Jun 17, 2025 · Stephen BarriosI had the opportunity to stay at the Higgins Hotel last week. Unfortunately, I suffered an accident in my room, but the hotel staff responded immediately. I want to make a special mention of one staff member in particular—Boyd—who stayed with me the entire time, offering support until the ambulance arrived. Fortunately, everything turned out well and I’ve since recovered. Aside from the incident, I was very satisfied with my stay. The breakfasts were excellent, and the location is unbeatable. I would definitely return.
Jun 09, 2025 · Carlos PicoI LOVE this hotel. Not exactly a local but I visit NOLA often and if I have a choice of where to stay, this place is it. It’s not near the loud rambunctious streets of the Quarter but still close enough to all the action. Everything is so well appointed in a mix of Art Deco decor and WWII theme. The rooms are modern and clean. They have a great conference room for smaller meetings 10-20 people upstairs and their staff are very accommodating. Great location to WWII Museum, Lee circle and food. You cannot go wrong with this place, ESPECIALLY if you are a history buff.
Mar 29, 2025 · Mindi KeithBeautiful hotel right in the heart of New Orleans. Just across the street from the National WWII Museum and a stop for the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus. The rooms are spotless and well appointed, and the staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful. There's also secure parking adjacent to the hotel. Rosie's On the Roof is a beautiful spot to enjoy a casual dinner outdoors on a nice spring day. It doesn't get much better than this.
May 01, 2025 · Bob MeyersNice rooms, comfy and well furnished. Cleaning products used in the bathroom made the unit reek of bleach. Fun. Location is convenient, especially if you need to get to the convention center. Guests and vibe is more on the nature/conservative side (with lots of WWII decor/tropes). So great for grandparents maybe??? But the biggest downside was the coffee situation. No coffee place nearby. No coffee in the lobby (that I could find). Coffee in the bodega place connected to the hotel was gross and expensive. There is crappy coffee you can make in the room. But, this is really for emergencies (and if you can’t leave your room for some reason). Front desk was attended by polite and helpful people - no complaints there. Place is clean and well maintained. Huge bar connected to the lobby. I did not eat in the restaurant - but you’re in NOLA - plenty of good options in the nearby CBD and French Quarter.
