Reserved one night for our WEDDING day close to $600 for a Thursday night. Was told we would be staying in the top level with river view and romance package. Arrived and placed on 18th floor with nothing but city construction view. Romance package is not worth your money and very underwhelming. Listened to the street cleaners/construction work till about 3am. Not sure how the noise traveled all the way in to the room but I’m sure the city view did not help. This reservation was booked via phone with a live person to make sure we got what we wanted and the (5 star) hotel was given notice this was a special day. They did not even make a small attempt to make it special on there part (card, flowers, a small congratulations sign). Ultimately did not expect anything for free but at least providing a relaxing night and what we agreed to would have been the very least you could provide. Very much felt like a number not a guest. My valet guy was the shining star of the whole building so shout out to my man.

Fairmont Pittsburgh Introduce

For discerning travelers and local users seeking upscale accommodations via "Hotels Near Of Me," the Fairmont Pittsburgh presents itself as a luxury hotel option in the heart of downtown. Located at 510 Market St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, USA, and available by phone at (412) 773-8800, the Fairmont aims to provide a sophisticated and comfortable experience.

Environment and Ambiance:

The Fairmont Pittsburgh is housed in a modern building that forms part of the prominent Three PNC Plaza complex. Its lobby is frequently described by guests as clean and impressive, setting a tone of elegance upon arrival. The hotel strives for a luxurious ambiance throughout its common areas, reflecting its 5-star designation. While the overall impression is one of sophistication, some guest feedback suggests that certain guest rooms might feel "old and rundown" or "tired," which can be a point of disappointment for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel's design incorporates sustainable elements, being LEED-certified. River views are advertised, though some guests have reported receiving rooms with city construction views instead, indicating that view availability can vary and may not always align with expectations, especially for special occasions. Noise from street cleaners or construction has also been a noted issue for rooms facing the city.

Services and Amenities:

The Fairmont Pittsburgh aims to deliver a high level of service commensurate with a luxury hotel. The staff are generally described as friendly, with particular praise often directed towards the valet team for their exceptional service. The hotel offers a comprehensive range of services including a 24-hour front desk, concierge services, and room service. For those traveling with pets, the Fairmont Pittsburgh is pet-friendly, allowing two dogs or cats per room for an additional charge, with service animals exempt from fees. Complimentary wired and wireless internet access is available in all rooms and public areas, catering to both leisure and business guests. Daily housekeeping is provided. For business needs, the hotel features a 24-hour business center and extensive meeting and event facilities, including a grand ballroom and 17 meeting rooms, totaling over 12,000 square feet of adaptable space. Dry cleaning/laundry services, a hair salon, and luggage storage are also available. The hotel offers a daily cooked-to-order breakfast for a fee.

Features and Facilities:

A standout feature of the Fairmont Pittsburgh is its extensive wellness offerings. The hotel is home to a world-class health club, the Fairmont Fit, which is noted for its spaciousness and quality equipment. This includes a fully equipped gym, and a variety of fitness classes. In addition to the gym, the hotel boasts a luxurious spa, "Health Club & Spa," which offers a wide array of treatments, including massages, facials, and body wraps, providing a serene escape for relaxation and rejuvenation. Dining at the Fairmont is centered around its restaurant, which serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel also features a bar/lounge, offering a sophisticated setting for drinks and light bites. In-room amenities typically include flat-screen TVs with premium channels, MP3 docking stations, and mini-bars. Guests can expect premium bedding, including Egyptian cotton sheets, and pillowtop mattresses designed for comfort. Bathrooms usually feature separate bathtubs and showers, bathrobes, designer toiletries, and hair dryers. However, some guest reviews have mentioned issues with in-room amenities, such as intermittently working air conditioning, limited TV channels, and a lack of creamer or sweeteners for coffee pods, which can detract from the overall luxury experience.

Promotional Information and Considerations:

As a luxury hotel, the Fairmont Pittsburgh occasionally offers packages and promotions, which can be best confirmed directly through their official website or by contacting the hotel. These might include special occasion packages (though one review highlighted a disappointing "romance package"), weekend getaways, or business traveler deals. Guests who are members of Accor Live Limitless (ALL) loyalty program may also enjoy exclusive benefits. Parking is a significant consideration, with valet parking available for a substantial daily fee (reportedly around $54). While convenient, guests should factor this cost into their budget. Despite its luxury branding, some customer feedback points to inconsistencies in room quality and service delivery, particularly concerning special requests or expectations for "5-star" attention to detail for celebratory occasions. Potential guests should manage their expectations regarding room views and noise, especially if booking a "city view" room on lower floors. It is advisable for those seeking specific amenities or arrangements to confirm details thoroughly with the hotel prior to arrival, particularly for special events, to ensure their needs are met and avoid disappointment.

Location and Nearby Attractions:

The Fairmont Pittsburgh's prime downtown location is a major draw for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me." It is situated in the Cultural District, offering easy access to Pittsburgh's vibrant arts and entertainment scene. Guests can walk to numerous theaters, including the Benedum Center and Heinz Hall, as well as museums and art galleries. The hotel is directly connected to Market Square, a lively hub with diverse dining options, shops, and seasonal events. Other key attractions within close proximity include Point State Park (approximately 0.5 miles), home to the famous Point State Park Fountain and where the three rivers converge. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate its proximity to PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium, both easily accessible. The hotel's location also provides convenient access to Pittsburgh's business district, making it ideal for corporate travelers. Public transportation options are readily available nearby, further enhancing accessibility to other parts of the city.

My stay was good, but not great. The people were friendly. The valet guys were great. Hotel lobby was clean and impressive. The location in Pittsburgh is fantastic. The room was disappointing for a “5 star“ hotel. It felt old and rundown. The air conditioning worked intermittently. The bathroom felt old and tired. Most of the stations on the television were unavailable. There were coffee pods in the room, but no creamer or sweeteners… it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great.

More like a good 4-star hotel than a 5-star hotel. Had to wait a bit at check in because there was only one person working the desk. Room was good but not great. Room service dinner took 1.5 hours, but was good. Breakfast was quick, but not as good.

I was with a girlfriend that I hadn't seen in a while. We had a wonderful time seeing downtown Pittsburgh. We had a nice dinner at a local restaurant, saw a magic show at Liberty Magic, and had a wonderful breakfast at Sally Ann's. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. The rooms were very clean and nicely laid out. The desk in the room was very handy as I often work while on vacation. The only constructive criticism that I have is the carpet in our room was older and needed to be tightened as it had a stretch bump in it from wear and tear. Overall, it was a beautiful hotel.
