What a fab place to stay in NYC. We stayed for 8 nights over Christmas in a 1 bedroom. The separate living area with kitchenette was amazing, our kids could go to sleep and we didn't have to have early lights out as we had the separate living area. The kitchenette was small but had everything we needed to sort breakfast each day. I love that they replace your dirty dishes each day. The room was clean, well serviced by housekeeping, had the most spectacular view of Central Park and heating system was sufficient. Decent amount of storage to unpack as well! The location was perfect for us, away from the craziness of midtown but close enough by subway. Easy walk to central park. A supermarket and delightful across the road and an awesome diner right next door. Staff were friendly and attentive, responsive to some minor issues raised and helpful. The self service laundry on level 5 was fantastic and so helpful for our longer stay as a family of 4! We'd definitely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends!

The hotel is somewhat iconic in NYC and this is reflected in everything one experiences while there; it’s run like a well-oiled machine. Check in smooth, efficient & friendly as were all the staff in the reception area. Extending my reservation was a breeze, with the reservations manager (Dawn) going above & beyond the call of duty to assist in finding me the best rates possible. Even the housekeeping staff were outstanding. The rooms are surprisingly well-sized, well-equipped and offer the added benefit of a little kitchenette which goes such a long way in saving on meals. The views are breath taking! The hotel has the most ideal location being two short blocks away from an express subway station & with a bus stop a half a block away. The upper west side of Manhattan is wonderful in that it has a neighbourhood feel, while also having an endless array of restaurants to choose from, being two blocks from the glorious Central Park & two subway stops from Time Square. I highly recommend Hotel Beacon and wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff for making my stay so memorable.

The bed was super comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. A small kitchenette was great. The location perfect. Close to subway. Supermarket across street. Restaurants and bars right next to the hotel. The real diamond of the Hotel Beacon is the staff. They are personable, kind and on it!! Me and my husband was celebrating our 30th Anniversary and the staff made in memorable in so many ways. The staff is what makes you want to return to this hotel. SHOUT OUT and thanks to David, Victor, Carl, Manny and Yomi! Thanks for making our trip so fabulous. We will recommend and return.
Apr 08, 2025 · Tammy BarthelWe stayed at hotel beacon while visiting NYC from NH. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Very close to Central Park and the Museum of natural history. They upgraded our room to the penthouse suite which I am so grateful for. It was my kids first time to NY and they loved getting the view from the 17th floor terrace. The views of the city at night were incredible. Would definitely recommend the beacon and would consider for future stays in the city as well.

Rooms have a small kitchenette, and there is a laundry room. Central Park and the Natural History Museum are within walking distance. A supermarket is located across the street.
