We’ve been staying in the hotel for the past 8 years. And it’s to sad that every six months we come back , we can see it getting worse and worse, no maintenance and giving some time to give good image to the rooms. This time we came in may first to may five. And we can see that the hotel looks really old, and the Coming in into the rooms feels really dirty. The carpet it’s shows a lot of dirty spots, the shower has no paint , there’s water dripping the hall time. The shower curtain was broken. The towels are very thin and we even got the towels wit brown spots. The bed looked inside the shits old. We are thinking on trying other options in the same location. Hoping and suggesting to have it remodeled, or at least to give more self care and maintenance to all the rooms and areas. The people it’s fine. But they can work in having better in image and selling what we are paying for. We don’t agree on what we are paying, for the bad and low quality that the hotel has. Hope you can work and give the time to take care of the hotel.
For those seeking extended stay accommodations in the Audubon, Pennsylvania, and greater Valley Forge area, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge is a property that often appears in searches for "Hotels Near Of Me." Located at 681 Shannondell Blvd, Audubon, PA 19403, USA, and reachable by phone at (610) 539-7300 or mobile at +1 610-539-7300, this hotel, as part of the Hilton family of brands, aims to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for guests on longer visits. It typically offers suite-style living with amenities geared towards a home-away-from-home feel.
The environment at Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge elicits varied feedback from recent guests. One review highlights the spaciousness of the rooms, describing them as "clean, and convenient," suggesting a generally positive perception of the layout and immediate living space. This aligns with the Homewood Suites brand standard of offering larger, apartment-style accommodations. The hotel's location is noted as being "right next to two amazing restaurants," which can enhance the dining experience for guests. However, another long-term guest, returning over an eight-year period, expresses significant concerns about the hotel's declining condition. This review points to a lack of consistent maintenance, with specific mentions of dirty carpet spots, a shower with no paint and continuous dripping water, a broken shower curtain, thin towels with brown spots, and old-looking bed sheets. This suggests that while individual rooms might still offer convenience, the overall upkeep of the property and its furnishings may be inconsistent and in need of renovation. The expectation from guests is that the hotel should work on its "image and selling what we are paying for," indicating a perception of declining value for money due to the physical state of the premises. This contrast in reviews indicates that the hotel's environment may not consistently meet expectations for all guests, particularly those with a history of staying at the property.
Despite the differing views on the hotel's physical condition, there is a consistent positive sentiment regarding the staff. Both reviews explicitly praise the people working at the hotel, with one stating, "Every interaction I’ve had with the staff has been a positive experience," and the other simply noting, "The people it’s fine." This indicates that the hotel's staff is generally friendly, helpful, and committed to providing good customer service, which is a crucial aspect of any hospitality experience, especially for extended stays. Homewood Suites typically offers a 24-hour front desk, ensuring guests always have access to assistance. Other standard services for extended stay properties include daily housekeeping, though specifics on frequency might vary based on the length of stay, and laundry facilities. While the staff's positive demeanor is a strong point, the ability of the services to fully compensate for perceived deficiencies in the hotel's physical maintenance is a key consideration for guests.
Homewood Suites by Hilton properties are designed with extended stays in mind, and the Philadelphia-Valley Forge location generally adheres to these brand standards. Key features typically include:
Spacious Suites with Fully Equipped Kitchens: This is a signature feature of Homewood Suites, providing guests with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and stovetop, along with cookware and utensils. This allows guests to prepare their own meals, offering cost savings and a more home-like experience. While the functionality of these amenities is implied, the specific review mentioning "dirty spots" and "broken" elements in the bathroom might raise questions about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of in-suite features, including the kitchen area, though it wasn't explicitly stated.
Complimentary Hot Breakfast: Homewood Suites typically offers a daily complimentary hot breakfast, which is a significant value add for extended stay guests. This usually includes a variety of options such as eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, and pastries. While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, this is a standard brand feature.
Evening Social: Many Homewood Suites locations offer complimentary evening socials (Monday through Thursday) with light fare and beverages, providing an opportunity for guests to relax and socialize. Again, while not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, this is a common amenity for the brand.
Free Wi-Fi: Guests can typically expect complimentary wireless internet access throughout the hotel, a crucial feature for both business and leisure travelers during extended stays.
Fitness Center and Indoor Pool: Most Homewood Suites properties feature these recreational amenities. While not detailed in the provided reviews, they contribute to a well-rounded extended stay experience.
Pet-Friendly: Homewood Suites is generally a pet-friendly brand, though specific policies and fees for the Audubon location would need to be confirmed.
The feedback regarding "thin towels" and "old-looking bed sheets" indicates that even basic amenities, usually expected to be fresh and of good quality, might be showing signs of wear. The suggestion for a "remodel" or "more self care and maintenance to all the rooms and areas" from a long-term guest underscores the need for updates to bring the physical features back to a consistently high standard.
The Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge is strategically located for various types of travelers seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" for extended periods. Its position at 681 Shannondell Blvd in Audubon places it conveniently near major corporate centers and attractions in the Valley Forge and King of Prussia areas. Being "right next to two amazing restaurants" is a direct benefit for guests who may want dining options beyond their in-suite kitchen. The hotel's proximity to routes like US-422 facilitates access to destinations such as the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Valley Forge National Historical Park, and the King of Prussia Mall.
For business travelers, the spacious suites with dedicated work areas and kitchens make it an attractive option for longer assignments or projects in the region. The complimentary breakfast and evening social (if offered) can also add significant value. One reviewer notes it as a "top 5 hotel for its price" for work travel, indicating a positive value proposition despite the maintenance concerns raised by another guest. This suggests that for some, the combination of location, space, and staff service may still outweigh the current condition of the physical property. For families or individuals relocating, the ability to have kitchen facilities and more living space than a standard hotel room is a major draw. However, the promotional message must be tempered by the objective reality presented in recent customer feedback regarding maintenance and room quality. While the brand promises a home-like experience, the current state of the hotel, as described by some guests, may not fully deliver on that promise without significant investment in updates and consistent upkeep.

May 08, 2025 · luis menendez martin del campoThe hotel is right next to two amazing restaurants. Rooms are spacious, clean, and convenient. Every interaction I’ve had with the staff has been a positive experience. I travel all the time for work and this is a top 5 hotel for its price.
Apr 23, 2025 · John MiedemaThe facility is clean and the rooms are nice. People set off the fire alarm almost nightly though. Ice only available on floor 1 and 3. I did stay for work for a few weeks in a row so it was nice. I'm just being honest.
Mar 28, 2025 · truth hurtsStayed here for an overnight while visiting the King of Prussia Mall. I’m a Hilton Honors member and when booking my reservation, I specifically asked to be put in a room on a high floor and to have extra towels. I do the Check-in with the app and digital key. I arrive around 5 PM to find that I’ve been put on the main floor literally 5 feet away from the main desk/office. We arrive at the room to be greeted by a huge bag of garbage - nice. I go in the room to find 2 lousy towels. Great to know this location looks at the special requests. We then decide to get a snack at the little store area. The guy behind the counter isn’t behind the counter but in the lobby watching TV. When we try to pay for some candy, with one of the kiosks, The Nestlé crunch bar wouldn’t scan so we had to disturb the front desk guy from watching TV to help us. Apparently, the Nestlé bar was not in the system and the candy bars ranged from $2 to $3 - of course he charged me $3. We left for dinner and when we came back he was sitting watching TV, again. We had gotten cheesecake from the cheesecake factory, and I went over and asked him if he had any plastic forks we could use. He shook his head and mumbled something, and I took that to be a no, yet the next morning during the free breakfast, there were plenty of plastic forks so I guess it was too much trouble for him. I will say that the room was pretty clean although outdated. The toilet never shut off and ran water all night but I didn’t dare tell the guy at the front desk ( I mean lobby TV) because I knew he’d be no help. The next morning we go for the breakfast. No oatmeal, no waffles, the toaster has to be unplugged otherwise it will never pop up and they have Fox News playing. Really?? The only good I can say about this hotel is that the breakfast ladies were very nice and attentive. This is not a hotel I will return to, nor would I recommend.
