Here's my honest review of the Hilton Garden Inn in Baltimore, Maryland's Harbor area. Although I had reservations based on reviews, my experience unfortunately matched the negative views. The hotel's outdated condition is evident in its old rooms, hallways, dining area, and bathroom. Furthermore, the shower curtain and floors were dirty and needed steam washing. However, the hotel's location is a major plus, situated near many stores and within walking distance. One standout staff member was Asia, the front desk agent, who provided excellent service with a smile. As a travel agent, I value her helpfulness, knowledge, and dedication. Thank you, Asia, for making my stay more pleasant. As a certified travel this is very important to me . Thank you again Asia !

Overall a decent hotel. The biggest issue we encountered was the elevators breaking down the last night of our stay, which was quite frustrating especially since we were on the 11th floor. We also had to call the front desk twice to get extra towels because they never came the first time. Despite these issues, however, our stay was very good overall as the front desk staff was super friendly, the parking garage is super easy and convenient, and our room was decently clean for the most part. The location is perfect with it being located right near the harbor with lots of restaurants and shopping around. Although I may consider staying here again in the future, I’m hopeful that they’ll continue improving and update the property, as you can tell it’s somewhat outdated.

I had a really nice stay at this hotel. Great location next to the Inner Harbor area. Almost all main attractions in the city are at a walkable distance. Many shops, cafés and restaurants nearby, and even a Starbucks in the hotel lobby. The neighborhood felt safe even during the evening. Room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Food at the restaurant hotel could be improved. Anyway, a great option when visiting the city of Baltimore.

Good value for the money. Friendly and efficient staff - bellman was superb, with helpful information on parking, checkin and the area. Lots of restaurant choices but be sure to check google before you pick one as there are several fine dining ($100+) establishments mixed in. On-site breakfast - Omelettes and French Toast were VERY good as well as the service. Continental breakfast was ‘free’ if ordering from the menu. Parking is for 24 hours so if you check in late afternoon, you can leave car and walk to attractions the next day. Could be improved - no clear direction on the onsite parking (behind the building/around the block). The pool is part of a fitness center attached to the building. The hours on the weekend are very restricted which is disappointing when the kids are counting on it. Pool closed at 3 on Saturday and was only open from 8-9 a.m. on Sunday before checkout. Pool itself was super warm and there was a hot tub and sauna as well which were not busy at 8 a.m. :). Last but not least, maid or someone had peed in the toilet and left it there which is certainly a turnoff to see first thing. Despite those couple of drawbacks, we spent $50-$75 less than on comparable hotels and I would definitely stay here again.

The best thing about this hotel is the location the inner harbor is literally across the street which leaves you in walking distance to all the action. The rooms were dated but overall they were clean I would stay here again especially for a quick weekend in one of my favorite cities. Baltimore never disappoints if you haven’t been plan a trip you won’t regret it.
