This was my birthday weekend and I was alone and staying April 4th - 7th. I left a day early because I felt unsafe. It was 10 o’clock AT NIGHT and I had just gotten out of the shower. 2 men opened my door WITHOUT KNOCKING but luckily I always keep the second latch locked. When they kept trying to get in and when I yelled at them they said they were trying to do “housekeeping”. I had to SAY go away for them to ACTUALLY go away! Not a minute later the front desk girl called the phone hooked to the room. I told her that it wasn’t okay and that they DIDNT knock. Her reply? “Yeah… sorry”. I immediately left and went to the airport! I called Expedia to see if I can get a refund for that 1 night because I didn’t stay and felt very unsafe. Expedia called the front desk girl and she said no. If you’re a girl solo traveler please don’t pick this hotel, not safe! Oh yeah before I left I didn’t receive an apology from the “housekeepers” and when I asked for the corporate number she didn’t know and just gave me a flimsy card with the hotel number on it. EDIT 4-9: I've called the hotel a few times asking for the HR number and/pr the property manager, the front desk person always says that the PM isn't there and that he didn't know the number to corporate. The email that I found on the website and Google is just a regular GMAIL. No on has reached out to me regarding the situation. This is extremely not okay and I should called the police to make a report about but I wasn't thinking at the time. This company lacks empathy and intelligence. All I want is a refund for the night I didn't stay, an apology AND for them to take accountability of the situation.

HOUSEKEEPING STOLE MY PROPERTY !!!I rented a room for 3 nights. After I returned on the second day i noticed my bed was spread up. I thought nothing of it until i realized my medication and glasses were missing and my soap was in the garbage. I called the front desk and my glasses and medication were no where to be found so the front desk attendant had to call housekeeping. I waited then called back the front desk and housekeeping still had not called back as yet. Some time after, there was a knock at my door and it was the front desk guy with my medicine and glasses. I took the itwms and thought nothing of it until thw following day when i had to use my medicine. To my surprise the single use medicine was discharged and no longer usable. I could have passed this off as a simple mistake but there were two things that just didn't sit right with me. First off whenever housekeeping finds item so left behind in a room it should be given to the manager on duty who should put it up in a safe place in the event that the guest returns for their item. The fact that the manager had to call the housekeeper as he was not able to locate my items shows that potentially my items were removed from the property. Second thing is if a person finds medicine belonging to someone else why would they go to the process of discharging the medicine from its container? Usually when I go to a hotel room I would put up the do not disturb sign as this is one of the reasons why I do not like to have housekeepers in my room to clean it when I'm not there. People may want to argue and say that my items were returned so they were not stolen but in my opinion if my items were removed from my room and they did not remain on the property that is what I would call stealing. From now on I will make sure to travel with my personal do not disturb sign to ensure that no housekeeper ever comes in my room when I'm not there. When i left for the day, i did take my computer and clothes but my medicine required refrigeration so i left it in the refrigerator. My glasses i just forgot on the table but had intended to take it. Another thing that did not sit right with me was the fact that one person at the front desk told me each room is cleaned everyday but the other person told me that rooms are only cleaned upon request and went against checks out. It was easy for the front desk person to see that I would have been staying in my room for three nights. When you stay at a two and a half star hotel you're not really asking for much besides a clean bed to sleep on. Having your items removed from your room is not even acceptable for a one-star hotel and unfortunately Grandview hotel is a one-star hotel

Before the pandemic, I stayed here and was very satisfied with everything. This time, I chose to stay here again, but I was extremely disappointed. The room is very small, with only one bed, and it's quite cold. I turned the heating up to the maximum, but I found the air conditioning was very dirty, filled with dust, which caused my skin to become irritated and dry. Additionally, there was only one clothes hanger in the room, and many details were poorly managed. Considering the over $100 per night charge, this experience feels unjustified. The lobby used to provide hot water and tea, but now there is only cold water, with no coffee or tea available. The soundproofing is also poor; I was frequently disturbed by people using the elevator and talking outside at night, which kept me from getting a good night's sleep. When I checked out the next day, another lady was arguing with the front desk staff. She was very unhappy with the hotel's service, stating that she had booked two nights but was being asked to leave, which made her very angry. Overall, my experience this time was not good, and I hope the hotel can pay more attention to service quality and detail management.

The Grandview Hotel is a basic place to spend the night if you want to spend the night in Flushing, and you want a hotel that's clean, neat, and inexpensive. I was here by myself so I asked for the least expensive room for one person. The room was too small for a double bed. There was a single bed, a small desk with a small flat screen digital, but otherwise dumb TV, a small coffee maker, but no cups suitable for hot liquids, a bathroom with a single person vanity sink, a toilet, and a walk in shower big enough for two people. There was no bedside table for me to set up my CPAP machine, but there was an ironing board. I used that as the bedside table. There's a free parking lot in the back of the hotel, and my room had a grand view of the parking lot. The pillows and the bed were comfortable. The hotel is near LaGuardia airport, but the jet noise wasn't bothersome inside my room. The hotel is wheelchair accessible. If all you want is a clean, comfortable room to spend the night in Flushing, then I recommend the Grandview Hotel.

The punjabi guy who work night shift 19 January , he was very very rude and crazy. In the morning he shouted at me just because i was 15 minutes late for my checkout. Room design was weird and tiny. 1 booked 2 bed room but got 1 and Bed was also too small without any side table. I would like to give zero star if i could.
