Just stayed for 2 nights at the Staybridge Suites in Quincy, as part of a trip to Boston. The positives of this hotel definitely include the location - less than a 5 min walk to the Red Line trains at North Quincy, giving fast and frequent access to Boston city centre. The bed itself was absolutely massive, and very comfortable, with a choice of pillows. The A/C in the room was also of a high quality, working super quick and easily. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries, although the shower itself had relatively low water pressure, and the sliding shower door wouldn’t stay closed. Now for some of the downsides; overall cleanliness across the hotel was poor. Our room had lots of visible dust, both on surfaces and in the cupboards/drawers, as well as discarded litter under the sideboard. Glasses in the cupboard were also stained with water marks, which we quickly were able to clean ourselves, but showed a lack of care when cleaning had been done. When we arrived, the corridor was full of dirty towels on the floor and black rubbish bags outside rooms. We also found items from house keeping left in our room, such as a clipboard with a cleaners checklist. Whilst the breakfast is included, there was a relatively poor overall choice, particularly a lack of vegetarian or vegan choices. The hot cinnamon buns though are absolutely delicious! The breakfast room was constantly a mess, with dirty dishes left on tables, table tops not wiped, and the floor was always sticky with spilt juices etc. Tables are also far too close together, making it hard for people to move around. Staff were trying to keep on top of it, but were clearly insufficiently staffed to deal with such a busy service. This hotel has a lot of potential to be so much better, with a few small improvements, such as more staffing, and higher quality house keeping. I would recommend for anyone needing a place to stay near Boston, provided the price point is right!
For travelers seeking an extended-stay option or a comfortable base for exploring Boston and its surrounding areas, the Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy by IHG presents itself as a practical choice within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. The Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy boasts a highly convenient location, which is consistently highlighted as a major positive by guests. It is less than a 5-minute walk to the North Quincy Red Line station, providing "fast and frequent access to Boston city centre" without the need for a car. This proximity to public transport is invaluable for navigating the Boston area. The hotel is situated in Quincy, offering a suburban setting that is quieter than downtown Boston, yet still provides easy access to urban attractions.
The hotel is designed as an all-suite property, aiming to provide a more home-like environment for guests. The lobby and common areas are generally intended to be welcoming, with a shared lounge area where guests can relax. However, recent guest feedback suggests inconsistencies in the cleanliness and upkeep of these common areas. Reviewers have noted finding "dirty towels on the floor and black rubbish bags outside rooms" in corridors upon arrival, and the breakfast room was "constantly a mess, with dirty dishes left on tables, table tops not wiped, and the floor was always sticky with spilt juices etc." This indicates that while the design has potential, the execution of cleanliness in communal spaces can sometimes fall short. Despite these observations, some individual rooms are described as "very clean and quiet," suggesting that room-specific cleanliness can vary.
The Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy by IHG offers a range of services tailored to extended stays, providing conveniences that go beyond a typical hotel. A significant amenity is the complimentary hot breakfast buffet, which is a daily offering. While some guests find the "overall choice" to be "poor," particularly for vegetarian or vegan options, the "hot cinnamon buns" are consistently praised as "absolutely delicious!" The breakfast service operates from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends. Despite the quality of some items, the breakfast room's cleanliness and organization can be a downside, with staff sometimes appearing "insufficiently staffed to deal with such a busy service."
Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen, including a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and cooking utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals and offering significant flexibility and cost savings, especially for longer stays. This feature is highly valued by guests. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas, ensuring reliable connectivity. Guest laundry facilities are also available, which is a major convenience for extended stays.
The hotel features a 24-hour fitness center, allowing guests to maintain their workout routines at any time. A 24-hour business center is also provided, catering to the needs of corporate travelers. While the staff is generally described as "courteous and efficient with check in and check out," and "helpful," some issues with housekeeping attention to detail (e.g., dust, discarded litter, water-stained glasses, items left by cleaners) have been noted. The hotel offers a safe at the front desk, and a front desk staff is available 24 hours a day. Pets are allowed for an extra charge of $100 per pet, per stay (dogs only, 2 total pets, no weight limit mentioned).
The Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy distinguishes itself with its all-suite concept and a strong emphasis on extended-stay amenities. Each suite provides more space and home-like comforts than a standard hotel room, featuring separate living and sleeping areas, and the crucial fully equipped kitchen. Rooms also come with large, comfortable beds (often king-sized with pillowtop mattresses and Egyptian cotton sheets), a choice of pillows, and high-quality A/C that works "super quick and easily." Bathrooms are well-equipped with plenty of towels and complimentary designer toiletries, although some guests have reported issues with low water pressure and sliding shower doors that don't stay closed.
The hotel’s direct and close proximity to the North Quincy T Station (Red Line) is arguably its most significant and appealing feature. This makes it an ideal base for exploring Boston's myriad attractions, including Faneuil Hall, Fenway Park, Boston Common, and the Boston Seaport District, without the hassle of driving and parking in the city. The dual-branded nature of the property, sharing a roof with a Holiday Inn Express, also allows for enhanced shared amenities.
While the hotel does not have a swimming pool, it offers a 24-hour gym and a common area with coffee/tea. For parking, covered self-parking is available for a fee of $15 per night, with in/out privileges. The hotel also caters to corporate clients with meeting rooms, including a 700 sq. ft. space capable of hosting meetings for up to 40 attendees. It is also wheelchair accessible and offers accessible rooms with features like roll-in showers.
The Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy by IHG primarily promotes itself as an ideal choice for extended stays and for those seeking convenient access to Boston via public transportation. Its affiliation with IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) provides a strong brand backing and allows guests to earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points. The presence of full kitchens in every suite and complimentary hot breakfast are key promotional points, appealing to budget-conscious travelers and families.
The hotel’s strategic location, "less than a 5 min walk to the Red Line trains at North Quincy," is heavily emphasized in its marketing to attract guests who wish to explore Boston without driving. The pet-friendly policy also broadens its appeal to travelers with dogs. While some reviews mention inconsistencies in cleanliness and service, the overall sentiment highlights its "great location," "comfortable" rooms, and "good price point" for what it offers. The hotel's potential to be "so much better with a few small improvements" also implies a commitment to guest feedback.
By focusing on its extended-stay amenities, strategic location, and IHG brand standards, Staybridge Suites Boston-Quincy positions itself as a practical and value-driven option for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Quincy/Boston area, particularly for those planning longer visits or relying on public transport for city exploration.

May 15, 2025 · Adam NivenThis was a lovely hotel. My room was very clean and quiet. The staff was courteous and efficient with check in and check out. All room amenities (Lights, TV, Clocks, Coffee, Microwave) were in working order. I would recommend this hotel if you are coming to visit Boston.
Apr 01, 2025 · Dorothea HortonI was in Boston to run the marathon. The hotel is very well placed, the rooms are big and very confortable. It takes only 20min by train to marathon buses and also to city center. Breakfast was a mess, in less than 30min there was nothing to eat and they took a lot of time to refill. It was really disappointing they did not open breakfast earlier on race day, I've run over 20 marathons and it's the first time this happens.
Apr 24, 2025 · Marta AndradeReally friendly staff . Lovely breakfast. Very nice king suite very warm . Just we needed to get ubers to where we needed to be but they arrived very quickly. Marshalls. stop and shop and a few shops and restaurant nearby. I would recommend and stay there again.
Mar 02, 2025 · suzanne bullmanTo my fellow healthcare workers that live in hotels for a living like I do, avoid this one. They don't clean the rooms , and they are pretty run down. The hallways always filled with trash and smelly. Housekeeping is non existent, I clean my room before I let house keeping in, no linen change , they don't vaccum or mop( same trash and lint fromyesterday left behind) I almost hate I even called down to ask them. I'm just truly unsatisfied with my stay here , the location is good for work, but I rather drive through a feet of snow 30 mins away than renew my reservation here. A true disappointment, oh and parking is 15 a night, but the laundry is free, but don't expect to wash with hot water is the catch. Healthcare travelers !!!!! Look elsewhere
