We should have stayed anywhere else.

May 17, 2025 · Candace BachelorI wouldn't recommend this as your first choice stay in Stowe, but I would stay here again. It's a dated, early 90's nautical themed ski lodge. One could argue it needs a major renovation, while others would say it's cozy and nostalgic. Either way, everything was fine - just dated. What the rooms and hotel lack the staff make-up for it. Very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast server every morning and with a smile. Pool and hot tub were 4.5 stars. The onsite bar/restaurant is a solid 3 stars. It's convenient, but there are much better places to eat. Go to Ranch Camp or Backyard for beer and food. You can't beat its location. Everything you want to visit is 10-15min away. Very convenient and scenic drive to and from Stowe Resort.
Feb 25, 2025 · Zach ConeybeerI like that the place has character and authenticity. It is well located on the bus route to the lodge. It has wonderful hot tubs. It could use a little renovation.
Mar 07, 2025 · Barnaby BienkowskiSpent four nights mon to Fri. Beds a little soft for me and very comfortable. Hot tub jacuzzi very good. Strong jets and hot. The good quality coffee table is a nice touch and appreciated. Building is worn but cleaned and maintained well. Spent some time in lobby which is homey and inviting. Comfortable. Would return and recommend if you like this type of place. Didn't go to restaurant but it was busy every night. Nice property and views
Aug 02, 2024 · r laMy room was fairly clean but dusty. Noisy with the restaurant blasting music on a Friday night. Unfriendly staff - a bit out of the way with only 2 restaurants within walking distance means you need to bring food or drive and driving into town is busy and parking hard to find. I recommend paying a little more and staying elsewhere. Photo is from our room - the window was so old, it had permanent spots (not that I really needed to look at cars).
