The Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, Vermont, is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in its cozy, historic charm and treated with genuine warmth. The inn itself is beautifully maintained, with comfortable and inviting rooms, crackling fireplaces, and common areas that just beckon you to relax. The location is perfect for exploring the quaint town of Stowe and accessing the stunning surrounding mountains. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the exceptional service. In particular, I want to give a huge shout-out to Eric and Tyler. We encountered a tricky situation during our visit (which I won't bore you with the details of!), and these two went above and beyond to help us out. They were incredibly resourceful, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring our stay was still enjoyable despite the hiccup. Their willingness to go the extra mile was truly remarkable and made a lasting positive impression. Beyond the outstanding service, the overall atmosphere was just delightful. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our return trip. May 19, 2025 · John RichardsWe love staying in the village of Stowe VT at the Green Mountain Inn. We've been coming back since our honeymoon in 1997. The breakfast is delicious, the Whip Bar and Restaurant onsite has great lunch and dinner options along with a cute bar. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The heated outdoor pool all year is beautiful to swim in under the night sky, and 2 Jacuzzis to choose from! The Stowe Village Massage, a part of the Inn, is so relaxing. The decor and history of the Inn is so unique.
May 16, 2025 · Helen Burns VasquesMy fiance and I came across the Green Mountain Inn by accident. We had a bad experience with our booked Airbnb, and had to drive towards Stowe in a horrible thunderstorm. Green Mountain Inn was the first lodging we came across, and Erik met us with compassion, excellent customer service, making us feel right at home. It’s a quaint property, with a nice historical feel. Prime location, with walkability to many shops and food. Room was comfortable and suited our needs. Delicious breakfast and afternoon tea/cookies. Coffee is always available. Great ambiance with jazz music always playing. We had fun in the game room, too! I imagine it’s fantastic in the summer when the outdoor pool is open! Rye, another staff member was also very kind and helpful!! Would recommend, and return!
May 18, 2025 · Dax SousaThis was not a quality place today. The online description does not meet the actual expectations. It is nothing, but a run down, tourist trap. The inn and rooms are extremely dated and in disrepair. Fireplace in room didn’t work very well, bathtub has jets in them, but tub was work and very very old.. The ‘complimentary breakfast’ was not FREE. You had to pay for all foods at a ridiculous prices.. I’m not an employee or friend of the owner like all the other reviews. I was born and raised in Vermont. This was not worth the price.. it shouldn’t have been more then 100 or 125 dollars a night, not 340.. this place is a rip off.. there are other resorts in town to stay. The location is right on Main Street, lots of noise. Building is horribly dated. Owners obviously don’t take care of it or put any reinvestment back into the upkeep of then buildings. You have to pay for everything. No microwave in the rooms.. furniture were antiques and uncomfortable to sit on.. Do yourself a favor, skip this place and stay at another resort. This is not a good value place to stay. The town was very tourist… not a lot of things to do in early May. No music in the whole town. Restaurants were over priced. 10 percent sales tax on all food, hotels, liquors in Vermont.. you’re better off visiting the Burlington VT area. More to see and do… Even the elevator didn’t work and was out of order. The indoor jacuzzi was disgustingly gross..
May 04, 2025 · Michael LewisThe Green Mountain Inn was a lovely hotel and the perfect spot to spend the night after a day of skiing! The heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi was awesome! Although the outdoor jacuzzi was way too hot to use when we were there. The service was excellent, including the use of the 3 season porch for dinner and games one night. Rooms a little outdated, but the beds were comfortable for a hotel. Nestled in the heart of Stowe, this is a wonderful place and will for sure be back!
