So this review is due to me booking the room and realizing after I couldn’t go. I asked the to cancel the same day will was weeks ago and was told no. I did not see the insurance until afterwards, but it was the same day. I canceled it the same day or wanted to cancel it. They absolutely refused. So now I’m not canceling. They already have my money they are not gonna turn around and book this room And keep my money because that’s stealing. They’re not gonna double dip. I had sent another email to them asking if they would reconsider never got a response. So I am going to go And then I’ll post another review. That is if I can’t get my credit card for payment canceled. Anyone who’s going to book this hotel please read all the reviews. Don’t pay that kind of money For this hotel.

The Boxer Boston is nestled in the historic Bulfinch Triangle, a location that places guests within easy walking distance of some of Boston's most iconic landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods. Its triangular architecture, characteristic of a flatiron building, gives each of its 80 rooms a unique feel. Guests can readily access attractions such as TD Garden, home to the Boston Celtics and Bruins, which is just a block away. The historic North End, known for its delectable Italian restaurants and sites like the Old North Church and Paul Revere House, is a short 10-minute walk to the east. Similarly, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and the Old State House are also about a 10-minute stroll to the southeast. For runners, the proximity to Beacon Hill and the Charles River offers excellent morning routes. This prime location consistently receives high marks from guests, making it a key draw for the hotel.

The environment of The Boxer Boston is characterized by a "modern industrial chic" design, blending rustic elegance with contemporary touches. The hotel, built in the 1800s, has been recently renovated, respecting its historical context while incorporating sleek features. Inside, stylish wood floors and captivating prints of historic Boston maps adorn the ceilings in some areas. The lobby is designed with ample seating, elegant lighting, and large windows that let in the vibrant energy of Merrimac Street. This unique architectural and interior design creates a distinctive and inviting atmosphere, providing a refreshing alternative to standard hotel aesthetics.

The services at The Boxer Boston are designed to provide a comfortable and effortless stay. The hotel prides itself on excellent guest service, aiming to anticipate and exceed needs. The front desk operates 24 hours a day, offering express check-in and check-out, as well as concierge and valet services from 6:00 AM to midnight. Multilingual staff are available to assist guests. Housekeeping services ensure rooms are maintained daily, though an opt-out service is available for guests who prefer to conserve resources.

In terms of in-room amenities, guests can expect complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a personal Keurig coffee and tea maker, an iHome console, and a 32-inch flat-screen television. Rooms also include an iron/ironing board, a well-appointed desk-and-chair workstation, and premium bedding. Bathrooms feature large, custom-made marble vanity areas, complimentary L'Occitane luxury bath products, glass-enclosed shower spaces with detachable showerheads, in-room hair dryers, and plush robes. The hotel also offers in-room dining services for lunch and dinner.

Beyond the rooms, The Boxer Boston provides a range of hotel-wide amenities. A 24-hour fitness center is accessible with a room key, equipped with state-of-the-art treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and free weights, along with a 42-inch flat-screen television and complimentary water and towels. A standout feature is the complimentary bicycle rental program, offering stylish Republic Bikes, complete with locks and helmets, allowing guests to explore Boston like a local. This is particularly appealing given Boston's walkability and scenic routes along the Charles River. The hotel also features an on-site restaurant and bar, Bulfinch Social, which serves American and local fare for breakfast and dinner, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and comfort food. This restaurant offers a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere.

The Boxer Boston is a pet-friendly establishment, though charges may apply for pets. They also offer facilities for guests with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible public washrooms, fitness centers, and registration desks. For business travelers, a lobby computer station and a business center are available.

Customer reviews highlight several key features. The location is consistently praised as "great" and "perfect" for accessing TD Garden and exploring the city on foot. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, with Ricky at the front desk specifically mentioned for his excellent service, including offering drink vouchers for breakfast due to late arrival. Rooms are described as comfortable, well-appointed, and clean, although some reviews mention them being smaller, which is typical for boutique hotels in historic city buildings. The complimentary L'Occitane toiletries are a popular touch.

However, one notable negative review pointed out a strict cancellation policy. A guest experienced difficulty canceling a same-day booking, even weeks in advance, due to a refusal to reconsider without the purchase of insurance, leading to a frustrating situation. This suggests that guests should carefully review cancellation policies and consider travel insurance when booking. Some reviews also mentioned the rooms being "dark" and the pricing being perceived as high for the room size by a few guests. Valet parking is available but comes with a fee and does not include in-and-out privileges.

From a promotional standpoint, The Boxer Boston frequently offers enticing deals. One ongoing promotion is the "Book Direct & Save 15% Offer," which provides 15% off overnight accommodations when booking directly through their website. This offer also includes complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary use of Boxer bicycles, and access to The Boxer fitness center, as well as fitness clubs and pools at Charles River Park. The hotel also runs gift card promotions, such as receiving a $25 bonus gift card for every $100 gift card purchased during specific periods, allowing guests to give the gift of travel to friends or family. These promotions make a stay at The Boxer Boston even more appealing, especially for those looking for a value-added experience in a prime location.

In summary, The Boxer Boston, found readily when searching "Hotels Near Of Me," offers a compelling blend of historical charm, modern amenities, and an unbeatable location in downtown Boston. Its unique design, attentive staff, and convenient services cater to a wide range of travelers. While being mindful of specific policies like cancellation, the overall guest experience, enhanced by features like complimentary bike rentals and a well-equipped fitness center, solidifies its position as a highly recommended choice for a memorable stay in Boston.

The hotel is in a great spot. I'm a runner, so it was great to run through beacon hill and along the charles in the morning. The rooms are smaller, but very comfortable. Ricky, the person running the front desk when we arrived was the man! We got in late, and there were drink vouchers that came with our rooms. He told us since it was so late, we could use them toward breakfast, which was great. This was a work trip, so that was perfect. He was so nice to us and very helpful. I'd stay here again.

My dad it was visiting me in Boston and we went to the Devils game. He stayed at this hotel Richard was amazing. He helps out a lot at the front desk. We really appreciated him. I got a charge on my credit card for 250 for smoking, but my dad is not smoke. I talked to Richard and he helped me out with everything and they said it was gonna go on my account and then this lady Jaden, who I was on the phone with a week after trying to tell me about why there’s a charge on my account was so rude and negative. She didn’t even talk to me about it. She said a lot of excuses and she said I don’t know why he would tell you this, but in the end of the result, she hung up on me. I do not recommend this hotel the only person I recommend is Richard. He was a sweetheart and a half, and I really appreciate all of his help. Everyone else was horrible and the room was not even that great.

I stayed at The Boxer for a business trip, which included a Bruins game at TD Garden. That said, the location was very convenient for me, and it's a very simple walk around the corner to get to TD Garden. I would rate this hotel higher if not for a few key points that made it a less than perfect experience. I'll start with the biggest, most glaring issue: The beds: I had a king sized bed on the 8th floor. These beds are outrageously soft, and so are the pillows. They have basically zero firmness or structural support, and that's even though it's a spring mattress. If you enjoy waking up feeling like you got mugged in the middle of the night and that someone kicked you in your lower back, then the bed I slept in is perfect for you! The pillows felt pointless to use. I could get some firmness by stacking three of them on top of one another, but then on top of this bed killing my back, it'd kill my neck too. No thanks. Check-in: The staff were all really nice and accommodating, though it seems to be an overly strict policy that you absolutely cannot check-in early to your room at all unless you're willing to drop an extra $100 to make it happen. Snacks and such in the room: It's a good thing I read the room service menu. It makes it clear that those small bottles of water in the fridge they'll charge you $6/piece for if you happen to open them. Same with the bag of chips, or the crackers. I can understand charging for pre-made cocktails, but no price was listed on those, and I'd be willing to bet they were way overpriced like everything else. I very much question the mandatory $25 "amenity fee" when it clearly doesn't get you anything worth it and is billed to everyone. It's a "just because" cash grab, obviously. Other reviews said free cocoa and stuff, but that never happened here, so maybe they messed up this time. Perhaps if that's the case, the obvious cash grab BS "amenity fee" shoudn't be a thing. Actual good things though: > Location is definitely convenient to TD Garden and the surrounding area. > Staff were nice and accommodating, but subject to hotel policies > The hotel itself is nice Other kinda negative things: > The TV placement in the rooms seems very odd. My TV was barely aligned with the bed at all and facing at a different angle, and was also mounted to the wall with a weird metal desk around it, so the vertical metal supports block a good portion of the TV screen. It's good I was solo-- Someone on the left side of the bed would have been SOL, which is extra bad since it's not like that soft AF bed would allow any sober person to ever get any real sleep, but then TV would also be out of the question.
