenities often include plush bedding, a spacious work desk with an ergonomic chair, a flat-screen TV (some with SMART TV capabilities and Netflix access), mini-fridges, and coffee makers. Soundproofing is also listed as a room feature, which is particularly important given its proximity to the airport, though real-world effectiveness can vary as one guest mentioned hearing "drills before 9 am" from construction on an upper floor. The hotel features 131 rooms, indicating a substantial capacity. Public areas often include a modern lobby with flexible spaces for working or socializing, a lobby bar and lounge, and sometimes an indoor pool, though one review explicitly stated "No pool," which contradicts some general amenity listings. Therefore, guests should verify pool availability if it's a critical amenity for their stay. A significant concern raised by a customer about the features was the presence of "visible mold on the ceiling and around the bathtub given missing caulk around the shower and absolutely no air flow" in their bathroom. This points to potential maintenance and cleanliness issues within guest rooms, which directly impacts the comfort and health of guests. Furthermore, the construction noise mentioned by a long-time guest is a temporary but impactful feature during renovation periods, potentially disrupting peace and quiet. The hotel explicitly states it is undergoing a full renovation of rooms and lobby, which, while causing temporary inconvenience, suggests an aim to improve the overall features and guest experience in the long term.
Promotional Information:
Courtyard by Marriott often promotes its hotels as ideal for both business and leisure travelers, leveraging the reliable Marriott brand. For "Hotels Near Of Me" searches, the Courtyard Republic Airport Long Island/Farmingdale likely highlights its strategic location near Republic Airport and convenient access to Long Island attractions like Adventureland and nearby beaches. The hotel's Bistro, offering breakfast and dinner, is a key promotional point, emphasizing convenience and quality dining options. Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program benefits are also a significant draw, allowing members to earn and redeem points for stays, though the guest review regarding a free night redemption issue serves as a cautionary note for potential members. The ongoing renovations are also a form of promotional information, indicating future improvements and an enhanced guest experience. However, this also carries the implicit message of potential disruption during the renovation period. General promotions for Courtyard hotels often include competitive rates, packages for specific events or holidays, and special offers for business travelers. Given the reported issues with mold and construction noise, any promotional messaging from the hotel should ideally acknowledge these areas and reassure guests of ongoing efforts to address them, perhaps by offering specific incentives or guarantees for future stays. For the most accurate and current promotional offers, and to confirm specific amenities and services, it is always recommended for prospective guests to visit the official Marriott website or contact the hotel directly.

Apr 07, 2025 · Chris MinerI had such a great experience at this hotel, the people that worked at the checking desk were so nice and helpful, the woman working the hotel bar was really sweet and took good care of my family and our room was really nice
Mar 30, 2025 · The Blind BeardSo I was a guest at this hotel for 2 weeks back in Christmas 2024. I'm also African American. Let's just say the 2nd day I felt so uncomfortable I wanted to check out. The clerk who checked me in was very nice and over accommodating this soon changed.. I was put on the forth floor. It would appear house keeping didn't check everything in the room. There was no hot water in the face basin pipe and the shower took about 10 minutes to get hot. The drapes were hanging uneven and the lights shining in from the air strip made it difficult for me to fall asleep. The sink was also clogged. Last but not least the heat stop working after 2 days. When I reported the things that needed fixing it was as if I was being dismissed by the maintenance crew. I had to insist that the things I reported was indeed not working. I tried to remain in the room but after a failed attempt to remedy the problems in the room I decided I wanted to change room. I told the overnight clerk who told me she made a note in an email chain. I also called the morning and the morning clerk confirm she saw the note. I had business to do so when I got back I called the front desk to tell them I was back in my room and they could make arrangements to switch my room. By this time the evening clerk who kept putting me on hold every single time I called the front desk, told me when she finally picked up the phone, that she didn't see any email and that the shift had just changed. I have a disability I'm diagnosed with bipolar. I also have OCD and I'm a germophobe. This hotel was anything but accommodating with someone with a disability in my opinion. One morning I was 4 minutes early for breakfast because I was leaving early the morning. I was told by the 2 clerks working that I had to wait until 6 although the breakfast was ready and no guests was around. I always tried to be the first one for breakfast because if anyone stands over the food or doesn't use a utensil or keeps feeling up the food I can't eat it. I missed breakfast a few times because of this. The supervisor Durrel made reference to my debit card being a walmart card in a condesending tone, when $10 was taken out of my account without my authorization by the male clerk on duty after I checked out the first week. At first I was told no monies was taken out of my account. After I took a screen shot of my online statement and email it to Durrel I was then told it was a charge from the prior week which was a lie. The money was taken out the 2nd week I checked in. I am yet to get back the $10 dollars. Theresa was the only clerk who tried to make my stay comfortable. Had it not been for her I would have checked out the 2nd day at the hotel. The staff kept ignoring my calls. For the first week I had to sleep on dirty sheets and keep begging for service I never received. Even when the TV wasn't working I was told there was no one to fix it. I was promised reward points by Durrel that I didn't receive over a week later. When I called to redeem my points from my 2 weeks stay I was put on hold 5 times. I gave my telephone number and full name and email address and was told by the clerk they couldn't find my account. I finally had enough and told the clerk she could take the points and push it where the sun don't shine. I'm yet to get an apology and was told Im not welcome back at the hotel. This is my true experience staying at this hotel
Jan 25, 2025 · Ashley ReynoldsEvery single team member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were extremely clean. Decor/bathrooms were a bit dated but in good condition. Only stayed 1 night for a business meeting in the area, but if I'm back, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Update: stayed here a second time and unfortunately was put in a room right off the lobby where you hear the music all night. Deducting a star. Ask for a new room if they put you in that area.
