This has been a truly horrible experience. My husband and I came to this hotel at 1 in the morning after 7 hours of driving. During the check in the receptionist was sweet and polite and gave use the keys to our room. The elevators didn’t work and we ended up using the stairs with our luggage. When we came up to our room, we found that it was not cleaned at all, with trash all over the place and used sheets and towels and etc. We came downstairs to ask for another room. Being provided with one, we took the stairs one more time, and the second room was dirty again…. Dirty towels in the bathroom, trash can on top of the bathroom sink. Toilet dirty with pee, no toilet paper. My husband had to go downstairs to ask for yet another room. The next room had a flooded bathroom. Finally, we were given a clean room with no issues, after my husband having to spend 30 minutes running around at 1 in the morning. The receptionist was very nice and understanding and was trying to help as much as she could, However the hotel itself was just a disaster. This is the first time in a long history of our travels that we have experienced such a thing and I am writing this review so other people can be aware.
For individuals and families seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Parsippany, New Jersey area, Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany, located at 3535 US Highway 46, East at, Cherry Hill Rd, Parsippany, NJ 07054, USA, presents itself as an option. As a Marriott brand, Fairfield Inn & Suites generally aims to provide reliable and comfortable accommodations. However, an objective introduction requires a balanced look at guest experiences, which for this particular location, present a mixed picture.
The environment of Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany, while aiming for the standard of the Fairfield Inn & Suites brand, has received varied feedback regarding its maintenance and operational aspects. Typically, Fairfield Inn & Suites properties are designed to be modern, bright, and functional, offering a comfortable atmosphere for travelers. However, recent guest reviews suggest that while some aspects may be present, there are significant areas where the hotel's physical environment and upkeep have fallen short. For instance, the functionality of critical infrastructure like elevators has been a point of concern, with reports of them not working or having faulty destination boards, necessitating guests to use stairs, even with luggage. This directly impacts the convenience and accessibility of the hotel's environment. Furthermore, the cleanliness of rooms upon initial check-in has been a significant issue, with guests encountering uncleaned rooms, dirty linens, trash, and unsanitary bathroom conditions. This suggests an inconsistency in housekeeping standards that directly affects the perceived quality of the hotel's environment. While the intention may be to provide a clean and comfortable space, the execution, at times, appears to be lacking based on these direct accounts.
In terms of services, the front desk staff at Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany has been commended for their politeness, sweetness, understanding, and willingness to help guests navigate issues. This indicates that individual staff members strive to provide good customer service, even in challenging circumstances. However, the overall service experience, particularly concerning issue resolution, appears to be problematic. Guests reported having to repeatedly request new rooms due to cleanliness issues and being initially placed in rooms directly affected by noisy construction. The lack of proactive problem-solving, such as automatically offering a quiet, clean room as a first option, and the absence of apologies from management when issues arise, suggest a systemic problem in service delivery despite the efforts of individual staff members. This can lead to significant frustration and wasted time for guests, particularly after a long journey. The entrance to the hotel has also been described as "a bit tricky," which can add to the initial difficulties for arriving guests.
Features that are generally expected from a Fairfield Inn & Suites property include complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a fitness center. While these features are standard for the brand, the recent guest experiences do not directly detail the quality or availability of these specific amenities in the provided reviews. However, the core offering of a clean room and functional facilities is fundamental to a positive stay. The issues reported, such as dirty bathrooms, non-functional elevators, and ongoing construction noise directly adjacent to guest rooms, suggest that some of the basic features were either compromised or led to an unsatisfactory experience. The existence of an "accessible room with a shower chair" indicates that the hotel does cater to guests with specific needs, although the accompanying comment about the bed smelling "NOT Good" underscores the inconsistent quality of room readiness. These operational shortcomings directly impact the value and comfort that guests expect from a hotel stay, especially when searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" that promise reliability and convenience.
Promotional information for Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany would typically align with Marriott's broader promotional campaigns. This includes participation in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, which offers members benefits such as exclusive rates, points earning on stays, and points redemption for free nights. Guests often find promotional deals through the Marriott website, third-party booking sites, or by contacting the hotel directly. These can include seasonal discounts, packages for extended stays, or corporate rates. However, given the significant issues reported by recent guests, potential visitors might consider reviewing very recent feedback on various platforms before making a booking decision. While a hotel might offer attractive rates or loyalty benefits, the core expectation of a clean and functional room must be consistently met for those promotions to hold true value. The experiences described, where guests had to spend considerable time at 1 AM running around to find a clean room, significantly diminish any perceived promotional value or brand appeal.
In conclusion, Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany, while operating under the reputable Marriott umbrella, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While individual staff members are noted for their helpfulness and politeness, the hotel has faced severe operational challenges concerning cleanliness, maintenance of essential facilities like elevators, and management of renovation projects. These issues have led to highly negative experiences for some guests, significantly impacting their comfort and satisfaction. For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," it is crucial to be aware of these reported inconsistencies. While the hotel aims to offer standard Fairfield Inn & Suites amenities, prospective guests should exercise caution and consider checking the very latest reviews and perhaps contacting the hotel directly to inquire about current conditions before committing to a stay.

May 16, 2025 · Ann SRooms are clean. The bathrooms are dated. The entrance is a bit tricky. The service was not great. One of the elevators has a broken destination board and will randomly pick a floor for you. It also skips the 3rd floor. I was checked into room 401. And the next morning, 8:49am, construction began in the 2 rooms directly next to mine. The front desk gave me another room directly under that construction. Then I asked for a manager at that point, I was placed on the first floor away from everything. The manager never apologized and proudly said we upgraded you to a kings suite. This should have been the first change option. Now i have an accessible room with a shower chair. And the bed smells NOT Good. Do better!
May 19, 2025 · juwan “DJ Darkcyde” helmAdministrator was very nice, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean, bedsheets didn’t have any spots or hair on them. There was a strong cigarette odor when we arrived. I couldn’t tell if someone smoked in the room before or was smoking in the next room right at this moment. For a non-smoker this was really hard to have to deal with. Since they were all booked, the nice administrator couldn’t help us to change rooms. The second and the biggest issue of our room was that we could hear everything our neighbors were doing. I’m sleeping like a dead person, really hard to wale me up. Here I woke up at least four times. I could hear People breathing in the room we sheared a wall with. At some point they actively enjoyed each other, that woke me up a couple of times. Then I could hear someone else’s TV playing. It was a lot of fun especially because that night I really needed my eight hours of sleep to perform the next day. And the third issue was the elevator. I think it’s as old as this continent. Basically, when fish crawled out of the ocean, the elevator was already here. Buttons get stuck, it makes weird noises, and the inside looks like a piece from a retro museum. There are plenty of better options for that price. Please consider them.
May 17, 2025 · Arty ZakMy family and I had a nice stay despite taking into account other reviews we gave it a try. We were not dissapointed, comfy beds, ok bathroom (fan did not work) ok temp ( ac is quite loud) but overall clean room. Breakfast was quite repetitive but did the job receptionist were nice. About 35-40+ min from Uptown NYC if you wanna visit. Not bad. Would go back if needed but this hotel needs a refreshment or a big renovation for sure. It does the job!
May 21, 2025 · Juan VargasThe hotel is terrible. The website says ‘newly renovated’. Don’t be deceived. Only the exterior of the hotel and the lobby has been renovated. The rooms are terrible. The elevators are scary. Pretty sure if Marriott knew this they would shut it down. Stay elsewhere.
