I stayed at the martinique twice. The first room had two beds and a bit more space. The second room had very little storage space which wasn’t convenient as I stayed five nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The gym is nice and functional. Location is excellent in the heart of Koreantown with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and amenities at the door step.

This is the third year I have taken a group of 15-20 teenagers on a school trip to NYC for a week, and we have always stayed here. The hotel itself is gorgeous - spacious rooms (for NYC!! this is a biggie!) with amazing accommodations. The staff is beyond courteous and helpful, and we have never wanted for anything. The location is perfect for a week in NYC - close to just about everything you want to do - and it has a metro stop literally next door! We couldn't ask for more. I would return here with or without a group of students - it is such a good hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights - Saturday through Monday - in November during Veterans Day weekend. The cost was a bit steep, but no more so than surrounding comparable hotels due to it being a holiday weekend during the Christmas season. The hotel was in a perfect location, steps from Herald Square and a main subway station for access to other parts of the city. So many food options nearby, including a terrific breakfast cart just 2 blocks away. I loved the accessibility and walking distance to the Flatiron district, Times Square, Macy's, Madison Square Garden (where we saw a concert), and more. Our room was clean and of a typical size for regular Manhattan hotel rooms. Not spacious, but we were there to explore the city. Our room came with a mini fridge and 2 bottles of water. There was a small closet but no dresser. The bathroom is also small, but the tub is sizeable and big enough for even taller/larger bodies. Great water pressure, too! All of the staff was pleasant, greeting us each time we entered and exited the hotel. The lobby was gorgeous; I loved the classic tiling and decor. There is ongoing construction, but this did not impact us as our room was away from that area. My recommendation is to make sure you request a room away from that area at check-in if you think it will be an issue. I highly recommend giving a stay here a try.

Terrible Customer Service – Won’t Accommodate Early Check-In! I had a horrible experience with this hotel! After a long trip, I arrived a couple of hours before check-in and politely asked if I could check in early. Instead of being helpful, the front desk staff rudely told me I had to wait until the official check-in time—no exceptions! The lobby wasn’t even busy, and I could see that rooms were ready, but they still refused. For a place that claims to care about guests, they sure don’t act like it. Other hotels I’ve stayed at have always been accommodating when possible, but not this one. Instead, I was forced to sit around and waste time. Terrible customer service, unfriendly staff, and zero flexibility. I will never stay here again, and I don’t recommend it to anyone who expects even basic hospitality! They also said if I want to check in early I need to pay $80 to check in 2 hours earlier Si they do have a rooom they just don’t care about their guests It sounds ridiculous to me to pay for 2 hours half of a nightly rate Also beds are super tiny

Five-Star Review: Hotel Martinique New York City We had a wonderful four-night stay at Hotel Martinique! The hotel’s prime location, paired with its cozy restaurant, convenient coffee bar, and spacious deluxe rooms, made our visit both comfortable and enjoyable. While the location and amenities were fantastic, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional service from Jose, the Bellman. He went above and beyond at every opportunity, assisting us with directions and coordinating all our ground transportation. Jose even took the time to teach us how to navigate the subway—a skill we’ll use for years to come! Roberto, the evening Bellman, was equally professional and incredibly helpful, especially in getting us around the city during gridlock traffic. Both Jose and Roberto’s dedication to guest satisfaction is unmatched, and they are undoubtedly five-star employees. If you’re staying at Hotel Martinique, do yourself a favor and meet them. They’re the reason we’ll be returning to this hotel on our next trip to New York City. Highly recommend!
