A lot of bang for your buck. This joint is a nice joint. I thought their security was above average (which is *always* something to keep in mind in New Orleans). i'm from New Orleans & think the location is actually excellent. Its very close walking distance to "the action" of the French Quarter, but doesn't come w/the downsides of many hotels located chock in the middle of those tourist hot spots like parking a vehicle you may be driving - which is often difficult & expensive - in the area of the Quarter. And the Quarter is often a terrible area to try to drive through at all. There are a lot of choke points & it can get really bad to even get + take a taxi in & out or around. The hotel's room in which i stayed was appealing, clean, spacious, and almost like a full fledged apartment. The main swimming pool was very nice. Very nice area in which to hang out. Nice architecture. Nice vibes. The staff were down to Earth, patient, accommodating, & friendly I've stayed at at least 7 other hotels in close proximity, including multiple +4 star joints, but i think this is my favorite of all overall & its certainly the best price vs value wise.
For those of us here in Louisiana looking to immerse ourselves in the vibrant spirit of New Orleans, finding a hotel that offers a great experience without breaking the bank is always a win. Look no further than the New Orleans Courtyard by the French Quarter. This "joint," as one local reviewer fondly put it, delivers "a lot of bang for your buck." It’s a place that manages to be close to all the "action" of the French Quarter while providing a peaceful retreat from its sometimes-overwhelming energy. It's renowned for its thoughtful amenities, friendly staff, and a fantastic location that's convenient for both exploring and unwinding. Whether you're planning a lively weekend with friends, a family vacation, or a solo adventure, this hotel offers a practical and enjoyable base for your New Orleans explorations.
Imagine stepping out of your hotel and being just a short stroll from the historic streets, vibrant music, and incredible food that define the French Quarter. Then, at the end of the day, returning to a comfortable, spacious room, perhaps even taking a refreshing dip in one of the hotel’s two outdoor swimming pools. The New Orleans Courtyard by the French Quarter is designed to offer a blend of convenience and relaxation, ensuring your stay in our beloved city is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. It truly stands out as a favorite for many, even those who have experienced numerous other hotels in close proximity, due to its impressive balance of price and value.
The New Orleans Courtyard by the French Quarter is strategically located at 1101 N Rampart St, New Orleans, LA 70116, USA. This address places it perfectly on the edge of the historic French Quarter, offering the best of both worlds: immediate access to the city’s most famous attractions and a buffer from the constant noise and congestion that can sometimes be found in the heart of the tourist hotspots. Being on N Rampart Street means you are just a stone's throw from the vibrant energy of Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, and the historic French Market, yet you can retreat to a quieter atmosphere when you're ready to relax.
One of the most significant advantages of this location, especially from a local perspective, is its excellent accessibility and the ease it offers for navigating New Orleans. As a local reviewer wisely pointed out, it’s "very close walking distance to 'the action' of the French Quarter, but doesn't come w/the downsides of many hotels located chock in the middle of those tourist hot spots like parking a vehicle you may be driving - which is often difficult & expensive - in the area of the Quarter. And the Quarter is often a terrible area to try to drive through at all. There are a lot of choke points & it can get really bad to even get + take a taxi in & out or around." This highlights the incredible convenience for those driving in, offering self-parking (for a surcharge) that is much more manageable than trying to navigate the inner Quarter. Furthermore, mass transit, including the New Orleans streetcar, stops right in front of the hotel entrance, providing a simple and charming way to explore the city without needing a car. This fantastic access allows you to seamlessly explore areas like the Garden District, Arts District, or the family-friendly attractions along the riverfront.

For us Louisianians, the New Orleans Courtyard by the French Quarter is an exceptionally suitable choice for a hotel stay. This allows you to truly experience the city's vibrant culture and attractions without the constant bustle right outside your window. The "above average" security is a significant draw, offering peace of mind, and the generally spacious and comfortable rooms, some described like "full-fledged apartments," provide excellent value. Jun 01, 2025 · AnthonyWe had a terrible time checking in due to my friends ID. They refused to accept it (even though TSA & the bars did). They told us the only thing we could do would be to rebook a different room under my name as the good news was they "had availability". We were able to get our 3rd party to switch the reservation to my name without having to do that. The room was musty/moldy smelling so we went and asked to switch rooms and were told "even if we could we can't". The hotel did not clean our rooms every day the floors were filthy. There is no microwave or fridge. There is no vending machine as the website suggests. The "free breakfast" is a tray of pastries that doesn't get replaced until they are all gone. So the following day they just put out what's left from the day before. The pool was "clean" as in they vacuumed it. But no one bothered to use the net to clean anything off the top of the water. We mostly removed the things we didn't want to swim with ourselves. The location was great as it put us close to most of the bustle but d the French quarter. We used mass transit the majority of the time which stopped right in front of the hotel entrance.
May 22, 2025 · Cassandra FletcherCame to New Orleans for the first time with my girlfriend we chose this location because of a fair price and a good location from Bourbon Street and the other bars. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were cool however for the price they should definitely at least include a mini fridge or a microwave. Definitely need to have that stuff In a hotel room nice Staff Kool view off balcony
Mar 09, 2025 · RyderzontheStormAvoid this hotel at all costs. I read the reviews beforehand and, despite the warnings, decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, my experience from April 20 to 23 (during Easter) was even worse than expected. The room was dirty, and both the manager and front desk staff were rude and dismissive. Their customer service was unprofessional—they clearly don’t know how to speak to guests. On top of that, they placed a hold on my deposit, and I’ve been unable to reach anyone to get my money back. I am in the process of reporting them to corporate and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
May 01, 2025 · Emma Davies (Justme)Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere. A short walk to everything and quiet at night. They have a private gated parking lot behind the hotel and worth the extra cost since parking is very difficult throughout the qtr
