I stayed here due to zero availability at nearby hotels. The room was filthy. There were stains and cigarette burns in the bedding. Holes in the walls, open gaps between all walls and floors. Hair stuck to everything and the floor was sticky. The smell was atrocious. I did stay....again because of zero availability elsewhere. I dealt with the filth, however waking up to a live cockroach in the sheets was unacceptable. That's a health issue. The front desk didn't want to refund my money, they didn't want to give me management's phone number and then when it was received and a polite complaint was made, "Mike" the manager hung up on me when I asked for the contact information above him. Not only is the place disgusting, but the service is disrespectful and uncooperative with a guest complaint about cockroaches. A formal complaint had to be made via a google search for a corporate complaint line and I am waiting to see if they will at least refund the money. Sleep on the street if that's your only option. It would be cleaner, cheaper and healthier than staying here!!! Don't do it!!!

While the hotel aims to offer convenience and basic amenities, customer reviews reveal a mixed experience, particularly regarding cleanliness and staff responsiveness.
Several guests have reported significant issues with the cleanliness of the rooms, mentioning visible stains on bedding, holes in walls, sticky floors, and unpleasant odors. There have been severe complaints, including the presence of live cockroaches in rooms, which raises health and hygiene concerns. Beyond cleanliness, some reviews highlight rooms being outdated, with issues such as non-functional doors or heating systems. The quality of maintenance appears to be a recurring theme, with reports of damaged fixtures and lack of essential amenities like microwaves or refrigerators in rooms where they might be expected or advertised.
Customer service at the front desk and with management has also drawn criticism. Guests have reported instances where staff were perceived as uncooperative, disrespectful, and unwilling to provide refunds or resolution for serious complaints, such as infestations or unsafe situations. There are accounts of guests feeling exposed or endangered due to staff actions, leading to early departures and disputes over payment. For individuals or families whose primary concern is affordability and a convenient stopover near major transportation routes, and who are willing to overlook potential inconsistencies in room quality or service based on reported experiences, this hotel might be considered. However, it is essential for prospective guests to manage their expectations carefully and perhaps review recent guest feedback before booking, particularly if cleanliness and immediate issue resolution are high priorities. The hotel's value proposition primarily lies in its low-cost accommodation and accessibility, serving as a no-frills option for travelers in the Hamburg area.

May 17, 2025 · Whitney GandeeBesides being a tad on the dirty & outdated side, the area appears to be not good & management is unreasonable. I was in my room around 3pm (check-in) when the people in the room next to mine began fighting loudly, in addition to smoking & it was creeping into my room through the crack underneath the door that adjoins our rooms. I reported it to the front desk person who then went & knocked on their door but only confronted them about the smoking, which of course they denied. She then proceeded to knock on my door, with the problem guests standing there to witness, to tell me that they said they're not smoking. I told her I was concerned about the fighting more than the smoking, but she just left. Her actions directly outed me as the person who reported them, and they began threatening me through the door. They were clearly high on something and it was very unsafe for me at this point, so I packed my things up and was out by 3:30pm (30 minutes past check-in). The manager refused to refund even though it was the careless actions of his employee that put me in danger. They wanted to move me to a different room, but this is a small property and these guests know what I and my very unique car look like, there was no way to ensure my safety on this property. Unfortunately I had to take it up with my credit card company because management wouldn't budge.
May 07, 2025 · jlo 5616Do not stay here. That's my bathroom door which couldn't close. Light over my bed doesn't work. Window curtain doesn't fully close because of missing hooks. Baseboard falling apart. And Bedbugs! Confirmed by Urgent Care. Manager notified and was less than helpful. He promised to call me at the end of the day to resolve this and he never called. Now it's in the hands of Red Roof corporate office and the Hamburg health inspector. Again...Do not stay here. Filthy dump. As of September 20, I am still waiting for a refund. No reply from the hotel manager and nothing from the Red Roof corporate office. As of October 19, The Better Business Bureau has no response from the hotel or Red Roof Corporate office. The Hamburg NY Health Office has also attempted to inspect the dump, but no luck. It's now March 3, 2025. No response from this facility's manager and nothing from the Red Roof Inn corporate office. No response. They were infested with bed bugs and I had to seek medical treatment. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE!
Mar 03, 2025 · Tommy Vee, Hypnotist ExtraordinaireThe worst hotel I ever stayed in, I will never ever stay there again. The toilet & the sink linked water everywhere & it had ROACHES & BED BUGS in the room. I killed a bed bug & took it to the front counter & they told me the manager won't be in until Wednesday, smmh. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.
Mar 03, 2025 · Anthony LarkThe room was disguising and dirty. The floor had not been swept, there was goop on the counters, the tub was dirty, stuff stained on the walls, the sheets were dirty the light fixtures were broken no drawers in the dressers. We had stayed here before and it was never this bad. We will not be staying again.
