It was great for the price. Very quiet. A little bit dirty and the staff is never available. But that being said,I will be staying again in the future. Compared to other rooms in the $100 a night price range...this was definitely the least sketchy.

May 09, 2025 · Melissa NobleThe desk was never manned. When we first walked in the desk receptionist was nowhere to be found. She showed up and starting fooling with paperwork, totally ignoring those who were waiting. After check in we went to our rooms. There were 3 families in our group and we each had a room. As soon as we walked in we went straight back to the desk to check out. The room was filthy. The tub was peeling. It is hard to describe but the places that were peeling up were sharp. They told us that they would charge us for the night if we left right away. We stayed but we're very unhappy about the condition of the room. The 2 other rooms were even worse. Water was leaking from the refrigerator in one room. The curtains were torn and hanging down. Their tubs were also peeling. I have pictures of the filth on the floor in the bathroom. Didn't look like they ever mopped. I would not recommend ths hotel.

Feb 17, 2025 · Latifah HarringtonWe searched a lot for an affordable hotel in New Orleans and was surprised to find this one. It’s on an old Naval base and for me being a navy veteran I thought it would be cool. It is. It’s right by the Mississippi River with a cool track that you can walk right along the river. Right next to a great little town called Algiers with a Cool little pub called Dry Dock with great food. Anyway the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was affordable. Very clean and well kept. I only gave the room a 4 because the plumbing is something to be desired. Toilets are a little hard to flush and the shower had terrible water pressure. Other wise all was great. Would stay there again for sure. Oh and the icing on the cake? A ferry that runs from Algiers point to canal st New Orleans. Such a great benefit and only 2 dollars a person per trip. Also has a fitness center with pool and splash pad across the street available to guests.
Oct 13, 2024 · lpn nurseRooms are a bit dated but it’s a nice property that was formally a Navy Lodge. Overall not bad for the price and in great proximity to the Algiers Ferry to get you downtown.
