The staff really have gone above and beyond in my 3 night stay. Definitely a new property with lots of things in the works, can be challenging but understood. But any issues that came up from engineering to the front desk...just the best of people. I was in town on business the last night just exhausted. Even settled for a 1:30 am hotel lobby sandwich in the little store. I was hungry and just ok with anything. The front desk insisted on getting me some extra condiments even though I was like nah I'm good. Even I wasn't looking out for myself and she sure did, and I was really appreciative all said and done. Thank you! Thank you to the entire team! Looking forward to coming back. For those looking to stay somewhere just a bit from the chaos...stay here. The team will take great care of you!

The Troubadour Hotel New Orleans boasts a prime location at 1111 Gravier St, New Orleans, LA 70112, USA. This address places it squarely in the thriving Central Business District (CBD), offering an ideal blend of convenience to the city's major attractions while providing a slight buffer from the most intense hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. It's a strategic spot that appeals to both leisure and business travelers.
One of the hotel's strongest assets is its exceptional walkability. Guests will find themselves just a "quick walk to Bourbon Street" (around 6 minutes) and Canal Street (about 4 minutes). This means iconic New Orleans experiences—from the historic architecture and vibrant street life of the French Quarter to the diverse shopping and entertainment options on Canal Street—are easily accessible on foot. You can immerse yourself in the city's unique culture without needing a car or constant reliance on public transport.
Beyond the French Quarter, The Troubadour offers excellent proximity to other key destinations. The Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Center, major venues for sports and concerts, are both within a comfortable walking distance, roughly an 8 to 11-minute stroll. This makes the hotel a highly convenient choice for attending games, concerts, or major events. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is also easily reachable. For those arriving from out of town, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is approximately a 20-25 minute drive via I-10, making arrivals and departures relatively smooth. The Union Passenger Terminal is also conveniently nearby. While valet parking is available on-site for a surcharge (typically $50 per day), the excellent walkability significantly reduces the need for a personal vehicle for most city explorations.

It’s a hotel that truly understands the meaning of hospitality, making it an excellent option right here in our own backyard.
The absolute standout reason for locals to consider The Troubadour is its "above and beyond" staff. We Louisianans appreciate genuine kindness and helpfulness, and the team at this hotel consistently delivers. Knowing that the front desk and other staff will "take great care of you," even going the extra mile, provides immense peace of mind and adds a personal touch that makes a world of difference to any stay.
The location is another significant advantage. Situated in the Central Business District, it offers a perfect balance: you're just a "short walk to Bourbon Street" and the French Quarter, allowing for easy access to all the vibrant energy, world-class dining, and unique attractions. This means you can truly immerse yourself in the New Orleans experience without being overwhelmed, making it ideal for a relaxing staycation or hosting visiting family who want to see the best of NOLA.
Beyond the fantastic staff and location, The Troubadour's modern amenities contribute to a comfortable stay. The "vibrant aesthetic" and stylish rooms create a pleasant environment, while the "24-hour fitness center" and the highly-regarded rooftop bar, Ingenue, offer excellent on-site options for relaxation and entertainment. Ingenue, with its "panoramic rooftop views," is perfect for a local night out without even leaving the hotel, offering a unique perspective of our city. For a contemporary, service-oriented hotel that truly cares about its guests and offers fantastic access to New Orleans' heart, The Troubadour Hotel is definitely a place for us locals to check out.

Jun 02, 2025 · Matthew StrongOur experience was horrible here! We waited over an hour for valet to park our vehicle, they NEVER showed up. So we had to park on the street! The location did not have any ice machines but offered guests bags of ice, like how is the ice supposed to stay frozen! There were NO carts to place your luggages on so we had to carry our luggages in by hand while it was raining! The elevator sounded like it was about to break apart. We checked out after seeing the room and the front desk agent didn't even bother to ask why were we checking out so soon. Our anniversary trip was ruined.
Jun 21, 2025 · Donesha Baker-Smiley0/10. I want to rate it a zero but in order to leave a review I need to leave a star. So 1/5. You’re welcome! List of grievances: No phone in the room, charging port in the room does not work, no hand soap, none of the amenities listed in the hotel are open. What am I paying for? Everyday, new excuse. Stayed 5 days.
