Traveling through Louisville, we booked two rooms online, for two nights. Upon checking in, I confirmed the booking for both rooms for two nights. The hotel is passable for a budget hotel. There is a Waffle House basically in the front parking lot, it’s a little run down and dirty, but not awful for the price. After our first night we head out around lunch for the day, not planning to return until later in the evening. When we do, we discover that our room keys don’t work on either room. So we go down to the office to clear it up. When we get to the office, I’m relieved to see it’s the same gentleman who checked us in and figure, no problem, probably just a simple mistake. Not so fast. He proceeds to tell us that a room key was left in one of the rooms and that means, in the hotel’s eyes, that we mean to check out. We point out that we paid for two rooms for two nights. He says they called me several times but couldn’t reach me. Again, I argue, it doesn’t matter, we reserved and paid for the rooms for two nights. He tells us they’ve cleaned up and rented out the room where a key was left, but as a courtesy, reserved our other room for us. After some arguing he gives us a working key to at least get the stuff we’d left behind in the room which, as a courtesy, they didn’t rent out from under us. Only problem is, our stuff is gone. More arguing. In the end, our stuff was stolen, they rented one of our rooms out, tried to blame us, and we left. We are waiting on a refund now. Moral of the story: Avoid at all costs.

May 10, 2025 · James CWe had a very unsatisfactory stay at this hotel. If we had been able to get out of package deal with Priceline we would have gone elsewhere! Room was unclean and lacked toilet paper and towels. When we asked for towels we were ignored and then denied. We were told they didn't have enough towels to go around. The guy at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. We saw drug deals happening all the time. The bedspreads had some sort of sticky oily residue on them. The sheets were clean though. The room smelled bad, the AC barley functioned and the TV remote was useless. As three women traveling alone in another country we were not comfortable and did not feel safe bringing our concerns to the front desk male staff. We only talked to the maid service and they did try to help us but seemed to be unable to. We will be pursuing a refund through priceline!
Apr 10, 2025 · Ghost Hunt AlbertaWhen I made the booking for this red roof I did so by accident, I meant to make it for the one a little ways down the road as I had a pleasant previous experience. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this place had me absolutely floored. The room we were staying in had a foul oder that left me nauseated to the point of me power washing the space with my boyfriends cologne. It had clearly not been cleaned properly as there was unidentifiable crap all over the sink area, a drink container under the bed, stains on the sheets, what looked like spots of dried blood on the bathroom door, and a burn hole in their decorative blanket at the foot of the bed. During the stay I saw a few blatant drug deals as well as a man trying to break into several cars before eventually going through the contents of someones truck bed which was truly alarming. I also discovered this place has a massive roach problem as I left some food unattended for maybe 5 minutes only to find that a cluster of roaches made themselves at home. I get sometimes bugs find their way into rooms but that was inexcusable. Food incident aside I saw roaches occasionally crawling on the walls through the entire stay. The ONLY somewhat pleasing thing about this place was the man who checked me in. He was sort of welcoming and did let us switch rooms the first night after I discovered the TV didn't work. To make a long review short.. if you're going to stay at a red roof in this area make SURE you double check the address because this hotel is beyond awful. It's disgusting and unsafe. I stayed in the same type of room, same price, in the exact same spot as I had at the other location and the differences were alarming. They should be ashamed of themselves. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Jan 30, 2025 · Elaine CourseyI had a time of my life every time I go good movies nice weather in room & good clean sheets no dirt. No bed bugs , roaches or dust mites. Excellent phone service and rewards give discounts!
Mar 29, 2025 · Ra’Nique JonesShouldn't even get 1 star. We stayed here just overnight on our travels. It's Jan 21 and it was freezing of course. They have heaters that don't work. Or at least in the two rooms we seen and one we was in. Go up to the front desk the lady said it takes awhile to kick in. So we waited for about an hour and still the room did not get warm. They have central heat and a window unit for ac. Kinda odd and the first I have ever seen.! So when we go back up there to see if we can change rooms there was a guy there and he told us to stop going in and out of the room and the room would warm up. Ridiculous SMH 😒 came back about 30 mins later to complain again and he tells us about the room next door. He turns the heater on that doesn't work and tell us when it gets to the temp we like it we can move to that room. We waited for an hour and yet the new room was not warm.! 🤣 the dial on the heater didn't even move at all. So basically we froze in this room last night. We don't like driving at night, so Left the next morning.! Thank God we won't have to deal with them again. Now we wonder why all other hotels were full and this one wasn't. Who in the heck wants to sleep in a cold room that they paid for. I suggest you don't stay here. Straight up liars and ridiculous.!
