The location was amazing. Room upgraded to a fantastic suite with Amex platinum with one full bath and 1/2 bath located in hallway. Bed was so comfy and luxurious shower had lots of hot water. The room was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The mahogany doors gave the room more opulence. Turn down service was outstanding. This was our first visit and we would love to arrange another stay very soon. Restaurants everywhere, shops and stores galore. They was a 50% sale in Feb. at Barbour store. You have to give it a try. Definitely a 5 star stay. Special thanks to Melissa (front desk), Desalegn ( Best doorman in DC, and Daniel (waiter). The young gentleman that initially checked me in was great, but I didn't get his name. Thank you Rosewood for a fabulous stay!

Mar 20, 2025 · j cShocking lack of professionalism from a so-called luxury hotel. I stayed at Rosewood Georgetown recently and had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever encountered. First, we found an old, dried blueberry wrapped inside a “fresh” towel, which also had visible holes. For a hotel of this caliber, that’s inexcusable. But the real issue was billing. Although we had prepaid in full via Agoda, the front desk still charged my card $1,400, $150 and $450 at check-in without explanation, and then, four days after we left, another $1,300 charge appeared. These were not security deposits or holds — they were real charges. To make matters worse, the night shift receptionist was dismissive and had an attitude when I tried to address it. No accountability, no proper explanation, and no follow-up. This is not what you expect from a five-star hotel — it’s sloppy at best, borderline exploitative at worst. I would never stay here again.
Jun 13, 2025 · Dancy chunThis was our second time to stay at The Rosewood and both times were wonderful and relaxing. The hotel is clean and quiet. The rooms are a little cozy but very clean and heavenly comfortable. Service is prompt, professional, and 5 star. The hotel is near everything in Georgetown, and an easy Uber to everything else. We have loved both of our visits to this hotel and it will definitely be our only hotel choice for future trips to the area. Thank you!
Jun 01, 2025 · Richard SeguraThis is my first stay at a Rosewood hotel, and I'm super impressed with this property that is located within the heart of Georgetown. The service here has been top notch, the hotel and room is beautiful, plus the location is about as good as it gets with shops and restaurants all around this property. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property!
May 20, 2025 · A RWe spent one night at the rosewood in dc for a staycation. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I’d highly encourage those considering the property to read the reviews and consider the consistent feedback from customers related to poor service and lack of professionalism. To start we checked in at 3:30 (past original check in time) and were greeted by Ny who stated that the room was not ready. She stated as my girlfriend looked at her watch “I know it’s past 3 pm” as if she was annoyed we were attempting to check in. We were told to wait in the small lobby area and I asked if there was a bar we could wait at. “The bar is closed but we can offer you a bottle of water” as she proceeded to walk away from us. We were shortly after provided keys to the room. The room was a deluxe room and very nice and spacious, but the bath tub had severe dirt and stains. We later asked for dental kits and a steamer before we had dinner reservations downstairs at CUT. Over an hour later and 4 calls we finally got dental kits and the front desk seemed annoyed and when calling down it went straight to messaging. We left concerned, as CUT also has reviews that are less than spectacular and related to service, so we canceled dinner there and went to Bourbon steak at the four seasons. Finally, similar to someone else who wrote a review, we were double charged on two cards after booking directly with the hotel and it was multiple phone calls until it was supposedly remediated as we wait for pending charges to be removed. Both the GM and assistant GM have not returned a phone call or email, and for an experience where the service is absolutely lackluster for a supposed 5 star property. For the money, and similar location, you’d be best suited staying at the Four Seasons where the service is consistently spectacular and they remember your name, apologize for inconveniences, and ask the most simplistic of questions such as “how was your stay?”
