Asiantic Hotel is a great value proposition. It's located at the center of Flushing with walking distance to restaurants, food courts, grocery stores and most importantly the 7 subway train to NYC. This is not a 5 star hotel so be realistic with what you are paying for, which is great value. Few tips below: 1. Parking - As of 4/1 I paid $20 per night with validated parking ticket in the Prince Street underground parking garage. It's not easy to spot the entrance, but GPS is correct and it is located on street level with a small entrance to go underground. If you do not plan to use your car, you do not need to go there each day like the hotel receptionist suggests, you just go back when you want to leave (make sure to get validation from hotel). 2. Food options - If you are unsure about the food options, go to the New Century food court where you will have 20+ option available to choose (not sure if the recent fire impacted this location). There is also a grocery place above the food court, you can stock up on water and snacks before going into NYC. 3. Checkout time - The hotel has a check out of 12PM, but was able to push it to 1PM for free and 2PM for a small cost. You can also leave your luggage there after check out if you are not leaving right away. Nearby Restaurant recommendations (non-food court): 1. Asian Jewel (Dim Sum) 2. Fu Yuan (steamed rice rolls, congee( 3. JiBeiChuan Noodles (noodles) 4. Eight Jane (jianbing) 5. SHAKALAKA BAKERY (fancy bakery)

Environment: The Heart of Flushing's Bustle

The Asiatic Hotel New York is situated in the very center of Flushing, a dynamic and culturally rich neighborhood in Queens. This central location immediately immerses guests in a lively urban environment. Within easy walking distance, guests have access to a phenomenal array of amenities and attractions unique to Flushing. This includes numerous restaurants offering diverse culinary experiences, bustling food courts that serve as a gastronomic adventure, and various grocery stores for daily necessities. The environment is vibrant and active, reflecting the diverse community that thrives in Flushing. While it's noted that the hotel faces a busy street, guests have found their rooms to be quiet despite the external activity, indicating effective sound insulation. The biggest environmental advantage, however, is its unparalleled proximity to public transportation. The 7 subway train, which provides direct and convenient access to Manhattan, is within walking distance. The surrounding area is a self-sufficient microcosm, allowing guests to immerse themselves in local culture, particularly the rich Asian culinary scene.

Services and Amenities: Practical Comforts and Valued Conveniences

The Asiatic Hotel New York, while not a 5-star luxury establishment, focuses on providing practical and highly valued services and amenities that cater to the needs of its guests, especially those seeking a great value proposition. The hotel prioritizes cleanliness, with rooms reported as "clean and quiet." Essential in-room amenities contribute significantly to guest comfort and convenience. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, allowing guests to store beverages and snacks, a microwave machine for reheating food or preparing simple meals, and a safe for securing valuables. These features are particularly appreciated by travelers who prefer to have some self-catering options. For breakfast, the hotel offers some Asian options, with a notable mention of the "pork bun" being a guest favorite, providing a taste of local flavors to start the day. Parking is a significant consideration in New York City, and the Asiatic Hotel New York provides a solution. They offer validated parking at the Prince Street underground parking garage for a fee ($20 per night as of April 1st). While the entrance might be a bit challenging to spot initially, GPS guidance is accurate, and guests only need to visit the garage when they are ready to leave after getting validation from the hotel. This service is invaluable for those traveling with a car. The staff members are consistently described as "nice and friendly," contributing to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Furthermore, the hotel offers flexibility with checkout times, allowing guests to push checkout to 1 PM for free and 2 PM for a small cost. The option to leave luggage after checkout is another convenient service for guests not departing immediately, maximizing their time in the city.

Features: Unbeatable Value and Connectivity

The standout feature of the Asiatic Hotel New York is its "great value proposition." This is a recurring theme in guest feedback, emphasizing that the hotel delivers significantly on what guests pay for. It provides essential comforts and an unbeatable location without the premium price tag often associated with New York City accommodations. The primary feature contributing to this value is its central location in Flushing. This means immediate walking access to an incredible variety of food options, from traditional restaurants like Asian Jewel (Dim Sum) and Fu Yuan (steamed rice rolls, congee) to more contemporary choices like JiBeiChuan Noodles and Eight Jane (jianbing), and even specialty bakeries like SHAKALAKA BAKERY. The New Century food court, offering "20+ options," is a particular highlight for food enthusiasts. Beyond dining, the proximity to grocery stores allows guests to stock up on essentials, which further enhances the value aspect by enabling self-sufficiency. The most crucial connectivity feature is the hotel's closeness to the 7 subway train, which is the lifeline to Manhattan. This direct and easy access to the city's major attractions, business districts, and entertainment venues makes the Asiatic Hotel an incredibly convenient base for both tourists and business travelers. The inclusion of mini-fridges, microwaves, and safes in the rooms further enhances the hotel's functionality, making it feel more like a temporary home than a mere hotel room. The friendly and accommodating staff, particularly regarding parking and checkout flexibility, adds another layer of positive features, contributing to a hassle-free stay.

Promotional Information and Guest Experience Insights

For promoting the Asiatic Hotel New York within the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category, the emphasis should unequivocally be on its "great value proposition." This message resonates strongly with travelers seeking affordable yet comfortable and convenient accommodation in the New York City area. Marketing efforts should highlight the hotel's strategic location in the heart of Flushing, stressing the walking distance to a myriad of authentic and diverse food options, ranging from casual eateries to specialized bakeries. The proximity to grocery stores also offers a cost-saving benefit that can be promoted. The direct and easy access to the 7 subway train to NYC is a paramount selling point for both leisure and business travelers, as it significantly reduces travel time and costs to Manhattan. Promotions could feature images of the vibrant Flushing neighborhood and easy-to-understand maps illustrating the short walk to the subway. The in-room amenities such as the mini-fridge, microwave, and safe are significant conveniences, especially for longer stays or for families, and should be prominently featured. The validated parking option, despite its initial discovery challenge, is a valuable service for those driving, and its cost-effectiveness should be highlighted. Testimonials from guests praising the "clean and quiet" rooms and the "nice and friendly" staff should be used to build trust and demonstrate the positive guest experience. Promotional packages could include discounted parking for extended stays or recommendations for local food tours. While it's important to set realistic expectations that this is "not a 5-star hotel," the promotional strategy should focus on the exceptional value and practical benefits it offers, positioning the Asiatic Hotel New York as the smart choice for a convenient, comfortable, and affordable New York City adventure from the lively hub of Flushing.

First time staying in Flushing and Asiatic made our trip very pleasant! The room was clean and quiet despite facing a busy street. Our room also had a mini-fridge, microwave machine, and safe. The breakfast had some Asian options and we loved the pork bun. Location is excellent - very close to the subway 7, and there are so many food options nearby. Staff members were also nice and friendly. If your need parking, the hotel seems to provide valet in collaboration with other lot. We enjoyed our stay and will choose Asiatic again!

Great hotel! Just a 7 minute walk from Flushing Main Street and several trains. The room had a safe, refrigerator, microwave, coat rack, desk, TV, and two chairs! The building was very nice, clean, and kept in good condition. The prize range was rather reasonable for NYC and I didn't expect such a good hotel for the cost. The employees were very professional and nice and they even checked the room for us to make sure we didn't leave anything behind when we checked out. Great service, building, and location!

Booked this hotel last minute, and I don't regret my choice. Rooms are very clean, and breakfast is pretty cool. They have some Asian food there, everything is very tasty. The hotel has a lift, so if you travel with heavy luggage you won't have a problem getting to the room comfortably.

I come back to this hotel again and again. It's well situated to explore the Chinatown. The room is spacious, clean, and well maintained. The service is good. The included breakfast is good. It takes 40 minutes to Grand Central station by subway line 7.
