I only give it 4 stars because I'm considering my wife's experience as well. It was pretty much 5 stars for me. You can tell it used to be an old apt building but that was a part of the charm for me. Parking is not much of a deal. Never been to a hotel where you had to pay for parking. Just like the other Wyndham property we stayed at in midtown Manhattan, you had to get in where you fit in. Good thing we found a spot across the street, otherwise we could see our car from our window upon paying for parking. That wasn't about to happen. Standard breakfast bar fare for Wyndham properties which is always good quality. Very clean facilities though there was a stain on one lobby couch. Pleasant staff. Our room was on the first floor right across from the elevator and cafe which is convenient to me but for my wife who is a light sleeper, she heard every conversation and noise from the elevator to people passing by. Perhaps soundproof those first floor rooms as a consideration? Mattress was as always firm yet plush. Didn't care for what seemed like a limitation on TV viewing options if you use streaming platforms but that was minor. The bathroom was kinda nifty. I thought it was a closet but that was just the choice of doors. First time I saw large pumps of Dove products in the shower instead of the free travel sizes on the counter. Do that it in ALL your properties please! It rocks and I now have a new favorite soap scent. Haven't used Dove since childhood. The location is essentially Park Slope which is a beautiful section of Brooklyn. Walking distance to the subway and a variety of eateries including food trucks. I would definitely stay there again, just in a quieter corner or floor of the building for my wife.

Dec 24, 2024 · Bobby DawkinsThis is my first ever one star review. I stayed here for four nights, leading group of 34 Uni students. We'd booked 17 twins, and one single room. Checkin was incredibly slow, with one person taking about 5-7 mins to check in each room (For context, our previous hotel had all the keys ready to go without this being requested). In a tiny Lobby, this meant most of our party were kept on the street. The Check in details had us staying for 3 nights, despite the fact we'd booked (and already paid) for 4. It became quickly clear that the hotel didn't have 17 twin rooms! So two students had to share a bed. The front desk appeared to be helpful, but nothing changed for our stay despite daily requests. Four days later, I'm still awaiting a response to my email to the group bookings manager. This is really poor. Shower pressure was pretty bleak. I've had more water pressure from being in the rain. Breakfast is small and insufficient in every way. The breakfast rooms can seat 20 at max leading to people sitting on the floor in the hallway. Fruit ran out every morning. Eggs had clearly never seen a chicken. The cutlery may as well have been made from elastic. On the plus side, the beds were comfy, clean, and the location suited us fine. That's worth a star, right?
Apr 01, 2025 · Will DawesThe value for the room was good. The food option for breakfast was limited but for the price I'm not complaining. The tub doesn't have any rubber stopper or a way to hold the water.no hot baths unless you bring your own. Within the 1 night stay the elevator stopped working several times. I was on the 5th floor. Ohh the fun lol
Feb 05, 2025 · Re GToo loud had to keep my TV up loud. Housekeepers blocking the elevator. Nothing to do in this town so I think a lot of couples go to the bar and come back here just not a good location either even though the rooms are nice bed is comfy
Mar 10, 2025 · LynnieBugI had a terrible experience at this hotel. Our room was on the first floor and very close to the breakfast area, which didn't have a door. It was SO LOUD, beginning at 6 AM, and the door to the stairwell kept banging. I hardly slept all weekend and had to miss some of my scheduled activities on Saturday because I was so tired. I recommend going to another hotel if you're staying in Brooklyn. It's worth it to pay more to stay somewhere else, where the rooms will be nicer, bigger, and quieter.
