It is poor with being clean. The telephone is filthy. The doors are filthy there rust on the glass shower door and looks unclean. Inside shower and tiles are clean. The microwave does not work at all. Haven't tried the coffee maker yet. The carpet is heavily stained, the bedspread is stained also. The bed was comfortable , and TV had beautiful color which is why I rated it with one star. Will not stay here again.

The Rodeway Inn & Suites Clarence/Buffalo East generally positions itself as a basic, no-frills motel. However, customer reviews suggest a significant disparity between advertised standards and the actual guest experience, particularly concerning cleanliness and upkeep. The overall impression is one of a property in dire need of comprehensive renovation and more diligent maintenance. Guests frequently describe the environment as "poor with being clean," with specific mentions of "filthy" telephones and doors. The presence of rust on glass shower doors and an overall "unclean" appearance are recurring themes, indicating that the hotel's common areas and potentially even guest rooms may not meet basic cleanliness expectations for many travelers. The property is sometimes described with a "rustic well-worn look and smell," which, while perhaps intended to evoke a certain charm, often translates to a dated and neglected feel. Air leaks and drafts in rooms further contribute to a less comfortable environment, especially during colder seasons.
Guest rooms at the Rodeway Inn & Suites Clarence/Buffalo East are generally equipped with a basic set of amenities. These typically include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a microwave, a mini-refrigerator (dorm fridge), and a coffee/tea maker. Free WiFi is available in rooms, and some sources indicate wired internet access as well. Despite these amenities, the condition of the rooms is a major concern highlighted in customer reviews. Guests frequently report "heavily stained" carpets and bedspreads, "random holes in the room," and general signs of wear and tear. Bathrooms often receive specific criticism, with issues such as "rust on the glass shower door" and cleanliness concerns. One review explicitly mentions a shower drainage problem where the "bathtub would be full of water" after only five minutes, requiring guests to wait for it to drain to continue showering. The functionality of in-room appliances can also be an issue, with a review noting a non-working microwave. While the beds are occasionally described as "comfortable" and TVs as having "beautiful color," these positives are often overshadowed by the pervasive cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Information regarding staff interaction is limited, but the provided reviews do not offer strong positive feedback to counter the negative impressions of the physical property. One review mentions that front desk staff did not address a reported issue (the clogged shower) despite being informed, simply stating they would "get maintenance" who "never came." This suggests a potential lack of responsiveness or effectiveness in resolving guest concerns. The hotel does typically offer a 24-hour front desk, which should provide continuous service. Other services often include self-serve laundry facilities. However, a significant point of contention raised by a customer is the discrepancy regarding complimentary breakfast. While the hotel may claim to offer a "free breakfast with your stay," one guest explicitly stated this "turned out to be a lie," suggesting inconsistency or a complete lack of this advertised amenity. This highlights the importance for guests to verify all advertised services directly with the hotel upon booking.

Guests have expressed deep dissatisfaction with the condition of rooms, bathrooms, and even basic in-room appliances. The reported lack of a promised complimentary breakfast is also a major point of negative feedback. Oct 15, 2019 · Karen FortierThe only reason I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 is the the slightly less-than-cramped size of the room. Its bigger than Motel 6 by a few square yards. The tv was also larger by a few inches and there was a dorm fridge and microwave in the room that Motel 6 did NOT have. The rustic well-worn look and smell of the place and it's dressings gives tones of your grandparents house when you were young. The reason it doesn't get more than 2 stars is they were NOT pet friendly when we needed it most; They were more expensive than Motel 6 (who IS somewhat pet friendly) by a bit. While they have the amenities and CLAIMED to have a free breakfast with your stay (the very reason we chose this place) it turned out to be a lie and they did not. Perhaps the person on duty that day didn't care or was just too lazy and chose not to bother. There were freezing cold air leaks and drafts and the bathroom was more cramped than most closets I've seen. Next time I need to stay in a motel I think I'll try to plan it out better.
Mar 14, 2019 · Omega Star MusicNothing special or fancy but the rooms are quiet and they do offer the in room heart jacuzzi tub, and fireplace in the room was a nice touch. No breakfast or any other amenities but if you're simplistic and looking for a place away for the weekend without breaking the bank this is a good spot. Clean rooms a bit outdated but I'm good with being out without the kids. Plenty of dining options in the area. Just make sure to check your receipt before signing it, they accidentally charged me $2000.00 and if I hadn't caught it I'd be in hot water. This place just really depends on how fancy or simple you are.
Mar 05, 2020 · Christy Shade-VerstreateBugs all over the bathroom floor. The walls were stained with food. Microwave was filthy and had food still in it. The freezer still had food in it. The bathroom was filled with mold. The room smelled like rotten food and mold. I walked in and walked right back out. Asked for a refund was told yes that was 3 days ago and 2 calls. Still no refund
Jun 21, 2022 · AmySaw alot of negatives reviews so I was a little worried about the place. Yes it does have a cig smell to it, it is a bit outdated and not flawless. However, it certainly was not the worst place to stay. Bed was comfortable, and no bugs like people have claimed. AC works, TV is nice, our room had a small kitchenette. This place is family owned and operated so being slightly outdated is a bit expected considering the cost of renovations to a place. My only complaint is the price. We paid $123 for the night which is overpriced for what we got. Plus I see the next day that pricing for it is half of what we paid since it's now Sunday. Sucks when the world works based on supply and demand and not on what you are getting for your buck. Oh well.
