This was our third stay at La Quinta. The location is unbeatable, steps away from Central Park, with a subway station just steps away. I've experienced other hotels near Manhattan, but I prefer La Quinta for its lovely neighborhood and noticeably less crowded atmosphere. There are plenty of excellent eateries nearby: enjoy a slice at Two Boots Pizza (thank me later!), savor a delightful brunch at Friedman's, or treat yourself to ice cream from Van Leeuwen (they're awesome). You must visit Le Pain Quotidien in Central Park and try the French Crème Donut (located very near the hotel). The complimentary breakfast is not only very good but also a great money-saver. While the hotel and its rooms are on the smaller side, it's the ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking a cozy stay near Central Park without the overwhelming crowds.

Staying at this hotel is absolutely worth it—great quality, price, cleanliness, the morning breakfast, the service, and the front desk staff are very friendly. The metro is just one block away, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!
Feb 17, 2025 · Allison SalgueroThe property itself is an awesome location, super close to Central Park, which is great since that’s where our toddler wanted to spend most of our time in NYC. The hotel is nice, but the friendly and welcoming staff is what puts this place at the top. The front desk staff were great, especially Stephanie! She was super welcoming, sweet to our daughter, and gave some great kid-friendly tips of places to visit. They also let us leave our luggage there on the day we checked out, since our bus didn’t leave until the evening, which was such a relief. Thanks for a wonderful, welcoming, stress-free stay!

Apr 05, 2025 · Michelle BarrymoreSmall rooms, a bit dirty, the shower had hairs on the walls same in the drawers of the bedroom cabinet. The bathroom door knob was broken, only works from inside out so when the door was closed there was no way to access the bathroom. Reported this as soon as we walked in, service guy came to forced open the door and told us to leave it open until he return to fix it but he never returned.. 3 days later still not fix even that we repeatly reported this to the lobby staff. Very bad maintenance. Breakfast is decent, service staff was nice. Excellent location right next to Central Park Straberry fields.
