Feb 11, 2025 · Natascha VolschenkRoom for Improvement During my recent stay, I encountered a few issues that affected my overall experience. Our room faced a wall, which meant there was no view and limited natural light throughout the day (see pictures, during the day). Additionally, the room was a bit chilly and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work as it should. The space was also quite small—hardly enough room to comfortably open a suitcase. While the stay wasn’t disastrous, there are definitely areas that could be improved for a more enjoyable experience.

The room was on the smaller side, but it was enough to accommodate two people and two carry-on bags. We were appreciative of the cleaning service everyday as well. The location was great and only a few minutes' walk to different subway stations. If we come back, we will definitely check out this hotel again.
Jan 15, 2025 · Sara TozierHotel 27 by LuxUrban is a great place to stay if you need a no frills place to stay in the Flatiron. The room reminds me of one of the budget hotels in Tokyo. It’s small and minimalist, but clean. There’s no workout room, but there’s a microwave and fridge in each room as well as a working heater/air con that kept our room feeling cozy. I didn’t love the shampoo, conditioner, or soaps, but they work. The thing that we really loved about the place was the location and the price. It was less than $100/night we stayed there (end of Feb) and it was cozy, clean, and quiet. The only complaint is that the heater may be loud for some (if you sleep in a dead silent room, you will hate the heater), and the service downstairs is minimal (though it wasn’t totally rude.). Overall, it’s a good hotel for the price and worth staying again if you’re the type who just need a place to sleep that’s clean and not fussy over little extras.
Mar 02, 2025 · Kat ChanThis hotel is in a fantastic location right in the heart of the Flatiron District, with countless amazing restaurants and bars just a 5-10 minute walk away. The service was excellent, making our stay even more enjoyable. While the room was fairly basic, it served its purpose perfectly – we didn’t come to NYC to spend the whole weekend indoors! It offered a warm, clean space with a comfortable bed and bathroom, which was all we needed. Simple, cozy, and just right for a city getaway!
