Hotel Mimosa

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It was easy to find and the check in was smooth and easy. The rooms are small, but well laid out and clean and comfortable. As others have said, you can't really hear the train, and the room was fairly quiet. I felt safe and secure in my room. It's a great location; very easy to get around and they give you so many amazing local recommendations for food.

I was looking for something small, clean, and not too expensive. This place was great. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and very helpful. When we arrived, they gave us four pages of food recommendations and the ones we went to were great. The room is small, but I was really looking for somewhere to sleep and was more concerned about it being clean. Which it was. They also have products in the bathrooms that are nice. It was a little far from everywhere we were going, but there's subway stops for several lines all within a 10-minute walking distance or less. It was mostly an issue later at night when we took cabs home and they were a little more expensive then if we'd been staying in Midtown. Overall, this was a great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere inexpensive, but clean and safe. I would recommend it.

Very impressed. Right smacked in NYC Chinatown, the location is super safe and convenient. Eateries, subway stations are all around the corners. The hotel is tucked away a little so one still finds some serenity there. The establishment is clean, sufficiently equipped and the staff are helpful & friendly. We didn’t know what to expect on terms of noise level since it’s right next to the Manhattan Bridge ( a plus: you can walk to the bridge! Worth a visit to walk across- better than the busy Brooklyn Bridge!) - surprisingly the window insulation is doubled pane and is good, one wouldn’t notice any noise nor vibration unless one really TRY TO listen for it ( plus the thoughtfully put black out curtains). With this price for the City, it simply can’t be beat. We will return if going to NYC again.

Perfect spot and price can't be beat. Very friendly desk staff. Clean, comfortable NYC-sized room. Plenty of outlets. I'm a light sleeper and the trains go by very frequently, but the windows are good at minimizing the noise, and foam earplugs did the rest. If you find the room too warm, the overhead fan is excellent. Very lively and safe area with lots to do. We'll definitely look to stay here a again next time we visit the city.

Truly the best hotel I have stayed at in a long time. The rooms are a bit small, but they pack in an incredible amount of amenities, clothing storage, furniture, charging ports, etc. The bathroom was incredibly clean and modern, all-granite with a walk-in rain showerhead. The soundproofing on the windows is incredible. It's two layered windows that each block out a lot of noise, but together they make it extremely quiet and virtually eliminate the sound of the subway outside. There is also a communal fridge and dining area in the basement. Service was extraordinary -- the staff stored our luggage in a locker after our check-out and were extremely courteous. On top of that, the location is extremely central and walking distance from dozens of cafes, restaurants, and several subway stops. We'll be coming back to Hotel Mimosa every time we're in NYC!
