Jun 08, 2025 · Ashley GarciaThe Blackbird was an awesome place to stay while exploring New Orleans. The hotel's design from the lobby, to the courtyard/pool area, to the rooms themselves was absolutely beautiful. The location was also pretty convenient, as it's a short walk from many amazing restaurants of various kinds and most importantly the streetcar line that can take you directly to the French Quarter. It's tucked away in a neighborhood that's largely quiet and doesn't feel like it's unsafe in any way. There's even a few cats that roam around (I love them) and the fact that they're not skittish tells you the local area is nothing to fear. Most importantly, the staff are awesome. We were checked in by Caesar who was very welcoming. Jen was an almost constant presence, and though we didn't need her assistance we could see that she worked hard to make sure that everyone was having a good experience. Rachel was our bartender, and she made amazing drinks, excellent conversation, and great recommendations. We pondered two nights in a row where to have our last drink of the day and thanks to Rachel we couldn't think of a better place than the hotel itself.
Jun 06, 2025 · Joseph TurnerWords will never adequately express the level of excellence achieved by this NOLA oasis. My positive experience began days before my arrival. I received a call to confirm my reservation and Jenny inquired which room might be more to my liking. What a concept! I loved it. Upon arrival, I discovered that not only had they upgraded me, but my room was also ready early. What a wonderful surprise! The Welcome chocolates, the welcome drink, the attentive staff, the pool oasis, and the overall vibe of the hotel make it my new personal favorite hotel in the country. I will definitely be back!
Jun 05, 2025 · Marie KiefferThe Blackbird is a cozy and aesthetically pleasing hotel however, we did have a few issues. First off, the room was quite small and was not completely clean. There was hair all in the bathroom, toothpaste on the mirror, and a bracelet from the previous guest. We had to wait until 3 to check in even though we kept getting told we would probably have it early and then for it not to be clean was disappointing. The bathroom was also on a slope so everything would always fall. The pool area was nice and I enjoyed that it was for a young adult crowd but the water was cloudy and the drinks were very watery. We were also charged for the room twice but that was corrected by staff right away. Unsure if I would stay here again to be honest.
Jun 10, 2025 · Julie Generi5 Stars – Moody, Sexy, and Absolutely Unforgettable The Black Bird Hotel is pure magic—dripping in moody, sexy atmosphere with a dramatic, darkly romantic edge. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a stylish dream. Caesar at the bar was a total standout—his cocktails were next-level, and his personality was just as impressive. Charismatic, fun, and full of great energy, he made the bar feel like the heart of the hotel. At the front desk, the stunning Maya was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly kind. Her vibe set the tone for an incredible stay. The pool was luxurious and private—perfect for relaxing in style. The entire place is a vibe: velvety, edgy, and curated down to the last detail. Can’t wait to come back and soak it all in again.
