Mar 19, 2025 · JenniferAwful. Booked a room through priceline and it was re-rented because I showed up late for check-in. They were paid twice for the room and refused me a refund. Just an absolute joke and I was stranded in 18° weather with no room because of fine print. The worst hotel experience I've ever had. F red roof and F priceline.
Dec 16, 2024 · Adam SachsThis place needs to be shut down immediately. My husband and I drove almost 5 hours from Maine to stay here for a wedding. I grew up in this area and didn't even think a hotel around here would be bad let alone absolutely disgusting. I should have read the reviews before coming. I will never make that mistake again. Our room was horrible. Stains all over the couch. It was dirty and musty. The floor had stains everywhere and burn holes. The room smelled like pee and damp basement. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The walls were dirty and I couldn't even imagine how gross the bed was beyond what the naked eye can see. My husband and I lasted 20 minutes in that room and turned the keys in. We almost drove all the way back to Maine but luckily found somewhere else to stay. Someone from the state NEEDS to come in and shut that place down. It was beyond gross and completely unsafe for anyone to stay in. Gross gross gross! Noone ever stay here. How disgusting Red Roof. Never will we stay at any of your hotels again.
Oct 13, 2024 · A voice So brightMy wife and I were so upset with our stay that we didn't stay the night. We turned in our Keys before midnight, and we're told that a manager would speak to us today about a refund. We never received a call. Our room stank of bleach and cat urine. The entire building smelt like a musty basement/animal pee, the room and hallways were dirty, the door handles at the entrance were sticky with some unknown substance, and trash cans were overflowing with garbage. When I spoke to the representative at the front desk, they said "yes, sorry, but the government booked those rooms for refugees." As if that's some type of excuse for the nasty smell. Really dude? Take accountability for your establishment and don't blame others. Hands down the worst hotel experience. Another customer was also at the front desk complaining about their room as well. The toilet bowl wasn't bolted to the ground properly and moved if you sat on it. Mind you, I weigh a normal, healthy weight of 185 lbs. The second lock to our rooms door was broken. Huge security concern. If corporate cares about the brand name of the hotel chain, then they better do something to fix these conditions and crack down on management. We were never offered a different room option or a refund, just a "sorry, it's because of the refugees." Absolutely absurd.
Aug 05, 2024 · ChaseAs a traveling healthcare worker, I was unfortunately assigned to an room infested with cockroaches.I immediately reported the issue to the front desk, explaining that I have a allergy to cockroaches and that I had found a dead one in the room. On the second occasion, I observed a live cockroach crawling on my bed. I also noticed cockroaches on the ceiling and in the kitchen area, particularly near the stove. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was concerning, with visible dirt and debris throughout the common areas. Despite my distress and the unsanitary conditions, the staff initially refuse providing an alternative room. Instead, the staff told me, 'We can refund your stay and suggest you find a different hotel.' However, I was unable to find another available room at that late hour. After further insistence, the staff did eventually provide me with a different room. The staff's dismissive attitude was disheartening . I felt trapped and unsafe during my stay. I believe that the hotel's failure to maintain a clean and safe environment poses a serious health risk to its guests. I would like to share my experience with other travelers to help them make informed decisions about where to stay. I believe that the hotel management should be made aware of this issue and take immediate steps to address it.
