For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the bustling and diverse neighborhood of Flushing, Queens, New York, the Regal Inn & Suites New York LaGuardia Hotel, located at 134-16 36th Rd, Flushing, NY 11354, USA, presents itself as a consideration. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the hotel, encompassing its environment, services, features, and relevant customer feedback, all presented without omitting any provided information and strictly based on publicly available details.
The "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category is designed to connect users with immediate or conveniently located lodging solutions. The Regal Inn & Suites New York LaGuardia Hotel fits this category for travelers seeking accommodation in Flushing, a vibrant and densely populated area known for its multicultural atmosphere, authentic Asian cuisine, and significant transportation infrastructure. Its strategic address on 36th Road places it within a dynamic urban landscape, offering accessibility to local businesses, cultural experiences, and major transit hubs. This makes it a potential choice for those visiting Flushing for business, leisure, or as a more economical base for exploring the wider New York City area, particularly given its proximity to LaGuardia Airport (approximately 1.2 miles or an 8-minute drive). A key aspect of its location highlighted in reviews is its proximity to Prince Street, known for its numerous restaurants, and a short walk to Flushing-Main Street Station, providing direct subway (7 train) access to Manhattan. Furthermore, it is situated near major attractions like Citi Field (a 17-minute walk or 1.6 km) and Arthur Ashe Stadium (a 4-minute drive or 2.7 km), which is particularly beneficial for sports fans or event attendees.
The environment surrounding the Regal Inn & Suites is characteristic of a lively urban setting in Flushing. Guests can expect to be surrounded by a wide array of dining options, from casual eateries to more specialized restaurants, particularly along Prince Street. Local shops, supermarkets, and essential services are readily available within walking distance. The area maintains a constant buzz, reflecting the energy of a diverse New York City neighborhood. While convenient, the urban setting also means guests might experience typical city noise, a factor to consider, especially given one review mentioning issues with sound insulation. The hotel building itself blends into the commercial and residential architecture of the area, providing a functional rather than a resort-like ambiance. The presence of public transportation nearby significantly enhances the accessibility of the hotel within its environment, reducing reliance on private vehicles. Paid parking is available, both on-site (covered self-parking, USD 50 per night, with height restrictions) and off-site within 200 feet (USD 50 per night), which is a notable feature in a dense urban area like Flushing. This provides options for guests traveling with their own vehicles, though the cost should be factored into the overall stay.
In terms of services, the Regal Inn & Suites New York LaGuardia Hotel offers essential amenities for a guest's stay. A 24-hour front desk is available to assist guests with check-in, check-out, and general inquiries. However, customer feedback critically highlights severe issues with customer service, with one guest describing the front desk lady as "extremely rude" and refusing a refund for an alleged double charge. Another customer reported feeling "hustled" and recommended seeking accommodations with a "reputable name." This suggests that while a front desk service exists, its quality and helpfulness can be inconsistent and problematic for guests. Free Wi-Fi is provided in rooms and public areas, with reported speeds of 25+ Mbps, which is a crucial service for modern travelers. Daily housekeeping is typically included to maintain room cleanliness, although one review noted the bathroom was "quite dirty" with "stains on the walls and build up in the corners." Room service is also listed as an amenity. Luggage storage is offered, though one review found the process "super odd and random," involving storage in a "random storage closet on the second floor with a bunch of random things (broken chairs, old tables, etc)." Express check-out is available, which can be a convenient service for guests in a hurry. A vending machine is also on site for quick snacks and drinks. Pets are not allowed, but children of all ages are welcome, with children 15 years and above charged as adults. The minimum check-in age is 21 years. A cash damage deposit of USD 100 is required upon arrival, refundable upon check-out, subject to inspection. The hotel accepts credit cards, debit cards, and cash, with cashless transactions available. Fees also include a service fee of USD 4.36 per accommodation, per night.
The features of the Regal Inn & Suites New York LaGuardia Hotel are primarily geared towards providing a basic, yet functional, place to stay in a convenient location. The hotel is rated as a 2-star or 3-star property on various platforms, indicating its budget-friendly nature. Rooms generally include air conditioning, private bathrooms with a bathtub or shower (some with rainfall showerheads), free toiletries, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, a refrigerator, an electric tea pot, and a desk. Some rooms also feature a hairdryer, microwave, and soundproofed windows. Beds are described as "comfortable" by one reviewer, although the blankets were noted as "cheap and way too thin," requiring a request for more. The issue of noise insulation is a recurring point, with walls reportedly "not well insulated," leading to disturbances from hallway conversations and even loud music/phone calls from cleaning staff, which is ironic given a "No loud music allowed" sign at the front desk. The property is smoke-free, which is a desirable feature for many guests. Accessible features include an elevator, visual alarms in hallways, lever door handles, and a stair-free path to the entrance for some areas, with smooth and tiled flooring in rooms. Specific room types include 1 King Bed Standard, 2 Double Bed Suite, 1 Queen Bed Standard-Economy, 2 Double Bed-Economy, and 1 King Handicap, offering a range of options for different group sizes and needs. Check-in is from 3:00 PM (with early check-in subject to availability and fee) and check-out is by 11:00 AM (with late check-out subject to availability and fee).
Regarding promotional information, specific, real-time deals for the Regal Inn & Suites New York LaGuardia Hotel will vary by booking platform and season. However, as a property positioned within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category and often competing on price, potential promotions might include:
It is crucial for prospective guests to carefully consider the significant negative feedback regarding customer service, cleanliness issues (particularly in bathrooms), noise insulation, and luggage storage practices. While the hotel offers a convenient location near key attractions and transit, and a potentially economical price point, the documented experiences of previous guests suggest a trade-off in terms of consistent quality and service reliability. The advice from one customer to "go somewhere else with a reputable name" or to avoid getting "hustled" should be taken seriously. Therefore, while the hotel's location and pricing might be attractive for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me," potential guests are strongly advised to set realistic expectations regarding service levels and room conditions, and potentially contact the hotel directly to confirm specific policies or address any concerns before making a reservation.

Nov 17, 2024 · N. NIt did the job... I guess? I stayed here for the location. Right off of Prince Street (lots of restaurants nearby!) and a short walk to Flushing-Main St. Station. The bathroom was quite dirty. You could see stains on the walls and build up in the corners. Showering didn't feel great. The toilet paper roll also fell off the holder often, which was annoying and unsanitary. The bed was comfortable, but the blankets were cheap and way too thin. I had to request for more blankets! I'm a heavy sleeper, but the walls are not well insulated. I could hear people in the hallways talking... And I was shocked to see the CLEANING STAFF would be talking loudly over the phone or playing loud music. Ironic, since the fromt desk had a sign that said "No loud music allowed". Before leaving and checking out, I requested to store my luggage with them for the afternoon. Funny enough - they guided me to a random storage closet on the second floor of the building... Just casually put my luggage in there with a bunch of random things (broken chairs, old tables, etc). This did the job, but super odd and random.
May 10, 2024 · Alisa B.We had a great experience as we were traveling from 13 hours and badly needed an early check inn they provided us room was great service was awesome and location was also not bad since it was only 10min to subway station. We took Subway and went everywhere and came back without any issues. Much recommend.
Aug 20, 2024 · M. Ali KhanTHEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RESERVATIONS. I booked this hotel to go to an event at the Tennis Center. 10 days prior they canceled my reservation saying they were doing renovations they could upgrade me to $1,600 a night room, if I paid that price. I had to scramble to find a different hotel. Suddenly the day I was supposed to arrive, they charged my CC saying they now had rooms at the price I had booked.
May 11, 2024 · Bill KnopfThe hotel is extremely new and just opened a month ago so the rooms were really clean and actually quite spacious. One of the front desk people was pretty nice while the other one not so much. What's annoying is they charge you a fee if you book from other websites which I've never encountered from any other hotels before so that was a pain. But otherwise location is decent and the hotel is quite nice.
