Staff was not helpful. Entry into the lobby was difficult. No signage was displayed saying a button had to be pressed to open the sliding lobby doors. Nobody in the hotel would tell me to do that. The lobby was not clean and organized. A hotel employee called in the morning on the day of check-in saying the elevator is broken. Repairs were underway but they were not completed when we arrived. The elevator did not work for the entire three day stay there. Our room was on the ninth floor. The room was somewhat clean but there were holes in the ceiling in the room and bathroom. The beds were adequate enough for a good night's sleep. The room had a good view of Manhattan. In summation, I would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay.

This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the SuperLake Hotel, encompassing its environment, services, features, and relevant customer feedback, all presented without omitting any provided information and strictly based on publicly available details.
The "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category is designed to connect users with immediate or conveniently located lodging solutions. The SuperLake Hotel fits this criterion for travelers seeking accommodation in Flushing, a bustling hub known for its vibrant Asian-American community, diverse culinary scene, and excellent transportation links. Its strategic address on Prince Street places it in the heart of Flushing, offering accessibility to numerous local attractions, businesses, and transit options. This makes it a potential consideration for those visiting Flushing for various purposes, including business, leisure, or as a more budget-friendly base for exploring the wider New York City area, particularly given its proximity to LaGuardia Airport and convenient access to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for events like the US Open.
The environment surrounding the SuperLake Hotel on Prince Street is distinctly urban and highly active. Prince Street is a prominent thoroughfare in Flushing, characterized by a dense concentration of authentic Asian restaurants, bubble tea shops, bakeries, supermarkets, and specialty stores. Guests staying at the SuperLake Hotel will find themselves immersed in a culturally rich and lively streetscape, offering a unique New York experience beyond Manhattan. The immediate vicinity provides ample opportunities for dining and shopping. Public transportation is a significant advantage of this location. The Flushing-Main Street subway station, serving the 7 train, is typically within a short walking distance. This provides direct and efficient access to Midtown Manhattan, Times Square, and other key areas of New York City. Numerous bus lines also operate in the area, enhancing local connectivity. For those traveling to or from airports, LaGuardia Airport is relatively close, making the hotel a practical choice for air travelers. While the area is bustling, the hotel's position within it aims to provide a functional and accessible base. The external appearance of the hotel is generally that of a standard urban building, focusing on providing a practical lodging solution within its vibrant community.
In terms of services, the SuperLake Hotel, like many properties in its price category, offers fundamental amenities essential for a stay. A front desk is available for guest assistance, although one customer review noted difficulty with entry into the lobby due to unclear signage about opening the sliding doors and a lack of immediate staff guidance. This suggests that while staff are present, their proactive assistance may vary. Another review, however, highlights "very friendly and helpful" day and night staff, indicating potential inconsistency or improvement in service quality. While not explicitly stated, basic services such as complimentary Wi-Fi access are typically expected in modern hotels, crucial for guest connectivity. Housekeeping services are generally provided to maintain room cleanliness, as one review mentioned the room being "somewhat clean" or "clean." Phones are available for direct contact at (718) 886-8884 or +1 718-886-8884. A significant point regarding services, as reported by a customer, was the non-functioning elevator during a three-day stay, impacting guests on upper floors (e.g., ninth floor). This is a critical service failure that potential guests should be aware of. While the hotel did inform guests about repairs underway, the lack of completion during the stay is a concern. As a budget-oriented hotel, extensive services like a fitness center, pool, or on-site restaurant are not typically featured. The service model focuses on providing a place to "lay your head," as one review aptly put it, emphasizing basic accommodation over luxurious amenities.
The features of the SuperLake Hotel, as described by customer experiences, highlight its utilitarian nature and some notable aspects. The rooms are equipped with beds that were deemed "adequate enough for a good night's sleep" and "comfortable," indicating a focus on basic comfort. Despite being described as "dingy" by one reviewer, another noted the room was "clean." However, a significant structural feature mentioned is the presence of "holes in the ceiling in the room and bathroom," suggesting maintenance issues. The rooms are equipped with functional elements such as a TV and air conditioning (AC), which were confirmed to be working by one guest. A positive feature highlighted by a customer is the "good view of Manhattan" from the room, which can be a desirable amenity for visitors to New York City. The hotel's location, being "close to the US Open," serves as a key feature for attendees of this major sporting event. The building itself is a multi-story structure, with at least nine floors as evidenced by the review of a room on the ninth floor. The persistent issue of a broken elevator, even after notification of repairs, is a critical functional feature (or lack thereof) that directly impacts guest convenience, especially for those with heavy luggage or mobility challenges. Despite these points, the hotel's ability to "get the job done" for its price point is a recurring theme in the more neutral review, suggesting it serves its purpose as a basic lodging option in a high-demand area.
Regarding promotional information, specific, real-time deals for the SuperLake Hotel are not explicitly provided in the given data. However, as a hotel likely competing on price in the Flushing area, its promotional strategies would typically revolve around affordability and its advantageous location. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with a strong budget focus, potential promotions might include:
It is paramount for prospective guests to carefully weigh the promotional advantages against the reported customer experiences. The significant issues, including cleanliness concerns ("holes in the ceiling"), an unreliable elevator for an extended period, and initial difficulties with front desk assistance, are critical considerations. While the hotel offers a convenient location and potentially good views at an affordable price, the reported issues suggest that it is best suited for shorter stays or for travelers whose primary concern is cost-effectiveness and who are willing to overlook certain imperfections. For a "lengthy stay," one review explicitly advises against it. Therefore, while promotions might make the price attractive, potential guests should temper their expectations regarding the overall quality of facilities and consistent service levels, and perhaps contact the hotel directly to inquire about the elevator status and any current maintenance issues before booking.

Dec 08, 2024 · Ashish PatelOur experience was not at all like a lot of the reviews. It’s what I expected for the price in NYC - a place to lay your head. It’s dingy but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The TV worked, AC worked. The day and night staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed to be close the the US Open. It gets the job done.
Aug 29, 2023 · Gwen CarverNO parking!!!! Attendant was clueless when we asked where we could park. WE We ended up parking in a ramp a block or so down the road. Room was basic and fair. Remote for TV didn't work. Booked for 5 guests - bathroom had only 2 towels. Day bed in one room had no sheets, blanket or pillow. Will NOT return!!!
Feb 18, 2024 · Cathy GardnerOur group arrived really late in the morning and that wasn't a problem, we quickly got into our rooms with no fussing and our room was quite spacious and close to many food options. Our room had two double beds and a pull out sofa bed, everything was comfortable. The only minor issue we had was our bathroom had a few minor problems but the staff quickly fixed the problem, had a few small ants wandering around but in my travels I've seen much worse, The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant, the rooms, appliances and bed was all quite good too that I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Aug 16, 2022 · Tsukasa HiiragiGreat location, Clean, Friendly Staff, I took one star because my first day after check-in my tv wasn’t working in my designated room. I was switched to another across the hall and later the electricity blew out which was fixed. Staff told me I’ll be back in my original room the next day, but i continued my stay in the switched room. Everyday trash was picked and fresh towels were disbursed. I did notice that the bed linen wasn’t changed daily. Other than that my stay was quiet and comfortable. Thanks i would definitely book again!
