I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but this place really didn’t impress me. When we got there, it took forever to check in because of the service. The staff were a bit rude and worked quite slowly. The elevators were small and old, but I understand they can’t expand them or anything like that. When we got to our room, our light kept flashing. That was okay because there were bed side lights. The room also smelled like smoke (it was a no smoking room) and the toilet didn’t flush. When using the shower, the water sprayed everywhere. The shower was confusing to turn on, and was either super hot or super cold. Overall the rooms were old and were unpleasant. The hotel was across from an abandoned lot, and the view from my window was just a brick wall. However, the hotel was near the French quarter which was really nice. The lobby area, albeit small, was modern and nice (unlike the rest of the hotel unfortunately). The hotel breakfast was also good. Overall, if you’re on a budget, this hotel is okay, but if you can find something better, I would skip out on this hotel.

May 09, 2025 · A MI stayed here for a couple of days a few months ago and still think fondly of the hotel. This isn’t your standard Hampton Inn off the Interstate. It’s a nice old building with tall ceilings, high wall molding, and unusual layouts. Somehow we ended up with some kind of suite with a separate living room and bedroom. It was super quiet and we slept like the dead. The proximity to downtown, French Quarter, and the streetcars was awesome. We were on a road trip and appreciated that there was a proper parking garage around the block. Would stay here again!
Jun 12, 2025 · Joe SorensenNot sure how our experience can be so different then a few recent reviews, but we had an amazing time here. Location is great, service is great, the staff is very kind. The building feels new, the elevators work splendidly, and the rooms are roomy and feel new. I'll still give 4 starts just because the AC was freakish loud, but everything else was perfect. Parking for $25 a night is also very decent considering rates in the area.
Jun 06, 2025 · Ákos Martin-KovácsThis was my first time visiting New Orleans, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I loved the rich culture and the beautiful historic buildings. Our hotel was in a great location, and the staff was very nice. However, the only issue I encountered was that our room was smaller than we had expected, and it had a smell of urine and cigarettes. On the positive side, it was very clean. Once I bought an essential oil burner, the smell faded immediately.
May 31, 2025 · Mika ReedThis is by far one of the absolute worst Hilton properties I have ever encountered. Following an 8-hour drive and late night arrival, I decided to call the property directly to make a reservation for a few nights with the clear understanding of being able to check-in within a matter of minutes. I was initially told I had until 2:00 am to check-in or I would not be able to check-in until 4:00 pm—I have NEVER heard of this policy before because at worst the guest MAY pay an additional fee to check-in or it be waived when you’re a HHonors member [which I am]. The latter is typically at the discretion of the guest services rep., but I digress. After rushing to get to the property to check-in before 2:00 am, the young lady I spoke with completely changed her story and blatantly lied telling me that I was unable to check-in due to her being in the process of completing audit; I have never heard of a hotel with available rooms not wanting to make money. [Need I remind you that from the time I made the reservation with her over the phone to the time I arrived at the property was approximately ten minutes.] When I confronted her about the discrepancies in a professional manner without cursing, belittling/disrespecting her, or acting out of line, she copped an attitude for no reason and called security to escort me out—my 11-year-old daughter was there with me so I’m very sure I was quite the threat. The young lady cancelled my reservation, but refused to give me a folio showing she cancelled my reservation without penalty/charges. The young, black lady with the braces is beyond rude, unprofessional, and has a VERY unpleasant attitude. She desperately needs more training on hotel policies and procedures as well as customer service and professional etiquette. If she is the best you all can do, you’re in trouble.
