Feb 11, 2025 · Luis VI was charged an additional $350 for allegedly smoking in the room, which is absolutely false. I have severe asthma and cannot even be around smoke, let alone expose myself to it. This accusation is not only completely inaccurate but also extremely upsetting given my medical condition. I am requesting a full investigation into this charge and a refund. This experience was very disappointing and has made me reconsider ever staying here again.

We immediately returned to the hotel to inquire, only to be told that the items were nowhere to be found. These clothes were not inexpensive, and it is standard practice for hotels to store lost items for 30 days. I find it hard to believe that such a well-known and reputable hotel brand failed to meet this basic standard. Is this an issue of the housekeeping staff’s professionalism or the front desk’s negligence? Either way, the hotel’s casual handling of guests’ belongings is unacceptable, and we will not choose to stay here again.

I had booked the trip a month in advance, and arrived at LaGuardia Airport on the night of 27th, excited for my stay. However, just as I was heading to the hotel to check in around 10 PM, I received an unexpected notification that my confirmed reservation had been canceled. What made the situation even worse was I actually called Sheraton Flushing on the 26th in the afternoon trying to confirm that I am coming to the hotel but I did not see the withhold, the man who answered confirmed that he sees my reservation and everything looks good as I would withhold the amount when I check in. There was no explanation provided by the front desk or phone support that night after I received the frist contact-the cancellation notice. When I approached the front desk, I was told they were “short of help” and could not offer any further explanation. The only solution they suggested was for me to rebook the room at the same-day rate, which completely baffled me. Why would I pay more when I had already made my reservation a month earlier at a lower rate? The whole ordeal felt disorganized and unprofessional, and I’m still shocked at the lack of care and responsibility shown by the Sheraton Flushing staff.
