Review: Unforgettable Stay at Outbound Stowe Outbound Stowe is hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—they were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They even surprised us with a free upgrade to one of their cabins, and let me tell you, it was amazing. The cabin felt brand new—like no one had ever stayed there before. Everything was spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and the kitchen came fully equipped with all the essentials. There was even a sofa bed and two big chairs outside the cabin where we could sit and take in the peaceful view of the pond. The cabin was full of natural light and just steps away from a scenic recreational path. We stayed for three nights and four days and had an absolute blast. One of the coolest touches was a newspaper-style pamphlet they gave us at check-in. It included curated recommendations for the best coffee shops, lunch and dinner spots, and local attractions—all laid out on a handy map. It made exploring the area effortless and fun. The whole experience—from the stunning views to the incredible hospitality—made this one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. If we’re ever in Stowe again, there’s no question: we’re staying at Outbound Stowe. Forever fans!

Customer Feedback:

While many guests rave about Outbound Stowe, highlighting unforgettable stays, exceptional staff, and beautiful, clean accommodations, some feedback points to areas for improvement. Positive reviews frequently praise the warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful staff, the comfort of the beds, the spaciousness of bathrooms, and the thoughtful design of the cabins and rooms. The fully equipped kitchens in cabins and the thoughtful local recommendations are also appreciated. The stunning views and incredible hospitality contribute to memorable vacations for many. However, a less pleasant experience was noted during a particularly cold February weekend, where a guest experienced issues with room temperature regulation (a freezing ground level in a loft room while the upstairs was too hot), lack of amenities like blankets, and concerns about renovation quality (e.g., poor insulation, bathroom door issues). While management reportedly attempted to address some concerns, issues with resort fee triple charging and unresponsive corporate communication were cited. This suggests that while the overall guest experience is often exceptional, there may be inconsistencies in certain room types or during specific conditions, and communication regarding billing issues could be improved. Room 413 and 313 were specifically mentioned as having issues.

In conclusion, Outbound Stowe offers a compelling option for those seeking a "Hotels Near Of Me" experience in Vermont. With its beautiful natural setting, modern amenities, diverse accommodations ranging from cozy rooms to Scandinavian cabins, and a commitment to hospitality, it provides a unique and memorable stay. While some minor inconsistencies in room conditions have been noted, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding staff, environment, and overall experience makes Outbound Stowe a highly recommended choice for exploring the charm of Stowe, Vermont.

We had a very unpleasant stay. We arrived during one of the coldest weekends in February. And our King room loft, was freezing on the ground level. Where upstairs loft was 80F. No blankets, no sheets in the room for the pull out sofa. We had to reach out twice to get it. The management did attempt to repair the gap , but unfortunately the contractor did a very poor job. The cold air would still come in. And the end the manager offered us to discount a resort fee. Which they triple charged for our stay. I left the feedback for the general manager and reached out to the corporate no response so far. This is just unethical to offer a discount on top of the extra charge just brought it over the top for us. Avoid room 413. Our friends stayed at room 313, the bathroom door wouldn’t close you have to lift it up. I think it just a very poor remodel job across the board. Design choices are also so strange. Being by the ski resort and have zero storage; there is not even close hangers in our loft.

Molly and her staff are top notch. We were with a group of 20+ guests, charter bus, and part of a larger group that rented a private event space there. From the check in process, to fixing room mix ups, and scheduling group meals and events. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional and caring team to help us throughout the weekend. The outdoor jacuzzi and fire pits were a great place to unwind for apre with our group. the onsite food and bev options are great. And having Alfies right next door was a huge perk as well. Mountain shuttles right at the end of the driveway, beautifully renovated rooms and lodge( at the outbound) Our entire group of 24 passengers highly recommends this hotel for your next stay. Thanks for making this an awesome weekend for us!

My stay at Outbound Stowe was unfortunately quite disappointing, especially considering we had booked this as a relaxing staycation. The location is great, with easy access to nearby restaurants and the main street area, and the bed was comfortable, but the hospitality and basic amenities left much to be desired. When we arrived, the room was freezing, and the heating units didn’t work at all. The floors were so cold, I had to call the front desk to flip the breaker just to get some heat, but even then, only one of the two heating units worked. It was a huge inconvenience, especially for a winter stay. We had to rely on portable heaters just to stay warm, which wasn’t ideal. The issues didn’t end there. The entrance to the room was muddy, and we had to use our yoga mats to create a clean walking path. Not something you expect from a place that should offer a welcoming atmosphere. When it came to housekeeping, things didn’t improve. On our first morning, despite not requesting room service, housekeeping came knocking at 9 a.m. multiple times, which was incredibly disruptive. Then, when we finally did request service, they only replaced one towel, took out the trash, and left the bed unmade. The dirty glassware was still left on the counter, and the muddy floors were never mopped, despite that being specifically requested. Another issue we encountered was with the blinds in the bedroom. They wouldn’t come down fully, so the morning sun blared right through the gap, waking us up early. I ended up having to stuff towels in the gap to block out the light. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and polite, and the room itself (aside from the entrance area) was clean. However, the lack of proper heating and the inadequate housekeeping really took away from the overall experience. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, comfort is key, and unfortunately, this place missed the mark in that department. The potential is there, but the hospitality side definitely needs improvement.

Excellent place to stay, right next to Stowe mtn. Newly renovated with updated pool bar/restaurant and hot tub. We stayed in the new stand alone tiny home style cabins and were very pleased, comfortable setting and clean. Highly recommended.
