This should've been a 5 star review. The room was immaculate and recently renovated. It's 5 stars, as are the staff service levels. What is not good: room service was terrible. Greasy pizza, apple crumble was never heated and so cold the it didn't even melt the ice cream, but oddly local dish clam chowder is on the fixed menu when I tried to order it I was advised it was the soup of the day and not available, mushroom was the replacement but it was not on the fixed menu. The other complaint would be brutally slow internet. I did get the upgrade and it made no difference. At peak times you can't even email, let alone stream. Also the gym is non existent a couple treadmills and some tiny dumbbells with no where to use them. It's too bad the amenities aren't up to the level of the room. Someone really needs to evaluate the restaurant Chef.

Based on recent customer reviews, the hotel shines with its recently renovated rooms and exceptional staff service, despite some areas needing attention in amenities and dining.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boston Brookline boasts a highly advantageous location at 700 Brookline Avenue. This address positions it directly in close proximity to the renowned Longwood Medical Area, home to world-class hospitals such as:
This makes the hotel an ideal choice for patients, their families, and medical professionals requiring easy access to these facilities. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to select medical centers, a feature highly valued by guests for its convenience, even noting that staff will "swing back around and pick you up" if you miss it, demonstrating their accommodating nature.
Beyond the medical hub, the hotel offers excellent connectivity to the broader Boston area. It's "close proximity to the T" (Boston's subway system), specifically the Brookline Village station on the Green Line, makes navigating the city straightforward and economical. This allows guests to easily reach popular attractions like Fenway Park (approximately 1.5 miles away), Boston University, and downtown Boston. The surrounding Brookline neighborhood offers a pleasant, upscale atmosphere with tree-lined streets and a mix of residential and commercial areas. While a direct "lot of places" might not be immediately next door for walking, there is a "sub/pizza business near by that accepts online orders" and "a few coffee shops near by," providing convenient quick dining options. The overall environment offers a quieter alternative to staying in the bustling city center while maintaining excellent urban access.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boston Brookline offers a range of services aimed at providing a comfortable stay, with some areas receiving high praise and others noted for potential enhancement:
Complimentary Shuttle Service: As a major highlight, the hotel's free shuttle to nearby medical centers is a crucial service for many guests, significantly easing transportation stress for medical appointments or visits.
Indoor Pool: The hotel features an indoor pool, which is a big hit with families, particularly "children loved the pool!" This amenity provides a great opportunity for recreation and relaxation, especially valuable for those with children.
On-Site Dining (with mixed reviews): The hotel has a restaurant offering room service and breakfast. While guests appreciate the convenience, the room service food quality received a negative review, with mentions of "greasy pizza" and unheated dessert. The breakfast is a paid option. This suggests an area for improvement in their food and beverage offerings.
Small Shop/Pantry: A "small shop that was helpful in a pinch" is available, offering snacks, drinks, and essentials, including laundry soap, which is convenient given the on-site laundry facilities.
Laundry Facilities: The presence of "laundry facilities" that were "easy to use" is a valuable service, especially for longer stays or families, allowing guests to manage their own washing needs.
Exceptional Staff Service: This is consistently lauded as a 5-star aspect of the hotel. Guests describe the staff as "super accommodating," going "out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one," and "very professional, efficient and caring." This level of personalized and attentive service is a significant strength.
Housekeeping Options: The hotel offers flexibility with daily housekeeping, and guests noted that "extra towels on request quickly" were provided, demonstrating responsiveness.
Parking: The hotel offers self-parking and valet parking for a fee, which is a typical arrangement in the Boston area.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boston Brookline showcases several key features that contribute to its appeal:
Recently Renovated & Immaculate Rooms: A significant feature, as highlighted by guests, is that the rooms are "immaculate and recently renovated." This ensures a modern, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests.
Spacious Corner Rooms: One guest specifically praised a "corner room" for being a "good size for a family with littles with a crib," indicating that some room configurations are particularly well-suited for families requiring more space.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations: The hotel welcomes pets (dogs and cats with a maximum of two pets per room and applicable fees), making it a convenient option for travelers with furry companions.
Wi-Fi (with noted limitations): While complimentary Wi-Fi is available, a customer review indicated that the "brutally slow internet" even with an upgrade was a significant issue at peak times. This is an area where guests might experience a disparity between expectations and reality.
Limited Fitness Center: The gym is described as "non existent" by one reviewer, with "a couple treadmills and some tiny dumbbells with no where to use them." This suggests that fitness enthusiasts might find the facilities underwhelming.
Safety Considerations: A comment about the sliding bathroom door lacking a lock for "curious littles" points to a minor design detail that some families might note for child safety.
The Hilton Garden Inn Boston Brookline can leverage its strong points while acknowledging areas for improvement in its promotional messaging:
Prime Location for Medical Travelers: The most compelling promotional aspect is its strategic location near the Longwood Medical Area and the convenience of its shuttle service. This makes it a top choice for anyone searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with medical appointments as their primary reason for travel.
Family-Friendly Appeal: The indoor pool, spacious room options, and accommodating staff (especially for families with children) are strong promotional points, appealing to families seeking a comfortable base in Boston.
Newly Renovated Comfort: Highlighting the "immaculate and recently renovated" rooms can attract guests seeking modern and fresh accommodations.
Exceptional Staff Experience: The consistently positive reviews about the staff should be a cornerstone of their promotion. Great service can often outweigh minor amenity shortcomings.
Value for the Location: Guests noted that prices were "comparable to other locations, including using the discounted prices through the hospital," suggesting competitive pricing for its desirable location.
Transparency on Amenities: While promoting its amenities, it would be beneficial for the hotel to manage expectations regarding internet speed and gym facilities, or to outline ongoing plans for upgrades in these areas. For instance, clearly stating the gym's size or specific equipment could help.
In conclusion, the Hilton Garden Inn Boston Brookline at 700 Brookline Ave, Brookline, MA, is a highly recommended option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category for its prime location near Boston's medical and academic centers, excellent shuttle service, and exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. May 23, 2025 · Robin St MartinThis location was a great choice for our families visit to Boston for a doctor’s appointment. Prices were comparable to other locations, including using the discounted prices through the hospital. However, the shuttle feature, pool, and close proximity to the T were the reasons we chose this location. Getting in from the airport was relatively easy. We stayed in a corner room and it was a good size for a family with littles with a crib. I do wish the bathroom door had a lock, but it’s a sliding door, so I’m not sure if it would have been a fire code issue. Just hard to keep curious littles out. They allowed us to opt for daily housekeeping, provided extra towels on request quickly, and had a small shop that was helpful in a pinch since it’s not located closely to a lot of places. The laundry facilities were easy to use and soap is available for purchase in the shop. Our children also loved the pool! The staff was super accommodating and some even went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one. There is a sub/pizza business near by that accepts online orders. It was super easy to pick up and bring back to the hotel for a quick dinner. There are also a few coffee shops near by with the same perks. While the hotel does offer a shuttle to some medical centers, be sure to be on time. If they do leave a few minutes early without you, they’ll swing back around and pick you up. (Ask us how we know! 😅) Over all, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider it again in the future.
May 07, 2025 · Genna McCaslinWe came in the middle of the night at 4 am after having to euthanize our rabbit, we weren’t sure what to expect at this time but when we got there we were treated with compassion. The staff even offered us a hospital stay room price which I thought was very sweet. I definitely recommend this place if you are in need of a place to stay near Boston. They are close to lots of places to eat and parking across the street in the garage wasn’t too much trouble.
Apr 26, 2025 · Raven GroblewskiDrove by the first time because I wasn't exactly sure where to pull up as it was on a very busy street. Based on the location, only valet is available, something good to know ahead of time. Across the street from Boston Children's Hospital Brookline location and just less than 1 mile from the main campus of Boston Children's Hospital. Beautiful hotel, delicious restaurant on site, pool for the kids. Room service is available. Hotel and restaurant were a little pricey but I know that is because of location and I don't have experience staying in this type of location.
Apr 21, 2025 · Denise GI stayed at this hotel when in Boston from out of state utilizing Boston Children’s Hospital. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle to the hospital which was a huge plus. This hotel is in a good location and is extremely secure as you have to use your room key to access everything…even the elevators! Clean! Pleasant staff (for the most part…I think the moments I thought differently were just differences in “demeanor” from what I’m accustomed to in the hospitable “Deep South”—so I’m forgiving of that.). I have no problem giving 5+ stars to this hotel!!!
