Worst hotel ever. Doors are heavy and designed to slam shut. Consequently you hear constant slamming doors every ten minutes. Awful. Poorly designed. And, absolutely NOT worth $100 per night. I would not have been comfortable paying even 50.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta Introduce

When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Augusta, Maine, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta, part of the Marriott family of brands, presents itself as a modern option. Located at 14 Anthony Ave, Augusta, ME 04330, USA, and reachable at (207) 623-2200 or +1 207-623-2200, this hotel aims to provide a comfortable and convenient stay. As a Fairfield Inn & Suites, it typically offers a consistent brand experience, though individual guest experiences can vary.

The environment of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta is generally modern and designed for efficiency. Situated on Anthony Avenue, it offers convenient access to local businesses and traffic, which can be a double-edged sword, as some guests have noted "nearby businesses and traffic make a lot of noise." The hotel's design, including potentially "heavy doors designed to slam shut," can contribute to noise within the building, leading to "constant slamming doors every ten minutes," as one reviewer experienced. This suggests that soundproofing might be a concern in some areas. Despite these noise issues, the overall aesthetic is in line with the Fairfield Inn brand, typically featuring contemporary decor in common areas. The building itself is a four-story structure with interior hallways, enhancing a sense of security compared to exterior corridor motels. The property is smoke-free and aims for sustainability with features like LED lighting and recycling. While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews for this specific location, Fairfield Inn & Suites properties often strive for a clean and inviting atmosphere in their lobbies and communal spaces, as well as their rooms.

The services offered at Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta are geared towards providing a comfortable and convenient stay with value-added amenities. A key service is the complimentary hot breakfast, a hallmark of the Fairfield Inn brand. While one review mentioned breakfast "wasn't served on time," Fairfield Inn's typically provide a "hot breakfast buffet" with options such as eggs, bacon, mini waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, and various bread items. This free breakfast is a significant draw for guests. The hotel also provides free high-speed WiFi and wired internet access in all guest rooms and public areas, essential for both leisure and business travelers. For relaxation and fitness, there is an indoor pool, accessible from 7 AM to 11 PM, and a fitness center equipped with various machines. Other conveniences include a 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, and laundry facilities for guest use. For business needs, the hotel offers a business center, meeting rooms, and a snack bar/deli for quick refreshments. Room amenities typically include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a coffee/tea maker. Ironing boards and hair dryers are also standard. The hotel offers connecting rooms and provides complimentary cribs/infant beds and rollaway/extra beds upon request, catering to families. Pets are generally not allowed at this Fairfield Inn & Suites, with the exception of service animals.

The features of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta, according to guest feedback and brand standards, emphasize modern amenities and functional design, though with some notable drawbacks. The "Great Heat/AC with loud fan" points to effective climate control, a crucial comfort, even if the fan noise is a concern for some. The rooms, despite being described as "very small" by one guest, generally come equipped with a desk and ergonomic chair, making them suitable for work. The presence of an indoor pool and fitness center provides recreational opportunities on-site. The complimentary hot breakfast is a significant feature that adds value to the stay. However, the recurring issue of noise, both from "constant slamming doors" and "nearby businesses and traffic," indicates a potential design flaw or location challenge that impacts guest comfort, particularly for light sleepers. The feedback about the rooms being "absolutely NOT worth $100 per night" and "not comfortable paying even 50" suggests that some guests perceive the pricing as high given the perceived quality and noise issues. While Marriott's Fairfield Inn brand generally aims for a consistent and comfortable experience, these specific reviews highlight areas where this particular location may fall short of guest expectations, particularly regarding noise insulation and perceived value for money. The hotel also offers accessible rooms with features like roll-in showers and grab bars, demonstrating a commitment to accommodating diverse needs.

From a promotional perspective, Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta leverages the strong reputation of the Marriott brand, known for quality and consistency. It would typically highlight its complimentary hot breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center, and free WiFi as key selling points. Its location, convenient to I-95 and local businesses, is also a promotional asset for both business and leisure travelers. However, the negative reviews regarding noise and perceived value for money could present a challenge to direct promotional efforts. While the hotel aims to offer a "refreshing blend of relaxation and productivity," the candid feedback about noise and room size might lead potential guests searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" to consider alternatives if quiet and spacious rooms are high priorities. Therefore, while standard Fairfield Inn & Suites branding promotes comfort and convenience, potential guests for this specific location should consider the balance of amenities against the reported noise levels and value perceptions to determine if it meets their individual needs for a stay in Augusta.

Very small rooms. Great Heat/AC with loud fan. Nearby businesses and traffic make a lot of noise. Breakfast wasn’t served on time.

This property is very well located: close to shopping, dining, and interstate roads. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived a little early. The laundry was clean and reasonably priced. The reason for a 4 in rooms was while the room was clean it was in need of a update. Nice Marriott property and good value in Augusta Maine. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice, quiet hotel with friendly staff. Here are the issues we had, though: We were good we would get a King room but we got bumped to double beds. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. The beds were SO uncomfortable and sunk about halfway when sitting or laying on them. The pillows were flat and had noisy pillow covers. The fridge was only semi-cold and the freezer was a tray of about an inch tall. The water that came out of the tap was brown for the first 15 seconds. The couple across the hall from us were.... enjoying themselves and it was SO loud. It seemed like the walls were super duper thin. The lack of outlets was a huge issue. We had two (I believe) in the entire room. We had to charge phones in the bathroom. The good: nice, super clean bathroom with plenty of towels. Big closet that could hold everything you brought and more. The TV had lots of channels to watch. Ice bucket, sanitary plastic cups, coffee and tea in our room. Nice shower with fancy shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All in all, an average hotel close to restaurants, gas stations, and shopping nearby. I would call ahead and confirm your room isn't bumped and ask for extra pillows, though!

Regular hotel room. We could only get double beds which I don't think any hotel should still have those. Fairly clean. Not super updated. Pool very very very small. I haven't seen any pool so small at a hotel. The pool wasn't the cleanest. More outdated too. It had a microwave and fridge which really comes in handy.
